Looks like TH-cam has gotten greedy and denied A LOTTA creators their rightful due and that's WRONG! Every creator has mentioned this and YourTube has obviously taken their creators and viewers for granted. It WAS such a good format.

Happy New Year, Curtis. Amazing harvest. I'm a 65 year old American, and I've taken a vow to NOT be connected to everyone else on the planet at all times. I've also vowed to never join FB or to send a text. Having said that... yes, I do communicate on a land line, a cell phone, and I'm wifi connected to the Internet at home, where I can access my email. I also use the net to look up information, watch documentaries and TH-cam videos. As a hobby gardener, I like to watch gardening, homesteading, permaculture, and sustainability videos, and I've watched most of your channel. I hope that you won't leave YT. Keep up your good work.

I had my left eye muscles literally break, and with it my whole life did too. I lost my job selling solar panels, wrecked my car because I couldn't see, and now Im literally jobless, unemployed, and so scared to work for someone again since they can just up turn your life if you no longer serve them. Your videos have absolutely inspired me to start my own microgreens business, and I have followed all of your advice. I bought your book, and also a copy for my neighbor. If you set up a link for donation I would donate in a heart beat, and skip youtube entirely. 1. have a place on your website to host videos. 2. make a video telling us you are leaving youtube and send the link to your video channel. 3. Make a mailchimp or some type of auto email that lets us know when a new video is out. 4. We will just follow you to your new page however you decide to set it up. 5. Create the donate button so that way we can skip all the middle man and just donate straight to you. I know people are absolutely willing to pay for your content. I would rather pay you versus pay youtube and advertisers. 6. I bought all the PaperPot trays to start growing microgreens because of your video promoting them and talking about them. That's what sold me, not any systems created by youtube. Again so much love!

But I think looking for the new technology platforms will eventually serve you better. I have enjoyed seeing you grow your business and your channel content. I think 2018 will be an exciting year for you and your family. Happy new year!

Hey Curtis, sunflower shoots are my main microgreen crop and I've come up with the only sterilization method to remove white mold (Scerotinia sclerotorium) from inside the seed (that's where white mold hides). Peroxide will not take care of seed borne white mold but rather sterilize the surface of the hulls. The only seed friendly treatment (besides synthetic fungicides) against white mold is to soak the seeds in water with a teaspoon of ammonium bicarbonate per liter of water. It kills ALL the white mold spores and leftovers. Thereafter I inoculate the seeds with spores of a plant growth promoting fungus (Trichoderma harzianum T-22) available at the biocontrol store. This will make the shoots more resistant to infection from outside (mostly through fruit flies, sometimes also the medium). It will also keep Pythium (sometimes present in potting soil) down to a minimum. I'm also trying out another biocontrol agent now, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens FZB42, to see if it's even more effective.

Hi, I would like to thank you for all the videos you have already posted. I was disheartened to hear you imply TH-cam may be going in a direction that is not desirable, including demonetizing some videos. I will say your videos are very inspirational, you also make everything seem easy, I think the greatest barrier for any of us watching your videos to achieve similar success is our own minds. The opportunities of all of us viewers to do good (and earn a living) are out there without too much digging (pun intended). You have posted many incredible videos of yourself just making it happen. I also enjoyed the one that showed some guy growing in his living room before moving to a shipping container that could potentially gross $16,000 a month (if the demand could be found). You are an inspiration as a farmer, as a TH-cam presenter, and entrepreneur. I wish you continued success, I realize some of your videos may act as marketing for your other lines of business, but I truly believe the value you have given freely to so many, the inspiration, etc. is coming back to you in multiples (I hope)...you are reaping what you have sowed. Best wishes and continued success for 2018.

Heah Curtis, I have a couple of suggestions for video content. As an older urban farmer, I've found it extremely helpful and necessary to do certain types of stretching excercises before, during and after my harvesting and other work routines. I'm in my fifties now and would like to continue this type of work for some time. The stretching really helps. Also, as far as content goes, where do you see trends in veg production going? It seems like microgreens out on the west coast might be waning in popularity and things like larger decorative leaves gaining on popularity. What trends do you see if any?

Hi. One question regarding the H2O2 + Vinegar. The mixture was 20 ml of each per one liter of water. But then you say that you added 5 liters for 2100 grams of seeds....I think I missed something..

I fill the same way..... about the ratio.
Also, I have another question. I purchase USA made 1 gallon 12% food grade hydrogen peroxide from Amazon. And their instructions is 3 drop 12% = 1 drop 35% .
What ratio I should follow? According to his ratio (29%) if I use 50 ML hydrogen peroxide and 50 mL of white vinegar with one liter of water would be okay.? Because mine is 35% not 29%....

First off let me say that I appreciate the time and trouble you go through to convey your ideas and knowledge to everyone. Again thanks for your knowledge...God bless you and your family.:)

Happy New Year Curtis and I think you deserve a break from the pressure of making the videos and being so giving of yourself and even though I really love them, I am excited to hear that you have other things on the go. Here in Melbourne, Australia it is a scorching 42 degrees today and my outdoor microgreens have been covered with shadecloth in the hope they don't fry, so I am jealously eyeing your all weather space in this video. The pink sprouting kale is really suffering already at 10 am . Only three days ago it was 7 degrees overnight, so massive temperature variations but the snowpeas have thrived. Thanks for all the hints and tips.

You could be an IRL streamer on Twitch? Stream an hour or longer depends on how you would like your setup. Might save you some time editing because it would be raw. For better soaking you can use air pump for aquarium, which can increase the germination speed. After the soaking you will see the small sprouts for the most of seeds. And the vinegar is unnecessary, peroxide can remove 99% of bacterium from seeds, just add 30 gram of peroxide on 1 liter of water and soak your seeds in this solution for 10 hours.

I live in Norther New Mexico at 6700 ft. and notice that it takes anywhere from 25%-100% longer to grow anything here than what is usually listed on the packaging. If you have any suggestions, I would welcome them. Thanks

Hopefully, TH-cam finds a better way to handle demonetization, but I’d say Facebook is second best. ‘Curtis Stone is live’ could make good content for your followers. You could also publish condensed versions of your most popular TH-cam videos with text overlays (this trend really kicked off last year) to help spread your content.
Also with Facebook, you can have the videos on your page while still posting to TH-cam. That way you can grow an audience on both platforms.

Have you appealed any of the demonitizations? I've never NOT had a video remonitized after requesting a review.
I'm somewhat biased since TH-cam is the only social media I engage, but I don't think it makes much sense to try to reinvent the wheel on a different platform. TH-cam isn't perfect, but as a creator (like you) that values sharing real information over making money with clickbaity fluff, I still believe it's better to be on a mainstream platform that makes it easy to find content. You have a large enough archive you could easily take a few months off from posting videos without a) making much of a difference in your revenue or b) feel bad about leaving your viewers with nothing to watch. If anything, a hiatus can bring in more new viewers and encourage existing subscribers to go back to old videos. I say dial it back on TH-cam and ramp up other ventures.

Hello, congratulations on what you are doing and about the great videos. I would like to ask you why you wash the green vegetables? if you do not wash them, those have a longer life, or not?
