I’m so glad I didn’t get that powerful ambernic that play GameCube games. This one’s much better because it has an HDMI dock. I’m sold. I’ll buy it next month when I have money.
I still look at the new rg556 with delight because of the form factor... but I went with this and I'm still 100% satisfied with the choice. Though, if they made the Retroid Pocket 4 Pro in the 556 form factor it would be amazing
Nice! I have a similar setup however my 8Bitdo Controller has ATROCIOUS input lag 😅 Not sure what to do about that but this device has been a steal otherwise!
Mine usually isn't too bad for gameplay (with cpu maxed and minimal background processes). It does seem to lag sometimes more than others. I am going to test the 8bitdo Ultimate and see if it's any better. However, there is 0% input lag when using actual Wii Controls and a DolphinBar. It's incredible.
I just keep bluetooth on and I dock it, then it switches to the TV and I turn on the 8bitdo controller and it connects right away. I activate the virtual mouse on the controller and switch the input to 8bitdo in the emulator settings. Some emulators don't even require the virtual mouse and settings changes
Does that come with ww installed? Also I'm looking for a device like this I don't know a thing about mods or immolators can someone give me advice on the best out of the box devise
No, this particular handheld is usually sold without any games on it at all and it is up to the user to set it up. However, there are 3rd party sellers that likely sell a Retroid Pocket 4 Pro, loaded with games. Given that you are a novice on this subject. I would recommend an Anbernic handheld like the RG556 or the RG-Cube for ready-to-go gamecube and ps2 play, with games included.
They are not built in, IMO it's significantly easier to mess about with using a PC but it's doable without. I've got the previous gen, NGL I almost regret not just waiting for the 4 Pro.
Lol there's only 4 things actually plugged in there - but nah I don't have the Analog dock. If it's usb-c to hdmi and has enough room on the top - it should work. (I am an Arcade Technician and work with lots of plugs and powestrips)
Link in the description of the main video - I'd recommend watching the "Battle of the Docks" one to know what the pros and cons are. I love this dock though, personally.
Seems like I always had to keep it next to me while using the super Nintendo controller that I usually play with. .. it's been a while since I've used it
@@EmceeIV I have 2 controllers for every system you can play on there except for Sega Master system. My nephew and I, are trying to setup our own arcade in our house. I got the retron 5 to save money and now I almost own all the consoles it allows you to play lol 😀🔫
I don't really notice playing zelda but I want to do some more testing some fighting Games and such. It's very slight... I've also heard that this controller isn't 2.4ghz Bluetooth and one like the 8bitdo ultimate controller might work better
@@EmceeIV thanks for the response brother, let me know how the latency is on fighting games or if you get the “ultimate”controller and test it’s compatibility.
Will do! I ran tests on racing games last night and I didn't notice any lag at all actually... I was absolutely BLOWN AWAY playing Burnout Revenge for the PS2 on a 43" display at 2x resolution too. It looks amazing! I'll test fighting Games today
Depends on the controller mostly. I find my 8bitdo controller is good for most games but I am ordering their ultimate model (supposed to have a better/faster connection). However, when using REAL Nintendo Wii Controls via a DolphinBar it has 0% latency!!
I haven't tried yet but I know you can use XBOX and PS4 controllers. Maybe PS5? Personally, on most occasions I haven't even noticed a delay in button pressing. It definitely is effected by the amount of processes running and such
@GHOST-wh7hj you don't need the dock - BUT - make sure you get something that can charge and output hdmi simultaneously, otherwise you will drain your battery pretty fast
Must've been a settings thing when I decided to make the quick video, as I wasn't actually choosing to play it at the time. I made a full video showcasing the actual play docked though. Plus when I play with actually Nintendo Wii Controls and DolphinBar while this thing is docked - it has absolutely 0% lag and plays like a dream
You should patch the game to have real wide screen. You can also use HD textures. I'm currently playing it and it runs very well ! 😁
how?

It looks surprisingly good on it!

good
I flinched when you had to press down on it so the usb goes in.

How did you make the emulator recognize both the built-in controller and the 8bitdo controller to be recognized as controller 1 in the game?

Hello, I'm new about the dock What it can do? Charging and connect to tv at the same time?
Charge, display 1080p on TV and provides an extra USB port for peripherals like the DolphinBar, which let's you use wii controllers

Yes
Can it connect to 2 controllers and play local multiplayer games?

For less latency maybe try a wired controller and a better hdmi dock or something like that
