    Good for you. I have to say, I don't think anyone else has done this; if they have, they haven't filmed or photographed what they did.

    Well done. Simple construction, light weight, customized to fit. I'm inspired!

    Excellent. Would have liked some still close ups especially of the attachments to the bike.

    I love this. I have a Catrike Exhibiton and would love to have my dog ride with me. Could you make a video with more detail on how to build this. I know this was made in 2011, but maybe you have improved it since then. How do you attack it to the bike?

    Wow, this is from 2011! I am so glad someone posted a link to this. I did not find it when I was searching for a way to take my big dog along who couldn't run for long trips. Thank you! Did you ever make another video to show more details? Or sell plans? Did it hold up well?

    Great idea. My buddy likes riding in the car with me. He doesn't like staying home alone nor do like leaving home alone. He's not good off leash and doesn't do well running alongside my upright '91 GT Karakoram Elite Mountain bike. A sidecar attached to an incumbent would be great. I'm looking at incumbents now and haven't been able find any information on the Internet about sidecars for incumbents until I found this video. Thanks.

    I like your idea, a lot! But how do you get through trail gates. And when you’re on the road passing parked cars you’re a bit wide. Thank for this idea though. I have three kinds of bike trailers might be able to cover one of them, of maybe cover your trike to Quad.

    I love your sidecar - great idea - and very well made. I want to attach a burley dog trailer to the side of my EZ-3 Sun trike. You've inspired me - I know there must be a way to do it. If you have any suggestions - I would love to hear them. Thanks.

    Too bad you didn't show more of how you attached it to your trike. I have a new ICE Adventure 20 RS. I have a tiny dog so only need a tiny side car, but I love the way yours works. I could also use it to haul stuff if it were large enough.

    Very cool. Well executed. Amazing what you can do with PVC. I made various light bars out of it. From the imagination to reality. Gotta love it.

    That's a awesome idea u came up with bud. I don't own a trike yet, n probably buy the best when I do. I want my taco/pincher mix to come along too. As he loves cruising checkin out hot chicks. lol 🤪
    Do u have any updates on your idea? I was a field mechanic for 18 years n did fabrication n design for USSS on vehicle n support staff. Sure we could get this idea ironin out imho. An I don't believe in stealing another guys idea. If interested let me know. Ty

    This is also great to go get groceries as well, Do yo know if you could also use a twenty inch tire like the ones on the Catrike trail recumbent trikes? Thanks for sharing this is great.

    Wonderful idea. I'm not sure I understand the hinges for connecting to the bike. Is there somewhere else I should look?

    • @markaron1858
      @markaron1858 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can use almost anything to connect it to the bike drilling a hole on the PVC end caps to place a bolt thru. I am planning turning two air hose connectors as a quick attach and release to make it easier to connect and disconnect the sidecar. The trick is to use some kind of home made bracket with felt or something that won't scratch the bike frame.

    • @SuperWhimsy
      @SuperWhimsy 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Mark Aron Thanks, Mark. That sound straight-forward. I was thinking of using jubilee clamps with rubber lining. A bit of a nuisance, but I'd rather the dog didn't go free-range on me :). I assume that's what you meant by hose clamps.

    • @markaron1858
      @markaron1858 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      I wasn't wasn't referring to a hose clamp I met an air hose quick connect check out this link. m.instructables.com/id/Quick-Hitch-for-bike-trailer/

    it has been a while since you did this video how is the sidecar holding up and have you made any improvements on it.

    • @markaron1858
      @markaron1858 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm sorry I haven't provided any youtube updates on my sidecar. I have a new design that is similar. The difference is the connectivity to the trike. I made a quick connect system so that it is much easier to connect to the trike. Because this is a hobby and I work alot I have had little time to create a new video. Within the coming months I will try produce an updated video. Unfortunately 4 months ago my dog baxter has past. I just recently adopted another dog and I am looking forward to taking him on what I will call the Baxter sidecar. This design around the Ice Sprint. I'm sure it could be modified to fit other trikes if your handy.

      Thanks for your response, I am sorry that Baxter passed he looked like a great family member, and that is a great contribute to him in calling the side car The Baxter Side Car , love it. will continue to watch for when you do decide to do another video.Hope your new Family member and you are having fun and traveling well. Thanks again and happy trails and great weather to travel with.🇨🇦👀👍

      @@markaron1858 I know your busy but was wondering if you were able to document your revised design for the Baxter Sidecar? The quick connect to the trike is the crucial detail I think most people are interested in how best to achieve that. The car build is looks pretty straight forward. I am wondering if some type of quick release pipe clamp would work similar to a quick release bike seat.
