Thanks so much for this Sabrina, I've been trying to work on a personal statement for classics for ages!

thank you so much for this! i'm an american student and as such i don't have a whole lot of resources at my school for this type of thing, nor many teachers with much, if any, experience. this video has been an immense help for getting my thoughts together re: The Personal Statement (although i'm applying fall of next year, lol) so it's much appreciated. have a lovely day xx

Thanks for this! What A-Levels did you do btw? What did you mention when discussing your future + future desires/goals with Classics?

Hey I'm glad you found this video useful! I did Latin, History and Classical Civilisation A-level, and to answer your other question...to be honest I was quite vague: I think I wrote something about looking forward to the opportunity of learning about lots of new things and being excited to see where Classics will take itself in the future!

I’m doing work experience at a local Roman Villa in their museum - would this be classed as extra or super curricular?

hi! this is such a useful video, thank you. can i ask what you wrote about mary beard's confrotning the classics? i've just finished it and loved it, but am finding it really difficult to analyse since it's essentially a big collection of book reviews.

Do you think I have to include extra-curriculum in my ps? Does it work to ask my teachers to mention it in the references only?

I think it still might be worth mentioning 1 or 2 extra-curricular things in the actual personal statement itself, just to give the impression straight away of you having balance in your life (but that's just me personally!); but I'm sure if you only wanted to include them in the teacher reference you could do that too!
