    Your Manic Pixie Dream Girl video was recommended to me a few days ago and i've been binging your videos ever since! I'm so glad you talked about Fleabag too, I watch this entire show every few months to get those emotions running. You're a big inspiration to me with my own videos, thanks for giving me the motivation to keep going!

    The "secret" to having it "altogether" would be to find contentment in the little things. Be happy in what you can enjoy, don't chalk it up to be a waste of time because"I could be doing X right now but instead I'm watching TV" don't beat yourself up over enjoy you enjoy, you deserve R&R. Another thing I've learned is that these lofty goals aren't going to accomplish themselves, they'll only take as long as you take to get around to working towards them. The sooner, the better.

    I loved Fleabag! It was dark and irreverent and funny! She is such a good actor and the show is so good. But i almost feel bad for her... because she was so good as fleabag, it will be hard for her to get work by others that aren't just imitations of that character.
    She's totally good enough to write herself another convincing persona, but hollywood will continue drawing from that same well.
    PS. Catastrophe is also a very funny Amazon series!

    • @ana-isabel
      @ana-isabel  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I couldn't agree more! Fleabag was such an original, hilarious spin on the whole "finding yourself" storyline with probably the best use of fourth wall breaking I've seen yet (and love how they deconstructed it in the second season too!)
      I get what you mean though - I can tell Waller-Bridge is mega talented and can probs take on a wide range of roles, but I do worry she'll be typecast into this sort of persona. Let's see though! She's bound to write herself another awesome character - and hopefully Hollywood picks up that she ain't a one-trick pony.
      Thanks for the recommendation btw, I'll be sure to check out Catastrophe! 😃

    Getting your life together is horrific experience. For me it took a few things.
    Spending a childhood slowly dying from a curable disease and understanding that there is a treatment, but the adults around you refuse to help.
    Things are good now! Married, cured, and working at a job that I enjoy and helps people. Thanks for sharing your video! I will check this show out.

    I watched this with a friend of mine (female), and it was not just funny and entertaining, and sad, but also incredibly enlightening. A window into a woman's mind in a way that Peep Show is for the man's mind. Of course they're totally different series with different intentions, but they really make you see how someone thinks and feels outside of the perfect world of TV/movies. If you like this show, I'd also recommend "Please Like Me".

    Has anyone talked about Crashing yet? It's another one of Phoebe's projects about twenty-somethings being property guardians in an abandoned hospital and their shenanigans. It only has six episodes, since it was unfortunately cancelled. It's set up like a lot of sitcoms and comedies, but the situations those characters find themselves in are so unique and visceral. The characters are also so raw and flawed, but they also play off of each other so well. Episode 3, the curry episode, displays all of these elements at their best, and is one of my all time favorite episodes of television.

    • @mahsamaghferati3520
      @mahsamaghferati3520 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      oh my god yes! crashing was great. I watched fleabag a long time ago and I was sooooo obsessed with it that I didn't want to watch anything else of Phoebe's work cuz I was afraid of not liking it. but then I finally decided that I can't take it anymore and I HAVE TO watch crashing, so I did and I loved it. also, the character Phoebe plays in that show reminds me so much of fleabag. I finished crashing a week ago and already want to rewatch it! Phoebe's just so underrated, it's not fair.

      @@mahsamaghferati3520 yes, Lulu does remind me so much of Fleabag! I just love how unique the dynamic of the characters are, and I thought a lot of the episode concepts were brilliant, like the scavenger hunt and the curry episode. I watch a lot of comedy shows and it's left a larger impact on me in its 6 episodes than a lot of the others I've watched. Ugh it needs so much more attention.

    A friend of mine recommended it to me very eagerly. I'm so glad i listened to her, this show was a rollercoaster of emotions. At times it was hard to watch for me, because i saw things i used to do/say, and those are the feelings to go deep to, where there's discomfort it's because it's triggering something from you, something to face from yourself. It's a must-watch for males, and i will keep on recommending it.

It could show her a bit later in life of how she progressed, regressed, or just some sort of change in her life. Or even a single movie, to bring Us bag to Fleabag life for a moment.
