Visual will always mean who fits “ Korean beauty standards” the best. You may think someone else is prettier based on your own standards. But being the visual means they fit what Koreans find “ most beautiful”.
This is REALLY funny, considering how strict the Korean Beauty Standard is, that a Taiwanese lady is the 'Visual' of this group because three of the members are in fact Korean. That shows that the KBS is just plain BULLSHIT and that it really means nothing except trying to make others feel bad for not being some perceived 'perfection' that does not even actually exist.
That means it's just a control feature from the Execs and the business-side of things and really has nothing to do with performance.
It's SO STUPID, just as bad as the impossible standards that any model in the West is held to. They end up with eating disorders and plastic surgery just to try to stay inside that impossible zone for as long as they can. They kill themselves to be 'pretty'. SO GODDAMNED DUMB.
Regarding Soyeon, (1) Yes, she is Akali from K/DA on Popstars, Baddest, and More... I also actually fell down into the K-Pop rabbit hole after seeing her in K/DA's live performance. (2) She's written MOST of (G)I-DLE's discography, but Minnie and Yuqi are also producing/composing now. Minnie's written, I think, 8 songs, and Yuqi's written, I think, 5 songs and essentially translated the Chinese versions of a couple songs. Neverland is very proud to boast the (G)I-DLE Producer Line.
I absolutely love Soyeon. If you were to follow her story in Produce 101 and Unpretty Rapstar, to the debut of (G)I-DLE, you could see why she's so well-loved and respected by her fans and members. As a teenager, fans said she wasn't pretty enough to be an idol, and yet she worked really hard and found success. When Cube didn't have a debut song for them, Soyeon rolled up her sleeves and wrote "Latata." Her members always sing her praises about how she writes things with their voices in mind, and they always note how hard-working she is. Often times, when we see the members in behind the scenes, we don't see Soyeon because she is presumably working on something for the group or attending to something on their behalf.
We stan a talented and hard-working leader!
Unfortunately, Soojin's contract was terminated over unproven allegations of bullying. She denied. She deserves better. Hope she is vindicated and can move forward 🙏 . Please see their magnificent Queendom performances.

The only things that were certain, were the things she admitted herself (Try to smoke and try to drink) but that's the only things that are proven even nowadays
It's not because you need attention or need to let out your anger/hate that you should do it, thinking before speaking is just common sense you know ?

Your remedy for unproven accusations is to bully her on social media. None of it really matters to people who want to forever punish adults for things that may or may not have happened when they were 12 years old.

Yuqi is an absolute variety show star! I recently binged all of her learn way episodes and she always makes sure to include everybody and creates a fun and relaxed atmosphere. I highly recommend checking some of these out! She has also been on a chinese show and is good friends with her co-stars Lucas(nct) and Jackson(got7)

yes unfortuanately, Soojin has been removed from the group and now it has been official that theres 5 members, Soojin was really special now we all should wish the best for her. Recently, (g)idle has had their first comeback after this announcement called 'TOMBOY' it's great to see the group doing so well still, i hope you continue to support them throughout the future too!
Some things to know before going deep into (G)I-DLE
Soyeon created Latata because CUBE Entertainment couldn't give them a debut song, she was 19 yo at that time (almost 20) but it was just the starting of our journey !
She then created and (co)produced almost every single song, every song used as a main song is Soyeon's creation
As for today, counting their next comeback (I Never Die), there is only one song where Soyeon didn't took part in any kind of way and it's Polaroid created and (co)produced by Yuqi
Soyeon is always involved at least in the lyrics because she can't rap a line/verse that she didn't herself wrote
- Because she think rappers should write their stuff
- And also because she want to express her feeling though her writting
All of (G)I-DLE members have somehow unique voices, Soyeon wasn't ok with the other members voice coaches because they wanted them to be generic for the K-POP industry (if I understood correctly), but she thought that their atypical voices would be the group' strength.
Nowaday we have a producer line, Soyeon (ofc), Minnie and then Yuqi
Minnie wanted to produce song as well, so she come out with "Blow your mind" she created alongside with Soyeon, she then created other song (Moon,Dahlia etc...)
Yuqi then join in the producer line too, with the co-created/produced (alongside Minnie) song "I'm the Trend" which is seen as Nevies anthem. Neverland being the fandom name of (G)I-DLE
We now have 3 capable producer, that can fire in the future and we saw it threw the album "I never die"
Yuqi did her solo debut on 2021 with "Giant" and "Bonnie and Clyde", she also used to be in "Learn Way: Season 1" also known as "Learn Wave" during 2020
Her solo debut show how deep and attractful her voice is, I highly recommend listening to it
Minnie started her actress career with "So not worth it" in 2021 aswell which is a Netflix serie
She also had a lot of model shoot during this year
Unfortunetly Soojin got caught in a bully affair being accused by an actress which lead her to not being active from February 2021 to August 2021, then leaving (G)I-DLE but staying with Cube from "August 2021"
After bringing the police to the table and juridic case, it was difficult to prove whether the actress lied or not or whether Soojin was a bully or not since the event occured 10-12 years ago... Which lead to Cube breaking up her contract few weeks ago
(I will not take position on this, I'm only LARGELY summarizing)
"Hwaa" was released January 11 2021 and seens that date we didn't had comeback (I don't count "Last dance" since it's a promotional song for "Universe") and every member took a break and focused more on solo stuff. Foreign line (Minnie, Yuqi and Shuhua) going back in their country
I will not come across everything they have done during 2021/early 2022 but it's mind blowing
But they are slaying hard on this comeback and I hope everyone will show them support and love for all the harsh time they've been threw during 2021 (and since there debut)
Fellow nevies just remember that opening fan war isn't necessarily, (G)I-DLE was always seen as black swan but in the end they always come up with good stuff
We know what they are made of, and we just need to put our hands and mind to support them, our Queens !

All of their song are must listens, both titles, b-side and cover songs.
Not all song are made by Soyeon but most of the b-sides and all of their title track are. Both Minnie and Yugi have also written and composed a few song by now. Only their first mini album contains some song not written by the members. Though Soyeon always write her own rap.
Miyeon and Soyeon are both on 3 KDA tracks, Popstars, The Baddest and More.
Soyeon is the only one that voiced Akali, while the other kda member have been switched around for b-side, so she is officially Akali.
If you want to know more about them as a group and the members, youtuber lovinsoojin have made a very long and very good video on them call The rise of (G)I-dle.
And all their Queendom stages are must watchs as well.
Soyeon and Miyeon was also what got me into kpop but Soojin is what made me stay. The whole Soojin case is extremely sad both for fans and the members. But they are fighting and staying strong. Just hoping for some miracle in the future so Soojin can rejoin (if she wants to).

Trust me I support and respect all members and I know how much work Soyeon does for the group.
I just said she didn't make all song, since the guide said she did, because it would be factually wrong and discredit the other members. I made was the first mini album were all song where written and composed my Soyeon and Minnie hench the name. But on I am there is a few song made by others.
So she almost made their entire discography but not completely.

When I said I am had songs written by others I mean other people entirely not other members. Like Maze where Soyeon did write her rap but not the rest of the song.
I can change my wording but it doesn't change the fact that not all song are made by Soyeon. I like her don't think I'm a hater but facts are facts. Soyeon is the reason I-dle is who they are fact, Soyeon is a genius fact and the other members are just as important and contribute to the group and their sound fact.

They are fun. They love each so much.
G-idle are my faves 💜 you should definitely check out their variety shows and behind the scenes, they bring so much chaotic energy and they all genuinely love each other like family. Their most recent comeback "Tomboy" was a big moment for them since Soojin was no longer with the group and Soyeon said this was G-idle's "last chance" to make an impression with only 5 members. I still def miss Soojin but I'm so happy to see they're back after over a year since their last comeback!

Oh, the good old times of SooShu and Miyeon third wheeling xD For real tho, if MoonSun is the married couple, SooShu is the softest imo, they on the same level where u start to think "is this still fanservice?" ;D I hope Shushu is doing good these days..
Random but good things to watch: Yuqi on this program where they showed the red carpet, especially the episodes where she's teaching chinese to Mijoo, it was hilarious :D
My favorite non-performance (G)I-DLE videos are the ones of Miyeon and Minnie. They seem to have a special bond, and are extremely goofy together. They call themselves The Puppy Sisters. I have never seen a group have more fun together than (G)I-DLE, and Miyeon manages to make herself the center of attention.

You get a lot of background on them and they are chaotic and funny as always.
If you want to be ready for K-pop flex they will probably do a set of Latata, Oh my God, Hwaa, Dumdi Dumdi, Tomboy and My Bag, as these formations were already changed to a five member choreo. So check out the MV's or the dance practive videos for that. For My Bag check out their showcase.
And yes, unfortunately Soojin got kicked out of the group last August. :/

Miyeon is totally my Favorite. But Yuqi is getting up there for me. Especially this comeback and watching her in countless variety shows over the past year.
It's always mad to see how KDA is the gateway for KPOP for amount of people.
It's mine too: I discovered Popstars in september 2019, then when 'All Out' dropped I wanted to discover (G)I-dle then more and more groups and now I'm going to see them live in less than 2 months. ^^
