Ok I knew she said it was sun issues but at this stage of the game know need to pull an Iga & make excuses. But 30 winners? Wow good for her. Going forward I hope she takes more time on her serves. Maybe that would lessen the dfs.
The match lasted over 1 hour. You mean to tell me the team could not think of getting a sun visor within this time? Will she struggle again next time or she will wear a cap or something?
I can’t recall Coco ever wearing a visor? Any historians has Coco ever worn a visor, she enjoyed the 11:30 start I guess the time of her next match may determine if so
@@TennisinaMinute Never seen her with one either. But I know she has struggled with the elements before. In Cancun Finals, she struggled against the wind big time. Iga handled it very well. Months later I heard her say she understood wind direction in a stadium with retracted roof because, as she said, she had a team member who was a former sailor. Coco's next match is 7pm Melbourne, meaning a bad 3am EST!!! So there might still be sun (summer time). Sunset will be 8:44pm as per Google. It will be interesting to see what she comes up with to cope with the rays.
No haha. when Emma won the US Open in 2021 she was given an exhibition match to play anyone she wanted at the Albert Hall in London at Xmas and she chose Gabrielle. It was a competitive match and is on TH-cam@@TennisinaMinute
All things considered with 9 dfs(mostly sun issues) she hit 12 aces and 30 winners. Proud of Coco, keeping her cool and staying mentally strong.

Honest opinion? Kennin was at the races but Coco outclassed her
Agree Kenin is super tough ❤️
Those 8 DF needs to be cleaned up, I think they both were nervous in that first set . I knew this would not be easy . She diggggging 🎉🎉🎉
Under Brad, she would have had 19
Double faults coming from the sun in her eyes plus going for her big serve am not worried she is making the final❤
@ im aware she better get a damn visor 🤣
@@marcusgraham5084 no shit lol as long as they are under 12, I know it was the sun ,
Good point lol

I hope they do something because that sun is going nowhere.

Those double faults. 😟 Hopefully it’s just first match jitters.
@@CNJL1 seems like the sun ☀️
Yeah she said she couldn't see the ball. The sun 🌞 was a factor for both players.
I hope the Suns glare isn’t an issue next match
@@southpawdraw2661Yes but the other player had 0 dfs. I’m a Coco fan but IJS.,
@imhereforitall9218 true and she also had ZERO aces.
I’m a Coco fan but she better stand on business & stop all those dfs. She had 9 & the average with her skills set is 3 to 4 dfs.
