For those who don't play ocarina, just know that there are different chambers in this ocarina, and switching between them so fast and seamlessly is extremely difficult. The whole song is so, so hard to play on ocarina, this arrangement is very impressive
Yes! It’s literally as if you glued 2 recorders or flutes together and shifted your mouth over to blow into the other, higher pitched one.

Had a conversation about ocarinas today and remembered these videos. I haven't been here in a long time, but I remember the Doc Jazz4 days and OcTalk.
Something about Ocarinas and Howl's moving castle makes me feel nostalgic. I saw an Ocarina in our house or my grandparent's house but my memory is hazy the only thing clear is that I'm staring at it intently, white ceramic with waves of blue like ocean waves that diffused into green specks of splashes of water under the sun.
Since yesterday I have been kinda obsessed with my ocarina after a very long time and I have been going back and forth from your and STL's channel. Howl's moving castle is probably my fave ghibli movie and it happened that you uploaded this video right when I clicked on your channel again today. Is this a sign I should get the double ocarina I was contemplating of getting????

It is amazing I was just sharing this movie with my niece and telling her about one of my favorite things about the Ghibli is the feeling that you get from hearing the score and why it just translates the animation into something magical. We watched my favorite one which is castle in the sky and then we watched this one and we do that every few months :)

This has officially become one of my main background songs to play for my baby daughter during the day, and it just fills my house with an atmosphere intrigue and a beautiful calmness ❤ I can't quite identify what specific type and tuning that ocarina is though. Question were does one buy sheet music 12 hole ocarina? I'm new to them just got one but don't know we're the best place to get music.
Sheet Music specifically arranged for ocarina is a bit hard to come by. Hal Leonard has a few books for 12 hole, and there are a few books available through Thomann.de in Germany.
