Thanks man! :) Yes, right now its only used for recording. In the proces of building a new pc so it will function as a soundcard for that. Setup for the speakers and recording with the focusrite is separate. I use active monitor speakers that connect directly to the master left and right of the Xone with XLR cables. The thick cables in the centre back of the mixer. The Focusrite is connected to the record-out of the Xone on the left back. Cheers!

No problem. 😎 Yeah its a very handy device. The two front inputs of the Focusrite can be used as XLR inputs or 1/4 TRS/TS inputs. My setup is with dual 1/4 TS connectors that go into the front left and right of the Focusrite. The other side of the cables are dual RCA connectors. Those go into the record out of the Xone. So your initial idea is also possible. The backside of the Focusrite has 1/4 TRS and RCA outputs. The speakers i use have 1/4 TRS inputs next to the XLR inputs so they can be connected to the backside of the Focusrite. The most convenient setup is based on the cables you already have and what kind of connections can be made to the speakers. Hapy new year to you too! Cheers!
