I HATE LOOSING VIDEO FILES! It always seems to happen to me. That carb was pretty nasty! Thats why I decided to put a shut off on the murray. Every tractor/mower should have a shut off. Hows the Stiga?
HEY! That lawnflite uses the exact same MTD platform as my Yard-Man! I guess the only difference is the bigger engine and the hood styling to accommodate the new battery placement and the stock headlights. It's really nice to see that thing!! I can't wait for more videos of it. If you ever want to part the thing out, let me know... I'll buy the transaxle. As for cutting with it, you have to watch out because the turning radius is horrible with the bagger. It's best at mowing in straight lines.
Hydro? Never knew these came with hydro rear ends, that thing must be something. Should make a video on it sometime. And it doesn't suprise me most are scrapped, theyre not particualary good machines, The steering on this thing really needs new linkages, but it does mow really well!
@chox2001 There's loads on ebay, all the cheap deals seem to be down in England these days though. Just keep looking. Something always turns up on ebay
Being a North American made mower and Engine, Just curious? How is parts availability in England? I've had a few MTD Lawn tractors and found them to be good mowers over all. I'm currently restoring a 1979 MTD 8/34. Friend of mine here in Ontario Canada gave me the mower. I cleaned the carb, did away with the old magneto set up and installed a magnetron solid state ignition coil and it fired right up. Now just have to rewire it, and paint. Deck and components were in a1 shape.
@Fearlessfront Ya, definatly agree, theyre usful. I dont usualy havea problem with video files, but I was moving alot of stuff from my pc harddrive to an external one and seem to have lost them in the proccess. The Stiga is still sick :( need to find a backwards rotating gearbox for it.... it's a werid set up. Starting the engine up on it for the first time since the gearbox died on me last year, fired straight up!
@lobsterbox20 You're right actually, identical chassis wise. I'll get another video of it up, the turning sucks on this thing anyway, but I'm probably selling it soon, I just bought it until I could find something better, I was offered a Honda 2218 Hydro for £30!

thats a great price I have looked high and low for a garden tractor cheap.

@mowerspeedracer Its the only tractor Ive seen sell localling for less than £100, two years ago I could have bought 3 for the same price!
