That must have been tough not knowing what to expect. Glad to hear your rooms weren't flooded...that's a beautiful complex there. I hope the boardwalk didn't get it too bad. I heard Point Pleasant lost part of theirs as well. Thank you for posting...glad you are all safe :)
Glad to see that your complex didn't suffer too much damage. Could have been much worse. Hope they get the boardwalk up and running soon. We were looking forward to coming down there on New Years Eve for the fireworks but I think we will have to pass this year. Glad your condo is still there and you and your wife are safe. Thanks for taking some video for us to see. Take care......
It looks like Ocean Terrace is structurally sound. Glad you only had one flooded basement instead of all! Hopefully you'll be allowed back soon to take care of everything else.
Originally fro S.T.R and am devastated by the scope of the damage.|My first thoughts were for those cats. On my next visit up there (if I can access S.P.) I am going to stop by your complex and shake your hand for helping them. May God bless you for your help!! My family used your motel right after you built it-before you went condo. I hope our old rental home on O street faired as well as you guys did.
thank you tim. right now we are without electric , gas , or water, a small amount of damage, siding blew off, that type of thing. for now its winterize the water lines and wait till, we can return and enjoy ocean terrace again. good news is we may get gas by the end of december. thanks again.
My heart breaks watching these videos of our seaside , I'm so glad ur place didn't have extensive damage , if there is anything I can do please feel free to ask , I'm crocheting hats and scarfs and washcloths and soap savers to bring down for families who have lost everything , least I can do ,, good luck to you sir
I saw an ariel photo of seaside before and after on the news.... and when I saw your buildings ON THE NEWS it was realy the only thing standing correctly near the shore...
I'm reading online that the change for no access tomorrow is due to 22+ sink holes being found in seaside heights & ortley beach including on roads, some up to 8 feet deep. The DOT made the call that it was unsafe to be on any of the roads in Seaside Park. (all second hand info taken from facebook & twitter entries)
as of now, they will not let anyone in for 6 to 8 months. not even me. after we get back, we have months of work ahead of us. keep watching them videos. time for a road trip to atlantic city.
Can you please give me the actual web address. I am having trouble finding it. I have wanted to help with the cats but didn't know how. I am glad to know how now and I am very glad some one is feeding those guys. I was worried about them.
A ton of the boardwalk businesses are on facebook. I never used facebook that much & have just found them on there. The Berkley Candy Shop is going to move until power is restored. Their shop is fine. Midway Steaks says their building is fine. Lucky Leo's says they're fine & will reopen when they are allowed. It would be interesting to see how much of the beach has eroded. I hope there's enough beach left. From what I've seen online, north of the Casino Pier isn't good.
were you able to check on the boardwalk cats at all? i hope they all survived the storm! and i'm so glad you adopted Webster so he didn't have to suffer through sandy. i'm willing to donate anything that is needed for them if someone will be able to bring it to the cats. i feel so bad, now they don't have a home :(
no one is aloud in town, or on the boardwalk. i have one person feeding them. she works for seaside heights. to make a donation, check out our web page at seaside heights animal welfare group. S S H A W G. thanks.
Excellent video! Glad to see your building survived.

Is your building brick all the way to the top? That brick foundation on the bottom is terrific for storms.
