I had a 2006 Bronco on my 2010 GMC Serria 6.5 bed. It traveled fine and we had many enjoyable trips. I did find the build quality and materials to be lacking. I kept the camper for years and it held up only because we kept it under cover when not in use. The good thing was i sold it for more than I paid for it.
This is the camp I'm in. The only reason I can imagine to not have a thankless water heater would be an electric only camper. Then again, I also think the 4 inch fart fans should be outlawed as well.

As long as you’re ok being waaaay over on payload, that’s fine, but you are. That’s a fact. No half-ton should have 1700 lbs on it, let alone with even just one person and any other gear.
I really appreciate your reviews and like how you state how campers and trailers compare with other models. I like how you also point out some of the negatives in your reviews as well! For this I will be subscribing and wishing that I lived closer to your dealership!
Love this camper! We have an older pop up camper and the views are fabulous! But this one with the electric Jack's and roof risers are what I really want.
I checked out the Palomino’s at Bish’s SLC before I bought mine. I wound up going to the factory of a different brand because I wanted a pop up slide in truck camper with specific width, length, and height and they built it per my specific dimensions. We travel between SLC, NY, and TX quite often spending 2 months at a time in it….and it is just perfect for my wife and I
Myb2 cents worth, I love a tankless water heater but would like to see them offer an electric one. We never boondock so that would be a great option for us. Like the motion sensing light! Great idea.
I recently purchased a buddy heater that operates on both electric and propane. I think it would be nice to have instant hot water heater that does the same. What do you guys think?
Your caption made me do a double take. "A bathroom and a queen bed". In a pop-up? Wwwhhaaat? But there it is. This could be the perfect rig for the wife and I to boondock in when we go out climbing in the mountains here in Montana. I'm getting up there in age, so having an inside bathroom is very appealing. My parents had a Hi-lo camper that was like 24ft long. I would of loved to of had that for my kids but they sold it and bought a surban instead. theirs was hard sided. I'd think this one would get a bit chilly. I've done the tent camper thing and was chilly many times so for me I'd go with a hard sided one. Still it's cute and still has everything basic you need, a microwave would be nice though.
My parents instead of passing/selling our family trailer down to me and my kids they sold it instead. That what that means! I thought it was pretty self explanatory.

The optimal word is "had" meaning something owned by someone "that" refers to the Hi-low camper in the previous sentences. I have no desire for a tankless hot water heater. I like having that 6 gallons of extra water and we use only electric 99% of the time. My wife and I can take showers back to back on electric and not run out and it's done for free vs burning propane.

Most half tons have between 1100 and 2300lbs payload rating. Subtract driver and passenger weight. Subtract accessories. Subtract cargo inside of camper. It is possible to use this on a half ton, if it has a high rating and the drivers, passengers, and cargo are VERY light. Or you could go rogue and just put airbags on any old halfton, but it's a dice roll if your insurance will cover you in an accident, and you REALLY open yourself up for a lawsuit.
