In which riad did you stay? Hotel looks better than Burj Al Arab to be honest.
I haven't been to Burj Al Arab, but it definitely depends on what type of luxury you are searching for. Royal Mansour is a very sophisticated type of luxury and a slow and posh vibe.
Burj al arab is very tacky in comparison to Royal Mansour. It also is cheaper than Royal Mansour.
Burj Al-Arab is a more ostentatious luxury aimed at more new money, flashy types. TRM is very subtly brilliant and relatively unknown to the types who flock to Dubai.

Hi.according to my experience in tourism.most of travellers say that royal mansour is better
Both are exceptional properties. La Mamounia is more inclusive, larger and a historical property. Royal Mansour was commissioned to be a private luxury establishment catering for the ultra rich, non inclusive, very elegant, and extremely sophisticated.
I wish i could go there with Bangtang Sonyeondan what a dream come true.

Hey there! Well, the king of Morocco, who also commissioned the hotel, he has a great part in deciding some of the architecture. However, it's made from more than 1500 different craftsmen, and hard to say exactly, who had the major responsibility. But for sure is that it's inspired by North Africa, Spain as well as Portugal’s traditional Moorish architecture! Beautiful, right?

I stayed here 3 nights. Not worth the price, food is bad, especially in the restaurants. Pastries aren't even top.
You want Top pastries try the amandine bakery in the city center. Breakfast is quality wise not good. Then the attitude of the people who are working there is really below every level. They act like you be grateful to enter this place.
