    This was so helpful . I ended up searching out videos to show me all these different parts and did end up setting it up correctly. If I had seen this earlier I could have saved so much time!

      Hey! I'm glad it helped. This was why I created this video. To give others a parts list and show them how to set it all up properly ;) Subscribe as I want to keep putting tutorials like these together. Also check out our fertilizer video as now that you have Co2, your plants are going to be very hungry!

      Thank you so much for the kind words. Check out the other Co2 system builds Ive recorded as it will hammer home the core elements on a Co2 system. It really is as easy as a Co2 tank, regulator and your method of diffusion. Also, check out the Co2 video in our Part 1 playlist. It covers the PH drop method at the 5:45min mark. Basically how much to inject ;) And feel free to ask questions if you've got them!

      Why thank you! Most of the videos I see online don't cover the regulator and its gauges. I really wanted to make sure I got that in there ;)

      @@aquascapeguide yea and i like the comedy also lol. I am i process doing my first planted tank ever lol so your videos help a lot. Coming from reefing, its a bit different.

      Too funny! I set up a reef tank about 6 months ago. There are similarities, but also differences. It's a trip. Make sure to watch the Part 1 playlist. I designed it to be like the 52 weeks of reefing by BRS. If you follow what I call the ASG approach, you'll be successful right out of the gate. And if you do want to follow the ASG approach I have a private FB group where everyone in it also runs the ASG method, so if you have a questions, there are 60+ others to help guide you :) I'm in there as well but it's nice to have backup. Hahaha. Regardless, I'm stocked for you. Planted tanks are so much more forgiving than something like SPS. With the ASG method you can completely turn over your entire plant mass in a few weeks.

    Color tubing is real cool man, for sure but clear is better as you can keep an eye on the line between the check valve and Regulator to make sure there's no water returning past the check valve and Regulator.

    • @aquascapeguide
      @aquascapeguide  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah! Great point. I only had access to black tubing when I started running CO2 MANY years ago, so I've got a ton of that lying around. I think if I need to re-up, I'll get some clear. I don't like seeing the black tubing running around the aquarium as well, so clear would make it less noticeable as well :)

    Great walk through vid! Also good to just note that these ceramic diffusers need to have a good soak before putting them under any pressure.

    • @aquascapeguide
      @aquascapeguide  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      DJ has a point. I always soak my ceramic in tank diffuser, but didn't think to soak this one for some reason. hahaha. Someone could jus install one inline their filters outlet hose, and just let it run for a few days. That chamber does fill up with water and that would be enough. Just delay injecting for a couple of days and you'd be good to go. Just wait to tial in CO2 AFTER the ceramic option of the inline diffuser has soaked ;)

    7:00 Love your videos. You explain things so much better than any other videos I have seen. With that said, I am hoping you know of an inline diffuser that fits the 24mm hose on my FX6 or maybe a way to adapt from a 24mm to a 22mm infuser.

    • @aquascapeguide
      @aquascapeguide  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Carrie, thanks for reaching out and for the kind words! Im glad my videos have been helpful for you. I was researching it for you and there aren't many options. Most people that are using a FX6 have a larger tank and are running an inline reactor that has connections that will fit seamlessly. Google "NilogC Inline Reactor". They are kind of big and clunky, but work amazingly well, are the most efficient means of Co2 diffusion, and have zero "sprite water" from Co2 bubbles. If you have to run an inline atomizer, google "rubber connector for FX canister". This will bring up some connections that MAY work. The run would go, cut hose > connector > diffuser > connector > hose. Last idea but not the least is ditching your ribbed tubing on the FX for vinyl tubing. If you dip the end of a 22mm diameter tubing into some almost boiling water, it will make the tube VERY pliable, and from there you might be able to push it onto the canisters inlet and outlet nipples (giggity). And then that should connect fine to a 22mm diffuser. But my top suggestion would be to look into a reactor. Those things are amazing.

      Hello!
      Thank you for your time in helping out. I got the the rubber adapters that connect FX6 hose to another FX6 hose. I couldn't find one that adapts to a 22 mm. So, could I safely use hose clamps?

    • @aquascapeguide
      @aquascapeguide  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, you might just need to rig up your own little connection type with hose clamps like you're thinking. Again, I think most move to reactors when they have filters this big. Kind of a pain, but maybe there is a product opportunity for someone 24mm reactors ;)

    Hi guys,
    Thanks a lot for all your helpful videos.
    One question for the co2 sistem.
    Can I use a PH controller to keep that 1 point PH drop constant ? I mean, can I run the controller day and night ? Or just during the photosintesis perioad ? I’ve read that during the night plants need oxigen and give out co2, so no need for adițional co2 injection during the night and this is why I’m not sure if a PH controller is suitable for a planted tank.

    • @aquascapeguide
      @aquascapeguide  8 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Thanks for the question! I wouldn't suggest running your Co2 overnight. If your controller has a programmable timer you can have it turned on and off 1 hour before your lights, and or you can plug the controler into a timer. I just just worry that if you ran it day and night, if something were to go wrong at night, you could gas your livestock. Technically your controller "should" prevent Co2 build up at night, but I wouldn't risk it. Plus its just wasting Co2.

    • @aquascapeguide
      @aquascapeguide  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Lol. This is not the first time I've been asked this ;) I use Adobe's Character Animator. It can create the mouth visemes from the audio, but I prefer to put the audio through Adobe Premiere, and get a SRT file to upload with it. The visemes do a much better job with SRT file with it. It takes me about 3-4 hours total to animate Phyl for a 12-15min video. Hope that helps!
