I am so proud of you at overcoming your eye issues and continuing to stitch. It is so easy to say "poor me, I can't". I am a 16 or 18 count aida stitcher only, and I love stitching as my stitching is not for a contest. Due to Rheumatoid Arthritis I use a 5 inch Morgan hoop to stitch, and yes I must move the hoop more often but my hands don't get sore and tired by using the 5 inch hoop. Looking forward to viewing more of your flosstubes, and please show your quilting projects when you get your "Stitching Haven" set up.
I just finished watching both of your videos and I am already looking forward to the next one! I love all the projects you are working on or are going to start! I can't wait to see updates! Happy Stitching and Thanks for sharing! 🧵🪡❤️
I enjoyed your video. I was also recently diagnosed with myasthenia gravis and hospitalized for several weeks, so I understand about the visual struggles. My husband bought me a pair of CraftOptics for Christmas. They were spendy, but they have helped tremendously. I still struggle occasionally, but I am again able to stitch on linen. Subscribed and looking forward to your next video.
I love your excitement about stitching. Since my husband passed a year ago, I am still learning to adjust my sails. Thank you for your words of encouragement. See you next time.
My husband passed 6 years ago and it still presents its challenges. I miss him every day but my crafting always makes me feel closer to him and he was always so interested and encouraging
I so enjoyed your video, I love your stitching choices. The bag your niece made is fabulous! Such a great concept and pretty o boot! I love your encouragement for everyone and I echo your words and sentiments as well. Sometimes t doesn’t look like you thought it would…. It is still pretty good. See you next time. God bless.
Hi, I'm really happy to have found your channel, you have a lovely way of delivery. Your sewing room is lovely and you've obviously worked hard. I loved the story about your little doggy and the blanket, of course they deserve the very best of everything, they provide us with so much love, joy and friendship. Take good care and look after yourself ❤️
You are an inspiration. I am almost 71 and been doing needlework since the 70s. Cross stitch since 1981. Lots of changes and choices. I love seeing the young ones making cross stitch the "new fad" but they have so much to learn from us "old timers"! Thank you for sharing not only your cross stitch, etc., but your wisdom. You have much to give!❤
I just found you on Flosstube. I enjoyed your video. Hope all goes well with your eyes. Keep up the good work on your stitching and look forward to see your progress.
Gail shouted you out, so I came and like watching you. Lovely projects and I understand about the pets being our only company. I share my house with four adorable kitties and they are spoiled, much like your puppy. Hugs.
Enjoyed your video. I’m about 2 hours from Hobby House they are amazing there. When I go it’s expensive LOL. I also quilt and could use waaay more space. I envy your room.
I have macular edema in both eyes AND now dealing wiht catracts so things, black and white charts especially, get out of focus or are just too blurry to see. Like you I refuse to give up on my cross stitch! I do other things like card making or watching flosstube when I'm not able to stitch. Your flosstube #2 is my first of your videos and I am now a subscriber. I love seeing all your projects and am dumbfounded that you are attempting a couple of Mirabilia charts. I have one a bought decades ago (in my twenties or early thirties) and found it too challemging for me to start. I may have to locate it and attempt it again, in my sixties just because you have inspired me to not give up!
Hello. It is nice to meet you. Another flosstuber told me about you. I look forward to getting to know you. Your craft room looks very nice. I enjoyed seeing your Wips. I switch to different fabrics also. Have a great week. I need to go watch your first flosstube video. The patterns that d not work in pattern keeper people have said work in goodreads. Goodreads i believe is free.
Your craft room looks great! I thought you were in a retail store at first! I have been struggling with my eyes since my third bout with covid. Lucky you to live so close to Hobby House. I have never heard of Diamant threads… will have to check them out. Look forward to seeing your progress on Amelia’s Bird. Great fabric score! 28 ct might be easier to see.
You are the first Flosstube I’ve subscribed to and I am enjoying hearing about your projects a lot. I grew up in Rochester and drive through Shortsville when I fly into ROC and drive to my mother’s house in Penn Yan. Small world, isn’t it? Of course, I sometimes detour to Hobby House on the way. 😉🤫 😁 Looking forward to your next video. Take care and stay warm!
So nice to meet you. We have a lot in common you and I. I am a multi crafter as well (quilting. Cross stitch, embroidery, knitting, spinning, scrap booking). I mainly stitch and quilt recently though. I always have socks on the needles for an on the go project. My eyes are starting to have an issue with 40 count, my favourite, but I can still do it if I go slow and have a magnifying light. I love all your projects and always enjoy seeing peoples crafting spaces. Thanks for doing these videos.
@@Grandmananastitches i haven’t gone to any retreats yet. I live in Ontario Canada so we don’t have the big assortment that the US has. One day I hope to get to Primitive Gatherings!
Good video and LOVE your craft room and all your projects! Yes you can I always tell myself that too. I'm 71, retired and have the time to sit and stitch however long I want which makes me happy. Looking forward to your next video. Take care and hope your fur baby is doing okay ♥
I’m getting caught up. Two watched! Love your positivity. I felt my life was over last year when I broke the bones in my ankle and couldn’t walk. Simple walking was not happening. I had to muster up all that you said and make it happen and I did! So very glad there is medicine for you to take for your eyes! Love Winter Whites, gorgeous. I think your blue Sulky threads will be beautiful on the white fabric for the other pattern. (Can’t remember the name) I wouldn’t change that. Also I saw your little dog walk by in the mirror. So cute! I have a Shih Tzu named Charlie and I love him!
I really like that Lizzie Kate sampler pattern. Those project bags will be so nice. Quite the haul. Perforated paper is not bad to stitch on. I've done a few. Enjoy all your stitching.
Just found your channel and subscribed. I love your Elephants on Parade, great idea for a baby birth sampler! You have some great projects and plans. Thank you for sharing your stitching with us. Getting older does present its challenges but you are right, we just have to push through and try to continue to do the things we love...thanks for the reminder.
2020 I spent the whole winter in Sebastian on the east coast with my Niece. It was a great time and since we were both crafters it worked out well. A great time was had by all LOL
Im enjoying your videos. I noticed when you held up the Mirabila in this and the first video, you smile big every time. You must really love it. I love Santa projects, looking forward to your progress. Thanks for sharing and inspiring! Hope your dog does well at the appt. Happy Stitching.
Oh my gosh, I’m in Missouri near St Louis and this summer and fall has been a terrible time for stink bugs! I just had my deck screened in this spring and that has helped some but every time I let the dog in or out they follow! Terrible little creatures!
Great video ! Love all your projects. The Elephant parade is coming along great ! I’m going to be trying 32 count fabric a friend gave me, just some scraps to try it! I made the perforated paper sleds and they were fun. Helen D on Flosstube has a great tutorial on finishing them when you’re ready ! Have a good week stitching! Until the next video. Love your project bags , I agree I need to just make some myself, lord knows I have enough fabric and batting to make them. I’m also a fellow Quilter !🥰
I have enjoyed your first video and now your second. My mother was diagnosed with Myasthenia Gravis about 13 years ago. She used to have to tape her eyelids open in the daytime because they wouldn't stay opened . She has overcome many of the effects of it when she was put on the right meds. I am so glad your still stitching and are doing well even though you have a few effects from the disease. Your stitching is beautiful and you have some great projects going.
Thank you for the words of encouragement - you are such a sweetheart! I hope to see a lot more of you! In the meantime, I will “adjust my sails” - which after seeing your post last time, I had to immediately go out and buy! 💕
Love your videos! I would suggest you get a ring light if you don’t have one it will help with the lighting on videos. I just got my daughter one and she loves it.
I hope your doggie is doing well and vet appointment helped x It’s such a worry when our furry friends aren’t well! I have just started Mary Amelia’s Bird in Roxy floss conversion and it is absolutely gorgeous 😍😍 so if you’re taking votes, I’d vote that to be the first start because you will love it 😁 Thank you for showing so many beautiful charts, I found many I love and would love to stitch. Have a lovely week and happy stitching 🌸
