A pier that was built with our tax money.If you notice the sign says no night fishing a freedom our money paid fot.The pier was in fact built for night fishing and the guy who runs the parks Mr.Hagerty who has never fished in his life and does everything to favor commercial fisheris.He in fact tried to close Solomons but that county told him NOT HAPPENING GOOD JOB CALVERT COUNTY THANK YOU.Calvert knows it brings money to local businesses. Which Hagerty can care less about just like most politicians in Maryland

caught small flounder last time I was there, biggest was 15 inches, if the bay salinity is high some more interesting saltwater fish show up!

I love the park, but all I catch are dinks off the pier. Tons of small specs. Better to walk the beach and fish the surf and land some larger flounder. Croaks and spots are the best thing you can catch regularly off the pier.

Looks like fun, but I can't justify the expense of the boat for those little fish. Back home, we catch bluegills bigger than that with cane poles from the bank. But, it does motivate me to get my john boat out and put it in the backwaters of the bay this weekend.
