I'm going to wait for the upgrade to raytracing 1.0 in Lumion to take a decision. I'll stand with 12.5 for now. On the other hand, I´m practising with Twinmotion 2023 and Unreal 5.1. I have to take a look to D5 render, I've seen exciting things about this software!
That is not a bad idea! I personally like using Twinmotion and have done some videos on it. But I just download D5 so I plan on doing a video on that soon!
they are comparing a rendered model from the earlier version that doesn't have the right settings on. Notice the shadows and reflections effects aren't optimized, of course it looks a lot better but try comparing a properly rendered image with the shadows, global illumination and reflections properly tweaked, this would be a less bias comparison.

@@thearchitecturegrind in my perspective lumion is still useful for exterior only projects, but D5 is better in both specially interiors. the only thing better in Lumion is the grass, grass in the D5 the optimization is not good at all (i have a 3080), so as long as the project is not huge in terms of vegetation D5 is better option for exteriors, for something else bigger like urban projects i would say lumion.
You can't go wrong with either. Lumion has a better selection of trees and plants, but both are realistic, it just depends on how close they are shown in the render.
lumion just add Ray Tracing but other softw have it since few years... Lumion is good but the development goes slowly... Like one year late on over software
Yes you are correct, Twinmotion also adding path tracing 1-2 years ago. Lumion is also one of the most expensive programs so they need to step it up to make the price point worth it.

No, not a chance! Why? Price, floating windows, confused UI, low quality 3D space to work and that raytrace takes too long to render a preview compared to TM's pathtracer! Twinmotion and D5 render are much more powerful and beautiful!
@@thearchitecturegrind Yeah, indeed! Lumion went from hero to zero by not listening to customers! @@thearchitecturegrind Yes , if you look at the competition like D5 render its not the same method of paying but for $360 a year and you got everything its not bad, and you got Twinmotion that free and you can get or use a bunch of stuff for free from sketchfab and megascan etc etc , so yea pricing is a big reason, Lumion is great software but now there is allot of option out there , my choice for me is neither of them , I will go to Unreal engine and done , if Twinmotion had Lumen and Nanite in the future I will use it more, man I wish Encape come to 3dsmax

I did my last four projects in Twin Motion. Raytracing gives great results. like vray :)

Good observation
Very informative video. I'll definitely go with Lumion 2023
Thank you
I switched to D5 Render about a year ago and haven't used Lumion since. I checked out the new Lumion and it doesn't come close IMO.
interest, i will have 2 check it out. I have heard good things about D5

@@SKYLIMI bruh ai is trash , nice play in it but changing ur whole concept ty but no :)
Without raytracing it would have been impossible to survive. I'm glad you came. excited.
Question, actually about D5, does it have vegetation for landscaping? I have no idea how D5 works
Yes it does! Check out my most recent video for how it compares to other software
i stopped using lumion because of D5, also the office where i used to work, they are switching to D5 cheaper subscription and MUCH better results.
Thank you for the input. I have heard a lot of people preferring D5 recently.

I’m sticking to Lumion 12 for now.
Yeah a lot of people are saying that. What is your reason?
Here another person who switched to d5 from lumion, to be honest d5 is WAY better :(
David what do you like most about it, besides cost?
But who asked?
lumion ... 2023...and...ultra...realistic...textures
haha
Where can I download cracked lumion 2023 I cant pay for this stuff
D5 render and Twinmotion are free and much better than Lumion.
@@gizmonomono You're a man of honor with this level of honesty. Hats off to you sir.
I would agree here!
Yes D5 and Twinmotion are definitely better options if you are looking and pricing and quality.
Make more videos on Lumion 2023 😛

Raytracing cteates a lot of problems , versio 2023 is not worth it , it renders artifacts that are really bad and have so solution.
It still is good but not perfect y
