Loved seeing the house that Elvis lived in. Especially around the 40th Anniversary of his passing (yesterday). I remember it very well, that day in 1977---I was 20, a very sad day like the day Michael Jackson died. Thank you Jordan, for this vlog.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Soooo many memories! My aunt would talk about the nights she would go watch Elvis in the dive bars that are along what is now known as "The Rock and Roll Highway" in Arkansas when he was very young and still had blonde hair. He even noticed my aunt's red hair and commented on it from the stage!
I have never been an Elvis Presley fan, but this was an awesome vlog! In my opinion, showing all the pictures made it real. Reading the demo notice, that house got saved at the last minute. Despite not being a big fan, I'm glad the house is still there. I really enjoyed this one too. Thanks, Jordan!
I like how the original gate is still there. I'm also surprised at how the house is visible. It always seems like celebrity homes have high fence lines or trees.
@@njuham Who knows how that would have played out. Elvis had his Memphis Mafia guys around and Security, so maybe Manson's zombies would have gotten shot/killed instead🤷♀️
Awesome video! I'm a huge Elvis fan and REALLY appreciated you matching up all the video shots alongside the old photos. Thank you for this special tour!
I love your video's, I am a huge Elvis fan and I finnaly did my bucket list visit to Graceland, it's beautiful, and I love the picture of Elvis in your apartment, and I appreciate your Hollywood videos, your dog is so cute, and I enjoy hanging out with you through your videos, I have seen many of them and they are all perfect, thanks for the awsome outings !
I love Elivs too !! I'm so glad I found this vlog of yours going to Elivs' house in Los Angeles . I always thought Lisa Marie was born in Memphis TN . ? I watched a video the other day and they were talking about when The Sharon Tate's murder happened . Elivs had the gate covered with mental and he ask the fans to not hang out at the gate anymore once he went inside , because it wasn't safe . He told the fans he would sign their autographs and talk to them if they promised to leave once he went inside the house . He was worried about them hanging around at night around his gate after those murdered happened . They said , Sharon Tate's house wasn't that far from where Elivs' house was , so that's why he was concerned . You know that's why I loved him so much is he did care about his fans , unlike a lot of star's today . He was raised to have respect for others and he started out on the bottom . God gave him a talent and he went to the top , but he stayed humble . Don't get me wrong , I loved his music and his movie's too . I'm so glad you shared this !! I love it !!!
I've been on an Elvis kick lately. Thank you, Jordan the Lion! He said the image is 1 thing, the person, another. He did love his fans, didn't think they were a pain in the ass. I heard stories about this house told by sonny west. What a beautiful view!
Nicer looking digs than the Palm Springs house! I'm sure that owning a house on the hills made Elvis feel like he was walking in tall cotton. When you showed the side of his house, all I could think of was mud slides. :( I still miss Elvis.
Only found your channel a few weeks ago. I've got to say you do a brilliant job. Thanks a lot for doing these videos, keep them coming really enjoyed all the Elvis videos I've watched so far Elvis is always TCB
I'm so thankful for your Vlog on Elvis. I love Elvis and I always have loved him, the King of Rock! I will never get to personally see his homestead and property so I THANK YOU, THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Here is what is happening: In about 1970 I had just gotten my drivers license. On the weekends my friends and I would drive through Beverly Hills and look at the stars homes. I would never do such a thing as an adult but I knocked on Barbara Stanwyck's very excessible front door just off Sunset Blvd. as if she were Joe Smo and she answered it herself and talked to me! "You look familiar", I played dumb, and she said, "Yes, well I'm Barbara Stanwyck". (This is off topic and more than I want to get into but years later I read someone broke into her home and beat her! So terrible, but she must have lived in such an open way, not behind iron gates.) Pat Boone came out of his house in shorts and talked to me in front of his street. (Beverly Dr.?) Loved him. Now Elvis Presley iived up a hill in Trousdale Estates near the end of a culdasac. I was not necessarily a big fan of his but he was certainly interesting. The thing that most fascinated my friends and I was all the admirers in front of his front gate clamoring for a breadcrumb as they wrote messages on the bricks.. I lived over the hill in the valley but to this house many times we would come to check more on the people there than Elvis himself! We have now arrived at the good part of my story. And no, I am not lying! So my car couldn't have been at the property very long when Elvis himself came out the front door, dressed all in white just like his Las Vegas costuming of the period(!). And then he started to sing! Maybe as a homage to the fans he knew where always clamoring at the gate? He then quickly got in a limousine (or whatever car it was) and speed down the hill and away! I can not explain in a million years what would possess my group to do this but we ourselves left and came back a while later claiming that we had followed Elvis down to Stephanio"s (Italian) Restaurant on the Sunset Strip where he was now dining. He was not! (Probably) We didn't know where the H he went! But I guess we got what was our objective? All the fans then got into their own cars and raced down the hill themselves. Presumedly to Steph's to see for themselves!
You're the best!!! Always feel like I'm right there with you. I never cared much for Elvis but this vlog was fascinating! 😍😇3 years ago, seems like yesterday!
I loved loved loved Elvis Presley ever since I was 14 years old and I'm 74 now. he was my honey bunny and I would love to see that house I went to Graceland not many years back and I extremely loved visiting Memphis he may have loved living in that house but his heart was at Graceland in Memphis Tennessee. thank you for the video and put Neosporin on that finger
How cool is this? My mom was such a huge fan. I was kid and had no idea what what she saw in Elvis until I grew up and could appreciate the sweeter things in life. What I love about Elvis was how he generous he was too people. That’s truly a beautiful thing to do. Thx for sharing. You Jordan are such a old soul. So young but you love and appreciate such awesome stuff
Because I watched this video last year, I did go to that very spot when we visited LA in September and had some pictures taken of me in the same spots Elvis stood. Never thought to thank you Jordan for getting me to visit there.
Nevermind me, im just binge watching AGAIN. You know how i feel about Elvis Jordan. The pic you showed of Elvis and the impersonator is supposedly the only impersonator Elvis ever met. Great job! Much like Elvis, you're always TCB!
Jordan, you are very right about that house at the end of the cul-de-sac...that is Villa Rosa, an 18,000 square foot mansion built in 1970 by the late comedian Danny Thomas...it stayed in the Thomas family until 2000, when it was sold by his children...in February of this year it was on the market for $135 million but sold for right around $65 million, bought by the brother of the man who recently purchased the Playboy Mansion from Hugh Hefner...the house has a ton of history, Thomas also founded St. Jude's Hospital, and, at one time the home was rented by Julia Roberts and her family...when you are heading up Hillcrest you can see the rear of the house, its spectacular domed section of the house...best time to see it is at night when it is lit up
Falcon Lair , thanks for sharing that information . I didn't know about all of that. I knew Danny Thomas lived near Elvis' house , but didn't know which one it was and I didn't know Julia Roberts lived there at one time . I remember when the big hair was in and I had so many people tell me .... you look just like her . I was in an elevator once with this older lady and I could see her out of the corner of my eye that she was staring at me. Finally , she said... I thought you were Julia Roberts for a minute there . Omg ... you look so much like her . I just laughed and said , yes ma'am I get that a lot . lol !!
Great video, thnks! Big fan for 40 years, from Holland. Visited this place a few months ago . Felt great to be there, close to so much Elvis historie. Also had a short talk to the recent owner.
CooManTunes..... Elvis got a lot of comfort from his religion/spirituality. If you get to Graceland please check out his own personal Bible & you'll see what I mean.
Such a great vlog 😊 and honestly- in quite a few of those pics you could see how much Lisa Marie looks like him. Now I have "suspicious minds " stuck in my mind- but NOT complaining- great music 🎶 👍🏻
From a life long Elvis fan: ME! Thanks so much for this delightful vlog about The King. I appreciate your admiration of Elvis, since these days he has become an object of derision from those who know nothing about him. Hope you get to Graceland one day. You will love it! Thank you for this look at Graceland West!
When Elvis was doing the Comeback Special he was working on the show with my friend's dad who was a Producer. One night he rode his motorcycle from this house on Hillcrest to theirs on Skytop, in Encino, at midnight! He said it was better as that way no one would recognize him. Elvis often rode at night. So they pulled a stunt on the neighbors saying to come over right away! The neighbors about fainted when Elvis answered the door! My friend wishes she had pictures of sitting on Elvis's lap in those days. Ah, well. It was TCB as usual! There is another Producer whose name gets associated with the Comeback Special but my friends dad Alan Blye did all the work and was responsible for shaping many a stars on TV shows, new and established. I sure wish Elvis could have lived without the secret of all those awful prescriptions. He deserved much more. The problem is that no one tells these people, "No!" when it comes down to that. Thanks for taking us to the house Jordan!
Thank God they saved the house !!( ive been by that house many times when i live in Hollywood ,leaving LA in 1995) I read they were gonna try to put it on the registry of historical places ,but because it had been remodeled over the years it didnt qualify..if you watch the movie ELVIS ..starring Kurt Russell they used the house in the movie!!!.. Hey Joran , have you ever been by 7000 SANTA MONICA BLVD ..its the recording studio ELVIS recorded at ! its called RADIO RECORDERS ...his last MOVIE recording session there was for the 1966 soundtrack album SPINOUT ...
the press conference that Elvis quoted the quotes you were mentioning were actually from the press conference he did in NYC in 1972 before he performed at Madison Square Garden, not the press conference he did in 1960 when he returned from the Army
Thank you for sharing this wonderful vlog, from a Canadian Elvis fan from London, Ontario, Canada. I discovered your TH-cam channel recently. Best wishes for every success.
The house at the end of the cul-de-sac was the longtime home of one of the pioneers of television and all-time philanthropists, founder of St. Jude's Children's Cancer Research Hospital, Mr. & Mrs. Danny Thomas. The house being rebuilt across the street was not a re-build, but in fact a new build on a lot that had been forever vacant. How expensive and opulent was the estate when it was completed? Jay-Z & Beyonce, among other wishful buyers were outbid by the successful purchaser ["Minecraft" inventor] around late 2018 for [from memory] $60,000,000.00.

Very cool, and such awesome photos. It would have been a such crime to tear down this amazing time capsule and memory of the King! Thank goodness he had the sense to preserve this one at least. Great location and I love the retro style of the house. I was born '67 and it reminds me of growing up in the 70s.Thanks for these wonderful videos!

I'm 28 I've collected vinyl records since I was a kid I always liked old school music. And one of my first Elvis albums was live from Madison square garden. The versions of suspicious minds, American trilogy and never been to Spain are my favorite. Been an Elvis fan since I was little and my favorite era Elvis is also 68 through the 70s. And growing up it wasn't cool to be an Elvis fan or listen to old music I was born in 90s and im stuck in 70s.lol

Elvis was in STAY AWAY JOE with Burgess Meredith playing his father, i enjoyed watching it. There will never be another Elvis, he is/ was one of a kind, an awesome person and so talented. Thank you always for sharing your videos Jordan.👍
I appreciated that you matched-up the photos with the actual part of the gate, etc. I do that anytime I go where a famous person was or wear a famous event occurred. On another note, waaaay back in 1969, when I was 10, I was on vacation with my aunt & cousins and we went by that very house. My aunt, who was fearless, and an Elvis fanatic, pressed the button on the speaker at the gate. Some woman answered. My aunt asked if Elvis was home, because (she said) we were relatives - she concocted some lie to connect us - very distantly. The woman on the speaker said she "wasn't sure if he was home, she'd go look." (Really?). We waited for 15 or 20 minutes. Finally the lady said "Ma'am, Mr. Presley is not even home today." We all moaned (as did the Japanese tourists who were thinking we found a ploy to get him to come out to the gate and talk with us. We figure in reality, he was there. She probably always said upfront he wasn't home, but since she was afraid she might be turning away family, she went to see if he expected relatives. We further imagine he peeped out a window and said "Ah, hell, I don't know those people. Tell 'em I'm not here, maybe they'll go away." Lol. You can't do stuff like that today. We would have all been hauled-off to jail in today's world. Stars are too scared, and I don't blame them. I wouldn't want anything to do with fame or celebrity. I just want the money and lifestyle. But what an exciting few minutes for us thinking we'd see him.
Love Elvis! I believe Zsa Zsa Gabor bought one of Elvis’ homes in LA. The house has been a filming location for several movies. Since Zsa Zsa’s recent death, I think the home will be torn down. It was sold several years ago, but Zsa Zsa was permitted to remain there until her death. You should do a video of it before they destroy it.
Jordan, I missed this video six years ago, but am watching now. Thanks for the info about the Hard Rock Cafe guy. I don't think I will ever frequent any of his restaurants again. It's amazing you were able to see this house.
I'm an Elvis fan and have seen most of his movies and have listened to most of his songs! I actually saw a concert featuring an Elvis impersonator! Very cool show! Great vlog!
He was the most beautiful man. His spirit shined in his face. He always did good for everyone and his voice is the most beautiful male voice ever. If I haven't heard him sing in, say a year, and then he comes on the radio, I remember why his voice is the best voice. He gave so much to the world. Thank you for sharing this. I didn't know about this house and seeing all the photos of him standing where you are standing is awesome.
Sandi Miller took a large portion of the photos. She’s on FB. Also the ‘Elvis impersonator’ is Johnny Elvis Foster who knew him and took karate classes with Elvis. He’s also on Facebook, really nice guy. I know you won’t remember but I met you at the ‘Do Jo’ in August. Thanks for being so nice. We were blessed to have dinner at Marlowe’s with Billy and Jo Smith that same night. Take care Jordan 😊

Heavy Metal Vixxen , I agree !! I sure hope he doesn't tear it down . Elivs fans would be so devastated if he did tear it down . Loved seeing the house that Elvis lived in. Especially around the 40th Anniversary of his passing (yesterday). I remember it very well, that day in 1977---I was 20, a very sad day like the day Michael Jackson died. Thank you Jordan, for this vlog.
Awesome job. Huge Elvis fan and I agree, that was his best era.
Thank you! Thank you!
VERY DIFFERENT BACK THEN LESS CREEPS TRYING TO BREAK IN
@@joeyhoward1099 Good thing the Manson family didn't plan to visit Elvis.
@@njuham Who knows how that would have played out. Elvis had his Memphis Mafia guys around and Security, so maybe Manson's zombies would have gotten shot/killed instead🤷♀️
Not all
I have been an elvis fan since, 1966 i ABSOLUTELY love your passion, for Elvis, i can hear it in your voice! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Bonnie, Lisa was indeed born in Memphis at Baptist Hospital.
how old was priscilla when she first got with elvis?

Jordan,
You never disappoint. Can it be possible for each blog to be better than the last, I don't know. Sure enjoyed this. Thank you.
Thank you so much for doing this Elvis home. I really appreciate it and YES, Elvis was the coolest dude ever!
Jordan thank you so much for doing this vlog!!!!! No one was cooler than the King 👑
I was 12 when Elvis died. I cried for days!!!! Thank you for putting this up!!!
I was also 12 and cried my eyes out! I’ll never forget it.
I appreciate your time and effort in this vlogs!
I love how you show pictures and show the spot where he stood!
This has to be one of my favorite vlogs! I love Elvis! Awesome views! Any luck with the shoes?
Jude's Hospital, and, at one time the home was rented by Julia Roberts and her family...when you are heading up Hillcrest you can see the rear of the house, its spectacular domed section of the house...best time to see it is at night when it is lit up
if elvis bought the house how did the thomas family own it until 2000
im not talking about the Elvis house, im talking about the house next door at 1185 that Jordan was wondering about
check the house at the 15 minute mark in the video, that's the one that was owned by the Thomas family I was speaking of
Falcon Lair , thanks for sharing that information . I just laughed and said , yes ma'am I get that a lot . lol !!
I remember my dad taking me to see both houses. He’s always worked on houses in that area and was the best tour guide
Thank you for showing us his west coast 'Graceland'. There will never be anyone like Elvis. Love your vlogs.
Great video, thnks! Big fan for 40 years, from Holland. Visited this place a few months ago . Felt great to be there, close to so much Elvis historie. Also had a short talk to the recent owner.
I want to say thank you again you're the best for sharing all these things about Elvis thank you for my heart
Thank you for the pictures in your blog, Im more of a visual person so I love it when its illustrated with pics. great blog!
My favorite quote of all time is from Elvis: "There's only one King. That's our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ."
Religion was only one of his illnesses that got worse over time. Elvis is the King.
CooManTunes..... Elvis got a lot of comfort from his religion/spirituality. If you get to Graceland please check out his own personal Bible & you'll see what I mean.
There's always one that can't handle the mention of the name Jesus without insulting people of faith. Shameful.
Elvis Was Jewish..
Thanks for sharing that Peggy... I never knew that.
Like there are places that fans would go to and literally bawl in tears. So not stupid at all to be happy. Glad to hear about your hand
Heavy Metal Vixxenl
Such a great vlog 😊 and honestly- in quite a few of those pics you could see how much Lisa Marie looks like him. Now I have "suspicious minds " stuck in my mind- but NOT complaining- great music 🎶 👍🏻
From a life long Elvis fan: ME! Thanks so much for this delightful vlog about The King. I appreciate your admiration of Elvis, since these days he has become an object of derision from those who know nothing about him. Hope you get to Graceland one day. You will love it! Thank you for this look at Graceland West!
I loved the vlog today and you adding in the pictures made it that much more special. Your vlogs have become my morning obsession.
Thanks for sharing this! I've visited Grace Land several times and simply loved it.
Can you show me Berry Gordy's 1st house or Diana Ross's 1st House?
I love these great photos of the king.Elvis loved his fans and we loved him in return,I will never forget the king.Everytime I feel down I just listen to Elvis and I feel great!
+Carmen Vallone he definitely did
Very cool, and such awesome photos. It would have been a such crime to tear down this amazing time capsule and memory of the King! Thank goodness he had the sense to preserve this one at least. Great location and I love the retro style of the house. I was born '67 and it reminds me of growing up in the 70s.Thanks for these wonderful videos!
Love Elvis, great vlog.
I grew up in southern California and watching your vlogs I can see I missed so much! I now live currently live near HWY 51 that turns into Elvis Presley BLVD and I go to Graceland twice a year at least to take part of the Elvis weeks in Jan. and August. Such a cool vlog thank you for sharing this !
I have loved all your vlogs so far and this one is no exception. Very informative and up to your very high standards. Keep up the GREAT work!
Watching in 2022, how did I miss this one. Loved it, it is always a thrill to stand where someone you admire once stood. Loved you going to Ross's, I go everytime i visit the US from Australia. Bargain !!! Thanks Jordan.
Great video. I never knew Elvis owned this house. I love the old photo comparison, you can almost feel him standing there.
Great vlog. Not a huge Elvis fan but you have to respect who he was. It's great to see how nice he was with his fans.
My favorite Elvis is the concert via satellite from Hawaii in '72. I was 5 years old and watched it with my mom. It was awsome.
You were so excited! It was really cool that you got to see Elvis house and all the awesome photos you put up. He was so handsome, and his voice like no other! The helicopter circling in the sky, I live in OC & they seem to do that in my neighborhood every other day!!! Great vlog, Jordan, Thank You!!! 🌼
WOW!!!! Love this vlog!!!! Love Elvis!!
WOW nice video brings back good memories of the KIng.This is huge for Elvis Fans like myself.
It's your fault, Jordan. I had to pause this so I could go look at some Elvis footage of Suspicious Minds. Good God, man! He was...incredible! There will _never_ be another like him. Awesome vlog today, Jordan. Thank you! btw, 7: 34 Isn't that Bruce Lee?
I just found your videos, and I get just as excited as you. These are just great!!
Melynda Burke I wonder why they are tearing it down? I remember a nice pool and it seemed lovely in pictures.
Good, Good video! Thank you for doing it.
Dude... you just keep living my alternative life! Lol... love this!!
Jordan, I missed this video six years ago, but am watching now. Thanks for the info about the Hard Rock Cafe guy. I don't think I will ever frequent any of his restaurants again. It's amazing you were able to see this house.
AWESOME AWESOME VIDEO THANK YOU SOOOOOOOOOO MUCH FOR POSTING.
Love Elvis..and the vlog!! Never too many Elvis photos 🙂
I'm an Elvis fan and have seen most of his movies and have listened to most of his songs! I actually saw a concert featuring an Elvis impersonator! Very cool show! Great vlog!
+MoviemaniaNick thanks nick
Jordan that was a great vlog so interesting about Elvis’s place or one of them... like a lot of people I guess we only thought he lived at Graceland as that’s the only one we heard about and saw.
Thanks once again for showing us around plus the interesting info 👍
Awesome!! My wife and I love Elvis! Happy 27 anniversary to your parents! :-D We were watching Roseanne and then last night, Shelley was on Carson from 1984. I was telling my wife the stories you've shared with us of Shelley. :))
jah loves his dad vey much and dad loves jah to so sweet good dad to that baby you are take care
i am so glad that that Hillcrest home didnt get demolished.I was very fortunate to go to this house ,and sign the side gate when i was there .Elvis Presley will always be the King of Rock N Roll .. The big mansion at the end of the road is Danny Thomas's home Danny founded the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis which is one of the hospitals that Elvis donated to every year .
awesome vlog loved it. thank you so much for doing this one. love some Elvis
I was not a big Elvis fan until I went to Graceland. Now I’m hooked!
Loved the video Jordan I know it’s an old one but I still enjoyed it very much. Thank you
I fully agree with you the guy that owns the hard rock Cafe.. Man if i was rich like that and could buy properties id buy them and preserve them make an additional business out of it do seasonal tours and the money would go towards the upkeep dafuq is wrong with him that's such a waste very lucky he saved this one though. I mean shit those places mean a lot to fans they are a part of history
Heavy Metal Vixxen exactly, I was just thinking this. This stuff should be preserved!!! He still could have earned money by creating house tours. I dread to think about what other properties he's taken down? Do you know? Xxx
Heavy Metal Vixxen , I agree !! I sure hope he doesn't tear it down . Elivs fans would be so devastated if he did tear it down . I know people give Priscilla a lot of flack , but at least she did save Graceland . I hope that house never gets sold . I shutting to think what it would have looked like if she hadn't taken over and saved Graceland . I have heard that Elvis liked California , but Memphis TN was more like home to him .
That's what ,I was thinking,also.
Dude I totally agree with you, what's wrong with that guy....funny thing is..
He has all that money..
I don't, but if I did..
I would restore all the Propertys of Celiberties I could...
Hello Jordan..I've been a fan for yrs.grew up near Memphis,Tennessee.Thank you so much for showing house n pic's in California 🤗
That was wonderful!!! Wow!! Thank you !!! You Rock!!!
My dog is named Elvis, I picked him from the humane society, he was already named Elvis, his hair is so cool just like Elvis's, he is 12 now, thanks for this vlog it was awesome Jordan and jaw.
I named my german shepherd Presley!
What a terrific video Jordan. Gonna show this to my Mother also, she’ll love it. Thank you!
