Everything I use is in the description. Remember change settings to watch in 4k.

I saw a 10-12 foot Manta Ray near the pier a few weeks ago. Pretty radical for me, I never saw one of these in Hampton Roads in 50 years.

This is a helpful video. I'm moving into a place in Newport News tomorrow and I can't wait to get started fishin'. Maybe I'll see you around and say high.

I usually come here once or twice a year to catch striped bass in the fall. Used to go more but gas prices are too expensive to justify 1 fish, since I'm from Richmond.

Yes I agree. Bait, gas, entry fee and one bad day to deter coming again 🤣

I remember those hot summer days as a kid football season here on the off time fishing the James River always good fishing. Man time flys that was 19 years ago.

@@ZephyrFishing I wouldn't know I haven't fished there since last summer. Judging by how many people are always on the pier though I'd say it is.

Can you do a tutorial on the rigs you use when fishing for croaker or spot near the DC area?

Live here on the Eastern shore in Maryland. Worked on the water most of my life. I hate hooking into skate, I just cut my line. I will say most guy's will gaff them in the head while poundnetting but I'd always release them without killing them. Great video bro. Goodluck.

I know some that will keep them as shark bait. Ive heard that they taste like scallops as well. Lucky you, eastern shore is prime fishing 🎣

They are delicious... most of the world eats them up happily. Nice restaurants in the US will serve them, but for some reason the average American treats them like trash.

@@ZephyrFishing I don’t typically fish in the James because the waste management station is right down the way, near the Monitor Merrimac. On a bad day, there can be a slick on the top of the water.

All those itty bitty fish you're keeping? Those aren't good eats. You better check the fish charts. You can't keep them below a certain size. I fish there a lot & those look too small. That's illegal.
