It sounds to me like Bård likes food just fine, but he doesn't like the time and effort it requires and the fact that it messes up the kitchen. :P They both hold their forks differently, but are those both typical Norwegian ways of holding a fork? I find it fascinating how stuff like that differs from one country to another. Like the hand-switch we do in the US that they don't do in Europe.

I feel like it's just just based on the individual person because I know several males who hold their spoons and forks like a 2 year old, while some people hold their utensils like a pencil.
PseudoChat My understanding is that cutting your food first and then switching the fork to the other hand to eat is a typical US thing. The way Vegard and Bård are doing it here is how it's done in Europe in general, not just here in Norway.
ImproveYourTomorrows here in Germany you always hold the knife in the right hand to cut things and the fork in the left... but I tend to put the fork the the right hand cuz it’s easier for me.
