My Dell Optiplex GX260 From 2002 Running Windows XP Home Edition

I got this Dell Optiplex GX260 around 2007 maybe. When I first booted up for the first time, it was running Windows XP Home Edition. It was a good computer.
PC Specs:
Intel Pentium 4 - 2GHZ
768MB RAM
18GB (XP STORED) and a 37GB NTFS HDD
NVIDIA Geforce4 MX440 with AGP8X Graphics Card at 64MB

I have a Dell optiplex 755 i got from my school with all the bits and bobs (i got it for free because my school is closing down forever it came with keyboard mouse screen etc.) it came with fresh install of XP and runs a treat and there's nothing wrong with it it's quiet and with a LAN to wireless adapter it browses the web like a boss in fact i'm typing this comment on the computer it self!

Good luck doing that. I tried that before with this computer. Not compatible with Windows Aero, but it still runs well with Windows 7, if you have enough RAM, and hard drive space.

@Simzak951 Well, thats the maximum resolution that this monitor can take. And to get that resolution, you need a graphics card that can handle that resolution.

Okay, what I wanna know is why does everyone think that Windows XP is so old? I had a computer running XP until a month ago when we upgraded cause it crashed. We still have the computer and it runs Windows 7 perfectly, though I still miss XP. As long as you keep your computer updated and don't mess around with any security settings, you can still surf the web, play games, etc. (if running XP) We have 3 computers running Windows 7 now and I prefer mac but it's too expensive.

how do u get that high resolution i have a 1600 x 900 monitor and it will only let me go up to 1200 x 768?

you need to install drivers especially audio and video set it launch as window xp
