Carbon emissions are not the same issue as plastic pollution. One is making weather in northern hemisphere more erratic and raising global temperatures in the troposphere and the other is a concern because as it breaks down it ends up in our food chain.
It makes sense companies want to move away from the 1k cc supersport bikes because all though it may seem like the bike community has gotten a lot larger many of the new comers are going towards the lower bikes likes the 300s and 400s to start. the purpose of street bikes as well is for the track and lots of people aren't doing that because they can't afford a track day. The naked bikes too are more comfy and pretty much give you the same performance as a street bike... so why wouldn't these manufacturers make them and steer away from the big cc bikes.
Blah blah blah cram your anti supersport propaganda back where it came from. If you wanna ride a scooter, there are plenty to choose from but I blame you for bikes like this being discontinued and there's a special place in hell for you.

Torn between buying a new R1 this year or an s1000rr. Ive always wanted an R1 but the s1krr has so much more to offer and is much more comfortable for commuting. But nothing has the looks or sound of an R1. Problem is, not spending $30k getting every lil thing on the s1k. Its so easy to justify another $4k on carbon rims when youre already spending $20+k, but also not the wisest for the average joe in this world economy. Guess it cones down to servicing cost. Not tryna pay ducati lvl servicing prices. Also interested to see if they give us a R9M next year and what it will be like. Man, watching your video when you talk about prices, I feel that western countries always had it good and I can't understand how people say it is expensive and how companies can discontinue these beautiful machines. Here in China, let me give you a price breakdown on all the bikes quickly. R1 = $ 40 000 ; BMW S1000rr = $ 38 000 ; CBR 1000 RR-R SP = $45 000; Ducati Superleggera + V4R $ 211000 (211k) ; Suzuki GSXR 1000 (R and RR) $ 56 000; The only motorcycles that makes sense are the Chinese companies or Aprilia / Ducati V2 / V4 (Not the V4s!) We buy motorcycles here and people still buy it in bulk. Sometimes China buys the majority of 'M' and the 'limited' edition packages on bikes and sits in store rooms here waiting to be sold, that is when USA, EU, Africa and other countries start to talk and say "Wow we can't find this or that model and wait 1 year on order."
I personally only want increase in cc due to the technology of the in them. I currently have a R7 but I would love heat grips and cruise control stuff like that on my bike. Yes the Aprilla 660 and some others have that but there aren’t many aprilla shop around me so I’d rather just get a higher cc bike that I can get those on. Some ppl would say that’s minor but I personally would like to have a certified shop within reasonable distance even if that mean increasing in CC. Btw I do not want to leave from super sport to the hyper naked, touring bikes, etc.
I hope it gets one last update before it goes away in Japan/North America...4:14 i see what youre looking at Fastlane lmao...Thangs got some curve to it on that seat dont it🤣🤣
All you have to do is look at Moto GP to see what redesign and motor and tech is coming to Yamaha, they wasn’t keeping up with the other bikes tech and changes. I believe something big is coming since everything trickles down from Moto GP.
They are killing off alot of iconic big motor vehicles. Which is sad. The 8 cylinder, the V10's, and soon the V12's 😢. 1000cc's are going to be a dieing breed soon. I live in New York City. And I remember in the early 2000's, up until 2015. Sport bikes were thriving. Now these days, i see more scooters and 400cc motorcycles on the road. Maybe sport bikes are also getting way too expensive.
Suzuki had to many units they produced back in 2009 so they didn’t produce any in 2010. But it’s going to take some time for the value to go up like most old schools and hand built bikes. Only car most people can’t afford go up in value. Hyper cars and older super cars.
You talk about the check engine light on the nice lady's bike but no mention of the light that came on when you were about to pass the cops. 9:06 no check engine light. 9:08 check engine light on. Hope it isn't anything too serious. But we are seeing the same thing happen to Yamaha snowmobiles too. 2025 is the last year they will be produced. Yamaha stated they were going to be investing in other parts of what they do rather than continue with snowmobiles. Cant say i was surprised, they had the lowest percentage of market share, even with the highest reliability. My guess is the R1 or super sport bikes are in for the same demise. Use the R&D dollars in the marine industry or with off-road products.
Shit better hurry up and snatch one up. Not ready for it but at least I got it sitting and waiting when ready to ride a 1000cc in about 2 or 3 yrs. Yeah I am going to make that move.

Ok my question would be, since the bike is being discontinued, would you start having issues with ordering and getting parts for the bike? And, How expensive now would it be to get worked on?
Ima say this im all for mother nature too, fasho fasho but is restricting companies creativity the way to go? like have yall seen them concept pictures of a city co-existing with nature. @@petermcmickins If supersports put the clip ons behind your kneecaps I'm sure you'd still ride that thing on 200 mile road trips so you can look cool. People who actually use their motorcycles, actual enthusiasts don't call every style of bike except world superbike homologations "crap". You must be like 14 yoa
@@ApexEater i am an enthusiast. My first bike was a ninja 300 that i put 20,000 miles on. That is not a supersport soo u cant say all i care about are supersports. Im not riding to look cool, i ride them because i love them, period. I called ur bike crap because thats just the way i talk u sensitive little man. I didnt mean its crap literally. Go to the gym and get some strength in ur back and them maybe u too can enjoy a supersport before they discontinue them all grandpa.
Glad I got a 2024 R1 when I did. It is my dream bike and my forever bike.
First the “Hell cat” now the “R1” gonna stop wanting specific vehicles soon ….be grinding last couple years to get both but investments come first hopefully not too late for the real fans
The dream will remain a dream of owning this beauty as a 18 year old motorcycle enthusiast sad day to be available!!
When words go up blessings comes down. Always remaining humble to The Most High.🤙🏾
I remember when paper bags were the enemy then we switched to plastic and back again..... so give it time and the r1 will be back in full affect 😊
I have a 2022 Z900, but I had eyes on an R1 in the next few years. It looks like I'm gonna miss my window.
I still think there's time before we'll see a big change in the market! Try to grab you one before they stop producing them in North America 🤘🏾 #FastLaneGang 🏁

Loving it down here 😎🏝🤘🏾 #FastLaneGang 🏁
Best part of the whole video..... Watching D jump on a grom with that shirt 🤣😂
"Keep Up" 😂 I was waiting on someone to comment this 💀🤘🏾 #FastLaneGang 🏁
I never ride at night anymore but this is a dope video❗️
Hey D I actually would argue that R1 prices will go up if it gets discontinued like the R6 value increased. It won’t be an overnight change but it’ll rise slowly over time
Yeah, once it officially gets discontinued in the US (not just in Europe) but until then I think they'll just hold their value better than the other bikes 🤘🏾 #FastLaneGang 🏁
A R1 give away you say? I need that!
Kawi is here to STAY.. zx10r 4 Life !!!
I see you are using a new camera in the garage. Crispy picture
1:00, Nice place to put your plate.. If your wanting to get stopped that is.
Like to see the sport homologation of an r1 with the tech of a tracer gt+ wirh cruise control, the new gen of electronic suspension
Really sad news🥲💔
Anyway loves from Nepal 🇳🇵 BAYYBEE❤️🤙🏻

I just got a gsxr750 today, r1m is my dream liter hopefully I can snag one before they stop
Need to know when the next ride is gotta make one with this warm weather bro
If you've ever owned a crossplane r1 this news is devastating..
hey buddy, love the channel. What's cool is that movie you're talking about, i did computer work for one of the actors in Spring Hill Florida, shout out to Anthony Hernandez the owner of Ride Or Die magazine. The dude hooked me up nicely for a couple computers I set up for him. I'm a hardware technician and fellow rider 2009 Honda CB1000RR. Id love to go on a meet and ride one day.
The Yamaha R1 is my absolute dream bike but for the time being I'm starting to save up to buy my first bike. If I want to buy an R1 in the future how can I do that? Bearing in mind I'm not from the US and those type of bikes are hard to find
You’ll be able to get one from Japan. Knowing that Yamaha makes them in Japan, there factories are their. You can find one, and possibly import one.
They're still be available used. Dont worry. Don't be in a hurry to jump on a big bike. Learn to ride first. First time getting whiskey throttle and a literbike will yeet you to the sun
I wish y’all would do a r1 give away I’d never sell the bike I’d end up giving it to my son when he got older as well and keep it in the family but only in dreams lol
i bought an 08 r1 last week with 16k miles on it, does the 08 version will increase in value in the future or no?
Doubt it, it's probably gonna be the 15-present Gens. I have an 09 R1 tho 🔥🔥
@@JaneyJ229most likely the 2020+ gen. Since there was a pretty massive update in 2020. Prices will decrease with each following gen. Also the 08 isn't a cross plane so that drops it's chances even more. Not to mention the 16k miles
If you want a grom look at the Duke 200. A little bigger so you’d fit a little better in it
Man, watching your video when you talk about prices, I feel that western countries always had it good and I can't understand how people say it is expensive and how companies can discontinue these beautiful machines. Here in China, let me give you a price breakdown on all the bikes quickly. R1 = $ 40 000 ; BMW S1000rr = $ 38 000 ; CBR 1000 RR-R SP = $45 000; Ducati Superleggera + V4R $ 211000 (211k) ; Suzuki GSXR 1000 (R and RR) $ 56 000;
The only motorcycles that makes sense are the Chinese companies or Aprilia / Ducati V2 / V4 (Not the V4s!)
We buy motorcycles here and people still buy it in bulk. Sometimes China buys the majority of 'M' and the 'limited' edition packages on bikes and sits in store rooms here waiting to be sold, that is when USA, EU, Africa and other countries start to talk and say "Wow we can't find this or that model and wait 1 year on order."
I know that reference! "The doors go up, the panties come down!" Tall Guy Car Reviews baby!
Thank you Brother always good advice.... Ducati Nation 😊
Thank you for watching 🤘🏾 #FastLaneGang 🏁
Seems like Ducati is the only brand on that cares about superbikes. Smoking everything in racing and still developing street super sports.
Yes I need a R1
Yes sir! Join the party 🤘🏾 #FastLaneGang 🏁
I hope it gets one last update before it goes away in Japan/North America...4:14 i see what youre looking at Fastlane lmao...Thangs got some curve to it on that seat dont it🤣🤣
Yamaha's fall in Moto GP has killed the R1.
Love your videos brotha. Been watching since you had 10,000 subscribers. Keep going baybeee!!!
All you have to do is look at Moto GP to see what redesign and motor and tech is coming to Yamaha, they wasn’t keeping up with the other bikes tech and changes. I believe something big is coming since everything trickles down from Moto GP.
I hope I can pick up an R1 before they stop selling new ones.
So far it's only Europe. Global sales will continue at least until 2026.
Suzuki had to many units they produced back in 2009 so they didn’t produce any in 2010. But it’s going to take some time for the value to go up like most old schools and hand built bikes. Only car most people can’t afford go up in value. Hyper cars and older super cars.
think about the bikes we are gonna need to outrun a global apocalypse, R1s are Legendary.
wallets go down after doors go up
Technically you're not wrong 😂🤘🏾 #FastLaneGang 🏁
Of course they discontinue it. They have to make room for next year’s 1100 or 1250.
Don’t fall for that clean earth, research the material to make those batteries.
Do's go up... Ho's gown down...BAAYYYBEEEEEE
lol love the TallGuy car reviews reference 😂
Keep that R1 fam
Shit better hurry up and snatch one up. Not ready for it but at least I got it sitting and waiting when ready to ride a 1000cc in about 2 or 3 yrs. Yeah I am going to make that move.
GSXR1000’s and R1’s will still be sold in the US. Just not in Europe and Japan.
They said that about the r6 and they have a new gen in the making
Such a fun night
That helmet is so fire
This is the best bike you have bro!

Hey fast lane from Australia love your content, but I heard the R1 M is only gonna stop being sold in Europe and the UK
I want a 2022 bmw s1000rr i don’t need a 24 the price of a 22 is decent ! I have a 17 gixxer 1000 and its my favorite bike and never getting rid of it and its my track bike so I will street the bmw … come out to Port St. Lucie man !!!!
Mannnn chill off that... Kawi said they wasnt selling anymore Zx14's and yet they still in the dealerships ..it might happen but it will be gradual not a abrupt outcome. KEEP YA DINOSAURS... Im never getting rid of mine... Batcave goin up on my land asap. These green warriors gon have to pry it from me!😂💯‼️
Ok my question would be, since the bike is being discontinued, would you start having issues with ordering and getting parts for the bike? And, How expensive now would it be to get worked on?
The R1's are done in Europe, not the US.
Ima say this im all for mother nature too, fasho fasho but is restricting companies creativity the way to go? like have yall seen them concept pictures of a city co-existing with nature. I think it was in south korea or something. Like ain't that something we should invest more into rather than just stripping everyone of their toys.
wonder if utube would catch on if bikers just cover the 1 when doing triple digits and/or just blur speed limits signs on the roads instead.
Noooooo!!!
i don't see gas bikes going away , specially travelling around the world but may slow down for the new riders they may enjoy electric but for me no way, petro 4 life
Right
Im filming one in t he park
For clearwater
Waiting for the children to stop trashing it and the animals though
Just buy a KTM superduke gen 4 1390! great for fun, i have the 1290 gen 3, and its loads of fun on the street, and fast too, and no back pain and wrist pain, comming from a ZX10R KRT Edition.
