Unclucky today I think! It was a mixture of the ref, luck and injuries. However I still think we played very well. There keeper was on top form today, they don’t deserve it, we do!
@@HugoHarrald Agreed - Sean Hutch was unlucky right at the end & you can’t fault the commitment either. That ref should never be allowed another match before undergoing a check for his capability- & impartiality!
I remember Barry Kitchener and Harry Cripps.in fact I met them both when I was a kid, my hero was Keith Weller, he was pure class, as was Alex Stepney, I even remember Harry the Dog, great days I heard Harry the Dog had a sad life and moved down to Essex later in life, I think he was a drinker and he is no longer with us, I also moved from the Walworth road and went to Finchley and I would return back to the Den with my youngest son, who later played for Hendon FC, sadly he is now a Spurs Supporter, and I hate Spurs, what went wrong? I had a mate whose son played for the lions, but I wont name him out of embarrassment but the family lived in Highbury and his son made hundreds of appearances for Millwall after coming through the youth system, I see you are keeping up with the tradition of blaming the Ref, we all did this but in truth they are heroes, I have lots of other stories but I wont bore you, the school I went to had a huge Millwall following and I sat next to Michael Parker [you know him as Barrymore,] the school is still there, St Michaels in Dockhead, come on you Lions!
@@pmoran7971 Saturday’s “ref” genuinely was terrible & genuinely could have let a serious injury happen. I recall all those players too & yes Harry did move there & became an Essex “Del Boy!” Eamon Dunphy (what a player) tells a story or two about that! 😂😂🦁👊🏼
@@Bermondseybites I met Eamon Dunphy in Fleet St, when he was writing his book.Only a game' he came to the Den via York and Man United and cost £10.000, he made a big career commentattng on football in Ireland after he left the Lions, I also met Teddy in Finchley in a sweet shop, we spoke for 15 minutes about him and Cas, the funny thing is the night before he played for England but we never even mentioned it, the only reason I bumped into him was because Spurs trained in Mill Hill back then, did I say I hated Spurs? but my other hate was Crystal Palace
