Technically not a bug, some games do this normally to work around other constraints. In a text based engine I coded for example, every event is also technically a room.

So I used the family computer to play this game, and one night during the weekend my whole family went to bed and I stayed in the living room to keep playing Undertale because it was so fun. Almost all of the lights were off in the house and it was around midnight, but I wanted to see what happened next. I was near the end of the game, and I was having a great time with it. I love how at 7:14 you can faintly hear His Theme playing, which is a super nice touch. You can hear something trying to break out from its shell, something innocent, something kind. But it can’t. Now is not the time.
To y Fox has such a great understanding of leitmotifs and reusing melodies. They made sense and added even more meaning to the characters and their fights.

Inky Jonin my sister and I played it together and she did this boss fight and didn’t die, but then I started my own run and I’m still on the fight, it was late at night and since I’m garbage at the game I’ve died multiple times, and I was terrified once I saw those “HAHAHAHAHA”s and it closed the game.

I think Kris's soul has only one file, but their determination was augmented to an extraordinary extent by something, so they are much more powerful now, but also not in full control of themselves.
I love the way this fight is structured. After Asgore's shocking death, Flowey absorbes the human souls to become a being with near-godlike power. He then abuses this power by taking control of your save file, completely wiping it from existence. Then, he transforms into this monstrously hideous and terrifying combination of plant life and machinery. The first part of the Omega Flowey battle does an amazing job at making you feel frightened and utterly POWERLESS. You are at the mercy of this wretched little flower that tried to kill you at the beginning of the game. Shurikens, lasers, grenades, thorned-vines, machine guns, it dosen't matter what. Flowey will excersise every means of killing you and tormenting you he can. You have just a few moments of breathing time in-between fighting the human souls, only to be thrown back into Flowey's hell-hole. But then, when all seems lost, the tables turn. The souls, now freed of their containment, aid you by healing your health bar to max. Without the power of the souls, Flowey's near-godlike status becomes greatly reduced. The FIGHT option suddenly appears and you start dealing decent damage to Flowey. But then, Flowey stars throwing everything at you again, fearful for his life, his minor disgruntled pain turning into screams of terror. But just when he seems he's beat... He reloads one of HIS save files, completely restores his HP, and begins killing you rapidly. Surronded by bullets, the player's only hope being to call for help. No one comes. After what seem's like your defeat, the souls manage to escape and wear Flowey down to a beaten and broken version of his former self. But, even after all he's put you through, you can still spare him.

Best song in the game. It’s so beautiful how it starts out chaotic and creepy, almost like trying to break you with how it sounds. This is Flowey’s theme, he is the boss. But as the fight progresses and you are able to take Flowey face on, the music changes, it becomes uplifting and motivational, Flowey isn’t a threat anymore. Now this is your theme, you are the boss
Honestly, it ain't a new idea. Whiteface did it long before Undertale. Nonetheless it goes to show how drastically different the idea can used. It can be used in both RPGs and Horror games.
I feel like people don’t appreciate the Neutral route as much as Pacifist and Genocide. Compared to the final bosses of them, Photoshop Flowey definitely has so much more work put into him.
The thing i like the most about neutral (other than the song, this is amazing, in my opinion better than megalovania and hopes and dreams, fight me) is that you are imperfect, not a good person, but not a maniac, you are normal, you have your qualities, and your mistakes
I will admit to not appreciating this track nearly as much as I should have back in the day. It's honestly fucking genius. Like, the song starts chaotic and spooky and it meshes perfectly with this nightmare mishmash of stock images slapped together in one monstrous collage. But then you get these glimpses of the same exact theme but toned down and done in different but completely unique styles separate from one another; feeling like incomplete halves to a greater piece that have been corrupted by Flowey's influence and their "heart" gutted from the greater picture. But then you collect all 6 souls, and YOUR theme, Frisk's theme, plays. And it is your version of the song with one major difference: It is complete. There are no missing parts, the full thing is there. And it's just such a powerful meta narrative device for the player to say "Not my soul, you ugly bitch" that mixes perfectly in the heel turn of who-is-in-power that the boss fight takes; handing the player the ability to finally fight back and devastate this nuisance who's been pestering you all game.
I’m pretty sure Frisk does not have a theme, but regardless, the motifs in here are - Your Best Friend - His Theme (faintly during Finale) I guess you could argue Determination is Frisk’s theme? I hear no traces of Determination though

Can't forget when my game first "crashed". It was a late night, I wanted to end gaming that day... Also I was a little bit... well.. in a "fuck it" mood. Next day I reopened the game... the intro was... well... kinda different... no problem... and then... it was my worst... I mean best nightmare. It'll haunt me for a long time. Congratulations Toby Fox for creating the most memorable game of all time! It'll be remembered for long decades!
Controversial opinion, Finale is my favorite song in the soundtrack. The triumphant twist on Flowey's main theme as you and the souls win back control of the world is incredible, and I love every second of it. Toby Fox blew it out of the park with Finale (Shocker) and it's just, incredible

I had night terrors as a child. Part of why I love this theme so much is because it's like the sound version of what nightmares feel like. Like, someone GETS it. Toby took a feeling I could never describe with human words and turned it into a sound that captures it perfectly. he GETS it. So much of this game's OST is just "I didn't realize how badly I wanted to communicate this emotion to someone until I heard it converted to literal sound"
Too add onto that, he GETS how to convey hope by the time the Finale theme hits. Especially how all the souls come out all at once in a fit of support coupled with the piano is something you can’t fully describe by words alone.
I swear he'll be back in Deltarune. I can just feel it. Just like in the Matrix, everything can be rebooted, yet still seem similar to the previous incarnation. I would imagine something like that might be occurring.

I think Kris's soul has only one file, but their determination was augmented to an extraordinary extent by something, so they are much more powerful now, but also not in full control of themselves.

It's about drive, its about power, we stay hungry, we devour, put in the work, put in the hour, and take what's ours
I love the way this fight is structured. After Asgore's shocking death, Flowey absorbes the human souls to become a being with near-godlike power. He then abuses this power by taking control of your save file, completely wiping it from existence.
Then, he transforms into this monstrously hideous and terrifying combination of plant life and machinery. The first part of the Omega Flowey battle does an amazing job at making you feel frightened and utterly POWERLESS. You are at the mercy of this wretched little flower that tried to kill you at the beginning of the game.
Shurikens, lasers, grenades, thorned-vines, machine guns, it dosen't matter what. Flowey will excersise every means of killing you and tormenting you he can. You have just a few moments of breathing time in-between fighting the human souls, only to be thrown back into Flowey's hell-hole.
But then, when all seems lost, the tables turn.
The souls, now freed of their containment, aid you by healing your health bar to max. Without the power of the souls, Flowey's near-godlike status becomes greatly reduced. The FIGHT option suddenly appears and you start dealing decent damage to Flowey. But then, Flowey stars throwing everything at you again, fearful for his life, his minor disgruntled pain turning into screams of terror.
But just when he seems he's beat...
He reloads one of HIS save files, completely restores his HP, and begins killing you rapidly. Surronded by bullets, the player's only hope being to call for help.
No one comes.
After what seem's like your defeat, the souls manage to escape and wear Flowey down to a beaten and broken version of his former self.
But, even after all he's put you through, you can still spare him.

I will admit to not appreciating this track nearly as much as I should have back in the day.
It's honestly fucking genius.
Like, the song starts chaotic and spooky and it meshes perfectly with this nightmare mishmash of stock images slapped together in one monstrous collage. But then you get these glimpses of the same exact theme but toned down and done in different but completely unique styles separate from one another; feeling like incomplete halves to a greater piece that have been corrupted by Flowey's influence and their "heart" gutted from the greater picture.
But then you collect all 6 souls, and YOUR theme, Frisk's theme, plays. And it is your version of the song with one major difference: It is complete. There are no missing parts, the full thing is there. And it's just such a powerful meta narrative device for the player to say "Not my soul, you ugly bitch" that mixes perfectly in the heel turn of who-is-in-power that the boss fight takes; handing the player the ability to finally fight back and devastate this nuisance who's been pestering you all game.

Part of why I love this theme so much is because it's like the sound version of what nightmares feel like.
Like, someone GETS it. Toby took a feeling I could never describe with human words and turned it into a sound that captures it perfectly. he GETS it.

*Finale starts playing* YES!!!! Dang it, this song fill me with so much determination, it's really touching somehow. It just seems like Toby Fox made it to be like a "Don't give up... You're in the right path! You WILL do it if you don't give up!"
