- We Built a Kayak Duck Blind out of PVC and it turned out amazing!!! I can't wait to use this on the water this fall and nail some ducks in it! It looks great for concealment. I would like to see a video of you paddling it and also getting in and out of the rig with those doors. It certainly does look like you can hide in a wide open marsh. I would like to see how it paddles, because I'm looking to do something similar. Great video.
It is very good for hiding in just about everything. I will for sure make a video for this once the ice is off the water! I will show u how I paddle and getting in with the doors🔥👍🏼
Great idea with the conduit and the heat gun! I'm working on a similar project, putting together a parts list, and now I can save a ton of time and money on pvc for conduit instead. Thanks!

I did that and it worked great!! I don’t think I am able to put the trolling motor on though too heavy!

I’m curious what you used for hinges on the doors. I have a Nucanoe unlimited I’d like to make something similar for. Great job on this!
Sorry for the late response! I used normal hinges and pre drilled into the kayak and used lock nuts on my hinge screws! If you have any more questions please let me know!

Yes, you are able to put your arms on the outside pretty easily which makes it easy to paddle!👍🏼

How did you hinge those doors?
Very innovative! The next step could be a waterproof pop-up style, kayak blind/canopy that you can lower down and set the hook while fishing & has enough head room; that'll keep the rain off of you while also fitting on to the rail system.

How much weight did it add to your kayak?
Have you taken it out yet ? I've been looking to do something similar but im iffy on how it is on the water we have some long paddles
I used it two weeks ago snd I really enjoyed it snd I had ducks 5 ft away from me and didn’t see me at all. If you have a long paddle you will be perfectly fine
