Trick for easily moving 2 items ore/stone/wood, spam the pick up key, the held item swaps in and out for the item in front of you. Makes moving 2 items a lot easier. You can do three but the trick is hard.
I spent about an hour playing this and simply not understanding what in the world I was supposed to be doing. this was really helpful and now I think I’ll enjoy the game a lot more!
Advice: Don't dispose of bodies just because of a few (1 or 2) red skulls, you'll have to redo your graveyard a few times anyway, so might as well get those burial certificates anyway. Also, in a little bit you'll be able to cremate your bodies and get one anyway, so if you bury your not-so-good bodies now, and cremate later, you'll get double bruial certificates!
@@Tuulos AFAIK exhuming permissions cost exactly as much as a burial certificate, so it's a net zero loss or gain. Which means it's better to bury bad bodies right away, then replace them with better bodies later while burning the bad bodies. That way you get the money right away, get more later from burying the new bodies, and get back the money you spent on removing the bodies to make room for new ones. Basically you get money for every body, and get money for the bad bodies earlier than if you store them. Now, I don't know if a body will just disappear if you don't bury it, but if it does, you actually can't store it. Might be worth trying just to find out.

A good tip for getting more blue points is to buy the grape pie from Haroderic in the dead horse tavern.Eating it before studying organs doubles the amount of skill points you get. I got over 200 blue points this way which is useful since they hard to get in the beginning of the game.
I know this is old, but I just downloaded the game today and I was having a horrible time trying to figure out what to do or how to make anything. THANK YOU for this video!!!! I don't think I could actually play the game without it lol

Go to sleep before doing it, doesn't matter if your energy is near full, when you sleep ,the game saves, so you can doing things that have low successful chance and if it fail, quit the game, go back in and do it until you got the rank of the stuffs you need -lack of blue points? Go to the philosopher on "moon" day, he'll sold a book that give you 25 points for 5 silvers and 50 for 50 silvers( I know, the latter one is a scam) -vendors doesn't have enough tiers ? Craft the "prayer of prosperity "( the blue one with a house on it) after a successful ceremony, it'll give you a special paper that if you sell it to the vendor, their tier bar will go up(don't need a gold star prayer, cause you just need it roughly 5 times to make every vendors max tier) Don't collect berries, it just a waste of time, you will cost 2-3 energy to get 3-4 berries( each only give 2 energy and you can only carry about 30 or 50 before it need a new slot in you bag), it's better to collect honey, you need about 5-7 energy and a little HP to get 2 honey each give 15 energy And also a great snack if you don't want to go to sleep too soon Oh and unlike the beta, nighttime doesn't exactly give you more energy like the beta so sleep whenever you want
Oh my goodness... I thought we were supposed to remove the meat! I've been automatically removing the meat with every, single body...because i thought I had to!🤦🏻♀️ I didn't even notice if it removed anything. Also... Thank you for mentioning pushing one log while carrying another. I never thought of doing that. Carrying one by one has been driving me mad! Thanks so much for this video. 🙂
One thing you should note it that once you sell enough burial certificates/ open the church the Donkey will want carrots as payment...... However if you store the burial certificates in a chest and wait a bit to open the church you can acquire a good amount of certificates before the donkey strike (I think 10 or 12 before the strike)
You can earn green points by pulling out the flowers , it gives one per flower and since there are so many in the map you'll get some easy green points fast. If I'm not mistaken they cost -1 energy to pull, but they can so be eaten and give +3 energy (maybe +2, I don't remember the exact number). Harvesting berries from the bushes also gives green points, and energy if eaten. Since they give little energy I collect a lot of them and eat a bunch whenever I run out of energy in the middle of building something, that way I can finish my work, go to sleep and use my full energy bar with something else. Thanks for the awesome guide, I wish I had it two days ago, I was really lost when I started playing, thankfully I got the drill of the game and I feel like I'm progressing :). sorry if I made any grammatical errors, English is not my first language :P
All of the grave decoration (fences/gravestones etc.) gives lots of blue points when you study them, it's worth hanging onto one of each of the poor quality wood/stone ones until you've researched them. Then you can break them down for parts/destroy them after. It's worth unlocking better quality grave decorations because you'll end up getting more blue points back than you spend. Be aware though that when you upgrade the church the bishop will be a jerk and not let you preach again until you have rightful citizen papers. Plan ahead if you are relying on getting faith/money to move forward.
Surely it was mentioned.. but just to be sure: you can recycle used graveyard parts like the cross or wooden decoration in the woodcutter. Even the stone parts can recycled in stonecutter I or II
I don't know if it worked that way when you left the comment but it is in fact time based, however time pauses when you are in the menus which is why it doesn't seem to recharge if you close your inventory it will recharge.
Hey DF, been watching your videos for awhile and been waiting for you to get further into graveyard keeper. (I love the game and just finished it a couple days ago) Nice video, keep up the good work. For your next video: good sources for early game blue points is from firing glass in the furnace, building and studying grave fences and headstones, and studying the various body parts as well.
DF, I have been awake since 6 am (it is currently around 11 pm), went to school and then worked a full shift. Usually i fall asleep to your videos, but food was calling my name. Thanks for putting out something that relaxes me after a terribly long and difficult day :)
I’ve found that selling stone gets you quite a bit of cash (on another note don’t sell wood it’s practically negligible) so if you need cash and have extra stone while in town go up and a little to the left until you find the guy that sells stone, there’s probably better ways to get cash but this is a good income at the beginning of the game. Hope this helps :)
Thank you so much for this video. I just grabbed Graveyard Keeper for the Switch and immediately felt in over my head. This is such a great guide! I don’t feel like as much of an idiot after watching this!!

The brain, bones, intestines, and heart come in useful later on but leave them on the corpse early game. Always have one set of filch, nails and iron parts ready to go. The teleport stone is super useful. Fishing 🎣 is an awesome way of making bank. Farming can make you serious returns from wheat > flour sold to the Miller or farmer. Try to upgrade your sermon at the church as soon as you can, the trade one is good early. Studying the brain at the study table gives you a lot of blue in return. If you need science decompose white paper at the study table. Use the trunks, nothing spoils in the game. Leave plenty of space in your inventory when you get into the dungeon section.
Dude thank you so much. I had a lot of hope for this game but it was super frustrating because I never had enough resources and got stuck a couple times. This greatly helped.
Thank you for this! I'm about to start a new game, I think, because I was kind of fumbling around in my first file and spent a lot of time and money buying from the blacksmith early on and I would love a second go where I can properly avoid doing that and penny pinch like a pro! Always love your vids DF, especially these Graveyard Keeper ones, you got me hooked on the game and now you're helping to make me not as much of an idiot stick about it Haha ♡
Pro tip I found out to get logs. There is a little forest down the road where donkey drops the body's. Once you unlock cutting those trees you can push the logs towards the stone fence. This will act as a funnel. My best haul is around 30 logs in one go.
I know it does sound odd to say that blood and fat transforms a red skull to white skull. it is truely better to say you get -1 red skull and +1 white skull. this is because you can in fact have negative numbers. this means that if you end up with negative red skulls, then you can do embalming later where it would add 1 red and 1 white skull but since the red skulls are in the negative, you'll only see the white skulls being added.
no, both blood and fat takes away a red skull and adds a white skull. if you were at a point where you have negative amounts of white skull, or red skulls, and you did any embalming that would add which ever one that has negative amounts, you'll notice that you'll get less than you expected. also negative red skulls also affect your grave's score. if you had a body that started with only 1 red skull, if you removed blood and fat from it, you'll notice that when you buried the body, you'll have a score of 1 for the grave instead of 0, this is because you have a -1 red skull and red skulls subtracts the grave's score. so having a negative red skull will actually increase your rating instead.
dang this is a nice little tutorial 👍🏻 i played a solid 3 hours and you got further in like 20 minutes than i did in those hours. i didn’t even know the quarry existed 🤦♀️

I've been playing the game all week and figured I'd have learned everything. I just enjoy your videos and took a look to see what tips I may have missed. There's a TELEPORT STONE!!! And you can SLEEP at the CABIN IN THE WOODS!!! 2 very useful tips I carelessly missed in my play through. I'm going to jump back into the game and be so much more productive now! My graveyard is at 150 and church at 50 so I still have a ways to go. I'm beginning alchemy and that stuff has been confusing. The wiki has been extremely helpful
I found this vid a little tardy to the party here, but it's actually what made me want to go give the game a shot! Thank you for posting too, it's helping me along! :D
@@Reymii there is a dude sort of like Linus in the game. I don't want to spoil it for you though. You'll probably meet him in future videos on this game.

Inside your house is a hatch to the basement. In the basement are a few broken barrel things you can break up to get some free iron parts and nails to start with. Eating food restores energy, but if you go more than a day and a half or so without sleeping you get a debuff that causes you to lose 1 energy per second until you sleep.
You also should unlock hardparts to harvest skull, which gives 1 red skull, and then remove blood/fat to change it into the white one, it works perfectly with bodies that have 1 red skull, when bodies have 3 red skulls you should harvest one of the important parts, that will remove 2 random skulls (they depents on body generation, so you can save and try to get perfect body). The trick with autopsy table is worth checking, im myself using trick with putting a body in the grave, without burying it, which works for sure. Dont destroy good grave parts, keep them in chest for some time, later you can repair them, which costs less resources than making them again. Also killing the bats will give you their wings, that you can use to make paper, which will be very helpful.
Well, you sold me on this game! Absolutely love everything about this BC character, DF! You have helped this island girl understand Stardew Valley very much. When I’m too tired to play from the real farming life and stardew, I just watch DF. I’ve watched pretty much all your stardew videos. To get more DF, I must get Grave Keeper to play on my mini iPad Pro 2 ( old and works for stardew good enough). I really hope Graveyard Keeper will work on my mini pro 2 ? It’s a gamble, DF’s worth it. Not only can you game, you actually balance to stay healthy! Outdoorsy, loves coffee, and looks after himself! No face reveal ever needed please! Comox Valley girl says, thank youuuuuuu soooooo much for being entertaining and fun to start and finish my day with. And if I’m stuck in game play, you’ve helped that to! Thank You! Thank You! Thank You! You rock! Cheers! Not that you’ll ever see this. Needed to share! Lm@o 😊👍
If you spam right click while pushing logs etc. horizontally, it stays with you and does not slip off. Essentially you are juggling the one carried with the one pushed.
You don't usually have to buy iron, there's some just north of your house. Red skulls are ok to bury if you have good enough grave markers. Great video as always.
You know something i think would really help new players in this game is if you couldn't unlock something and you click on it then it'll be marked which will show you what you need in order to get to that
This actually made me realize how stupid I was for being weeks into the game and not knowing how to get the ability to mine iron.... Or that the cabin in the woods even existed....
Checked all the comments and didn't see this: sleeping in the day is just as good as sleeping at night. In the Alpha version you slept better at night, but I guess the developers decided not to penalise working the graveyard shift in the full release.
Bodies decompose in order from fastest to slowest 1: Being on the ground outside 2: Being on the ground inside the morgue 3: Being on the autopsy table/body rack 4: Being on the refrigerated body rack I didn't include messing with any of the embalming liquids, those come pretty late game anyway. Also, pro tip, if you're tired of bodies getting dropped off all the time, just store some in the morgue until you have X/X bodies (max you can hold), and the donkey won't show up. You can also not give him carrots (After he goes on strike), but if you're an idiot like me and gave him 50 carrots (10 bodies) and don't feel like dealing with them every day for 2 in game weeks (excluding Sun Day, that's his day off), just stop dealing with them for a bit after getting all your racks stored with bodies. And if you only have the autopsy table, just leave one on there. They won't go bad that fast if they're in the morgue.

What a game changer selling that coal ! I sell nails but needed iron ! Now I do have pickaxe II so I can bring a lot back but for real I got 30 silver now haha awesome !
My problem with this game is that there's so much you can do that it feels like I'm losing track of the core idea of the game. Like, it's probably been 2-3 hours of play since the last time I did anything involving a dead body or the graveyard.

I think the blood takes away one red, and the fat adds one white skull
Since you can remove only one it's not technically "swapping"
no, both blood and fat takes away a red skull and adds a white skull. if you were at a point where you have negative amounts of white skull, or red skulls, and you did any embalming that would add which ever one that has negative amounts, you'll notice that you'll get less than you expected. also negative red skulls also affect your grave's score. if you had a body that started with only 1 red skull, if you removed blood and fat from it, you'll notice that when you buried the body, you'll have a score of 1 for the grave instead of 0, this is because you have a -1 red skull and red skulls subtracts the grave's score. so having a negative red skull will actually increase your rating instead.
Darkendragon whoa - what?!!? Thanks for sharing - I had no idea!!
I was so lost in this game before watching this video. Thank you sooo much mate!
dang this is a nice little tutorial 👍🏻 i played a solid 3 hours and you got further in like 20 minutes than i did in those hours. i didn’t even know the quarry existed 🤦♀️
ty the game is so overwhelming at the start and u really helped
Dude your awesome! And funny!!! And for reals this was the best beginners vid I’ve seen on this game yet. Still don’t know what I’m doing so I will watch this a couple
More times! Thanks
the coal tip oh my god. HUGE. also for some dumb reason i though the teleport stone was a one time use so i bought it and literally stored it... never used it. FACEPALM. now i will actually use it.
hilarious video and good info. will be returning to this channel for sure.
A new video from DF 🙌 I could listen to that voice all day long😄
Thank you, the lack of intuition at he beginning of this game is frustrating.
OMG....I started a new game after watching. SO helpful, thank you!!!!!!!!!!
This guy finds the coolest most artistic games to play. Love it
Very nice video. I've been playing this game for 2-3 hrs and I was definitely nowhere near as set as you were in this video. Super helpful! :3
Thanks! This was much more coherent than the other video I watched
OMG this is so good. Im saving this video.
Thank you, dude. I was very overwhelmed.
Take that, Krezvold.
I love this game, cant wait until you get to be able to make burgers for the witch burning festivals :D
I wonder if Pam counts as a burger
It's like this game was made for him, I found myself reading the dialogues in his voice in my head lol
I wonder if Pam counts
Getting gold onions takes a while though :/
Don't invite pam
Or your beer will missing
Just discovered this guy, I CANNOT unhear Caboose talking narrating
When Will George be added to the gAme?
Already buried
DangerouslyFunny Yeah probably... linus?
hooj joko I get that... the wizard?
George is probably worth nothing
@@Reymii there is a dude sort of like Linus in the game. I don't want to spoil it for you though. You'll probably meet him in future videos on this game.
Thank you so much for this video! I've been watching and playing at the same time, pausing the game and video accordingly so I can follow what you did!
Also killing the bats will give you their wings, that you can use to make paper, which will be very helpful.
hi DF how are you doing?
Oh derp... I assumed the teleport stone was a single use item so I've been ignoring it. Solid guide, DF.
You don't usually have to buy iron, there's some just north of your house.
Red skulls are ok to bury if you have good enough grave markers.
Great video as always.
I just recently got this game and this just want I needed... I was doing it all wrong, LOL... Thank you for an awesome tutorial...
1:00 me: giving myself infinite gold 5 minutes into the game
*still out of gold*
how tf
Thank you! I was lost without this
This video was very helpful and now I can't stop playing this game
im not an idiot but im certianly gonna use this guide papa bliss
this is the most helpful beginner guide trust me.
Sweet, you make videos for this game too! Love your weird voice !
Love watching you play this game! Keep the videos rolling!
You know something i think would really help new players in this game is if you couldn't unlock something and you click on it then it'll be marked which will show you what you need in order to get to that
I have to play this game sometime ,its looks really good ,reminds me really much of stardew valley 😊
No coal.
Went to quarry, there's a mine that requires zombies to mine.
Did they gate stuff off in the main game after the dlc dropped?
If you haven't found it yet, just go a bit farther east for the coal vein.
@@thelonelystowner thank you
Bodies decompose in order from fastest to slowest
1: Being on the ground outside
2: Being on the ground inside the morgue
3: Being on the autopsy table/body rack
4: Being on the refrigerated body rack
I didn't include messing with any of the embalming liquids, those come pretty late game anyway.
Wow this video was super helpful! I was struggling a little bit after I bought this for the switch. Thanks.
This was a useful introduction to this game. Thank you.
omg I about died laughing when that body got thrown in the water
I need to replay this now this is so damn helpful I opened the witch first on my playthrough my graveyard although open was a mess and after traversing the nightmare swamp to get to the witch I couldn’t be bothered to walk back home lol
Thank you for sharing! Very helpful 😊
Just got it. Already on 1 gold on my first few hours in and hit massive wall getting blue points. First preaching done, no idea how to do the garden for the first merchant quest either. So far, loving it
selling coal for the blacksmith is the best way to farm money
thank you for this omg i've been playing GK all morning and i've been kinda lost so ... this was very helpful (and i realize how much i've been doing wrong LMAO)
What a game changer selling that coal ! I sell nails but needed iron ! Now I do have pickaxe II so I can bring a lot back but for real I got 30 silver now haha awesome !
Why is the guy in the thumbnail holding Pam's head
Want something fun? hold a death body when you go talk to open up the church. The death body will show up in the cut scene as you offer it :)
I did this but with a log in the inquisitor cutscene
Still the best guide out there!
The Definitive Guide to Defeating the Blacksmith 😂😂
brilliant vid love the title aswell. Keep up the good work and even better content :)
I was avoiding the teleport stone because I thought it was a limited use item... well I know what to buy now
Wow I didn't even know about the quarry! Thanks for the video
My problem with this game is that there's so much you can do that it feels like I'm losing track of the core idea of the game.
Like, it's probably been 2-3 hours of play since the last time I did anything involving a dead body or the graveyard.
Been waiting for this. Thank you!
we want nothing but positivity in our corpses
Why have i missed the quarry wtf, that is so full of resources and it's helpful asf
