My whole family are Japanese, and my whole family always watched Ghibli movies together on spring afternoons in a flower field in our backyard and my mother had a piano placed in a gravel circle in the middle of the peach flowered fields and she would play piano while we danced and sung until the sun set. Ugh, I want to go back so bad. Now that I listen to this, I tear up and remember the amazing times I had with my whole family and how lucky I was to experience my mother playing piano for us as the sun cascaded into the pearly orange sky. When I hear this song, I imagine me in a abandoned ballroom that was once such a lovely and gorgeous place and the ghostly figures and memories of the people dancing along with me in the moonlit sky shining upon the place with such lighting.
Even though I’m still so young, I get a feeling of nostalgia whenever I listen to this song. Something about it tears at heart, soul, and consciousness, yet still makes me want to get up and dance around my room. I’m split between that feeling of absolute bliss and wanting to cry. Whenever I think of this, I think of many things at once. I think of myself in a dress, twirling nonstop down the streets of a happy European town. I think of, like many others, a ballroom with many people dancing. I think of myself stuck on a never ending ornately garnished merry go round. I think of an ornate wheel being spun... it’s as if my consciousness is being taken on a journey. It’s very fast-paced until it reaches the end of the song, and it just takes me to so many places. It’s as if I were being led my Howl or Sophie by my hand and we were skipping over pages of a book that contained different places and experiences. We would stop for a few seconds and admire our surroundings, then continue to the next page. It’s hard to explain, but there are very few songs who make my mind run off in such a way. That’s why I love this song so much. The physical feeling of a slight pain in my heart and the journey this song takes me on is just so unique. There’s only one other song that I can think of right now that has the same effect, and that is What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong 1961. Thank you.

Joe Hisaishi is such an excellent (just imagining the amount of work he had to do to get that good, hurts my tiny brain) composer. He always perfectly captures the movie's feeling and makes it so uniquely his. And you can just picture whatever he makes through his music, and that is so rare. You have to admit the instrumentals make up 40% of all Ghibli movies.

Though, imagine there are friendly vampires just in the ballroom getting ready to their dance partner before the ‘beat drops’ (you know when-) and before it does some handsome vampire (that also has a lowkey crush on you) comes up to you as he bows as if asking for a dance in which you slightly stumble from curtsying, but managed to remain on being clumsy and flustered. Then grabs your hand, gentle grip on your waist as you both dance away around the others. Then at the end you guys are speeding up and spinning faster as it ends with him dipping you as everyone watches in awe and amazed. every time i listen to this song i remember the first time i watched the movie, i was laying in bed and it was like 3 am in the morning and i couldn’t stop giggling every time howl came on screen, the vibes were amazing, the moon was shining through my window and and the only light i had was a poorly lit candle that smelled amazing, after i finished the movie i listened to this song and cried wishing i lived in a world where magic and romance like this existed.

My whole family are Japanese, and my whole family always watched Ghibli movies together on spring afternoons in a flower field in our backyard and my mother had a piano placed in a gravel circle in the middle of the peach flowered fields and she would play piano while we danced and sung until the sun set. Ugh, I want to go back so bad.
Now that I listen to this, I tear up and remember the amazing times I had with my whole family and how lucky I was to experience my mother playing piano for us as the sun cascaded into the pearly orange sky. Literally I was living in a fairytale, thankyou mum🥰.

Even though I’m still so young, I get a feeling of nostalgia whenever I listen to this song. Something about it tears at heart, soul, and consciousness, yet still makes me want to get up and dance around my room. I’m split between that feeling of absolute bliss and wanting to cry. Whenever I think of this, I think of many things at once. I think of myself in a dress, twirling nonstop down the streets of a happy European town. I think of, like many others, a ballroom with many people dancing. I think of myself stuck on a never ending ornately garnished merry go round. I think of an ornate wheel being spun... it’s as if my consciousness is being taken on a journey. It’s very fast-paced until it reaches the end of the song, and it just takes me to so many places. It’s as if I were being led my Howl or Sophie by my hand and we were skipping over pages of a book that contained different places and experiences. We would stop for a few seconds and admire our surroundings, then continue to the next page. It’s hard to explain, but there are very few songs who make my mind run off in such a way. That’s why I love this song so much. The physical feeling of a slight pain in my heart and the journey this song takes me on is just so unique. There’s only one other song that I can think of right now that has the same effect, and that is What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong 1961. Thank you.

The story, and the movie, "Howl's Moving Castle", was an unforgettable experience! The story is in a fantasy world. The author was amazing and managed to convince us that we were surrounded by a matrix of fantasy. The sound track was indeed well planned aswell. I shazamed the song's title and found out it was for the show Howl's Moving Castle. Prior to the class I had seen this title on Netflix and was interested in watching it but never got to it. After months have passed with me doing my own things, the next year hits. 2021, January 5th, I decided to listen to this amazing song due to a cat video I found on Instagram that featured this song. I was reminded of how beautiful this piece was. Then, I recalled the whole scenario of how I got to know of this song in the first place. That then brings me to this moment, writing down this comment for everyone to see. Maybe it's finally time to watch Howl's Moving Castle? Joe Hisaishi is such an excellent (just imagining the amount of work he had to do to get that good, hurts my tiny brain) composer. He always perfectly captures the movie's feeling and makes it so uniquely his. And you can just picture whatever he makes through his music, and that is so rare.

This is one of the greatest things I have ever seen. That score is every bit as great as anything John Williams has ever done. I am so proud to be involved in any way to this movie. I do the English voice of King Jihl in the film. It's a small part but it became my introduction to Miyazaki. This music is so soothing and just puts the evils of the world on hold while it plays.

This song just makes me wanna cry of happiness, studio Ghibli sure has amazing work. There was one day I watched Howls Moving Castle 2 times in a row. Their films sure have magic and grow on people's hearts, I remember watching this as a child but now re-watching it is idk so amazing!
