The two-angle videos are also very nice and combined with the product fade-in and fade-outs as you describe them, creates a signature look for your videos. Great job, as always, Mark! Hi Mark. Nice review, I like the different camera views.
I hope that you will still show products other youtubers don't, as you had always done. I like PAA and Sterling, but every other channel has the same reviews. The best thing about your channel has been the variety. From high dollar products, to one dollar products, you showed them all with great enthusiasm. I like seeing the products others never show. You filled a niche in the shaving channel lineup.
Good to see you are well👍👍

My respect, I am 35, I bought my first machine about 8 years ago, before that I used disposable machines. But almost all the time I went with stubble or a long beard)))) Maybe 1 or 2 times a year I shaved my entire face. Last year I regularly shave about 2 times a week and only the last month I really fell in love with wet shaving in a new way. So much so that I bought 2 new stainless steel razors. There has always been only one Muhle R101 and plate R106 head. I just wanted to tell YOU THANK YOU SO MUCH, you improve my experience and my knowledge, you feed my love of shaving and being a gentleman. Thank you for your work for your experience for your efforts in all this!!! I am very much obliged and grateful to you. By the way)))) I was so inspired by all this that I also want to keep a live journal on TH-cam about how I shave)) Although I’m modest and shy, I’ll try, maybe something will work out)

Thanks, made.86 (Dima).:) I appreciate the kind words. So great to hear about your wet shaving journey. IMHO, it really is the best way to shave. When I first created my TH-cam channel, I started off modestly. My videos were only five or six minutes long and mostly of shaving gear. I took it one step at a time and learned little by little. It's an approach that allowed me to slowly warm up to being on camera and, at the same time, learn video editing, etc.

Looked like a great shave mark! :)
I have the Paa starter razor
    And the Vikings blade Emperor
Adjustable my only two and I love the Vikings it's amazing I also tried it with Astra's and like them
Can only do setting 3 and 3 and a half
Even with good growth 4 and higher is too much
But voskhod I think I can go to 4 or higher they feel smoother to me
I also ordered doppelganger grey from Paa the soap and aftershave should be here Tuesday, just got my scuttle yesterday and love it, I picked the qshave bowl over the paa Im sure their both good they look the exact same but I think qshave is breakable but it's nice. :)

Hi, HUNTER123 8BP.:) Thansk, it was a really nice shave.:) I love the Emperor razor.:) The settings I used in this video are really the upper range for me. I used the travel scuttle again this morning. This time, with about two days growth, I used my Vikings Blade Crusader Adjustable razor this morning. About the same settings. I filled the scuttle and put it in the microwave for about 45 seconds (no stopper). Then, showered, etc. Had a REALLY nice warm lather and shave (Stirling Mountain Man, PAA Cube, King C. Gillette blade). Three passes and a BBS result. Typing this a few hours after the shave and still BBS.:)

  • @BartBuzz
    @BartBuzz 4 ปีที่แล้ว

I noticed when you set the Emperor to 5.5 that you had the doors closed. I was informed by Grumpy Old Robert at VB to open the doors and set the adjustment dial to 9 when I inserted my blade. He also said to open the doors before making or changing my adjustment settings and then close them. I have noticed that more times than not the adjustment dial will turn loosely and the blade gap does not appear to change unless I do open the doors first. Have you noticed the same effect? BTW, I have not noticed any curvy blade effects at the blade edges that other users have mentioned.

I need this travel scuttle in my life. I already have a ceramic but its heavy. Does the silicone cork run the risk of pud mm shiny all the way through in to the chamber? When slippery?

    • @MarkSzorady

The cork does its job. I've never thought that it might fall into the inside of the scuttle.

Hi, ThaRedPitbull-Mix. I don't have the porcelain version, so I cannot say. It really depends on whether or not you plan to travel. If you require something for the home, their porcelain scuttle is only a few dollars more.

I just ordered the exact same scuttle and looking really forward to it. It will be my first (and more than likely only) scuttle for a while. I have only been using a beautifully engraved black ivory wood shaving bowl.
I really do hope everything will be included in with it as you have shown. I believe the soap is included as well as the bag.
What is your opinion on the provided soap? I haven't tried any American soaps yet and looking forward to it.

Hi, Rohann Du Toit, I'm very glad to hear you enjoyed the video.:) the soap is terrific!:) It's only a sample but enough to give you several shaves.:) I like the scent.:) I think you'll be pleased with the scuttle. The lightweight design makes it perfect for travel, but also makes it a bit lighter to handle when g=filled with wager. so, don't be surprised when you first handle it. When you fill it with hot water, you'll feel the additional heft and glad that it's so robust, yet lightweight (when empty).:)

@@MarkSzorady Had my first shave with it yesterday and it was wonderful! Of course it was my first shave with a scuttle, so my review excludes comparison.
The package was almost as complete as yours. I only missed out on the "Keep Calm" flyer, the "Do not disturb" door hanger as well as the "Shave Cadet" pin. The soap is wonderful as you mentioned! The scent is extremely familiar, I just can't say where I know it from.
The thank you card mentioned the neoprene cover is included, yet I missed out on is as I saw you did as well.
The bowl area desires a smaller brush under 24mm (still never compared it to a traditional scuttle). The seller did mention a smaller brush is recommended.
