The WORD psychologist ... on "LINE" with Jordan Peterson ... can make you feel as though you have had FREE therapy sessions.
If you really think about it ... whether free ... or expensive ... psychologists do not agree with each other's type of therapy. So, it depends "entirely" on which "therapy" you have a DESIRE TO believe.
Example ... this is what the psychologist Jordan Peterson perceives is his version of truth. “Gender identity and gender expression are not valid ideas. They are not true. There is no evidence for it. I don’t know what the options are, if you don’t identify as a man or a woman. There is an idea that there’s a gender section. I think that is an ill-informed opinion. Gender identity and sexual orientation are the same thing. I don’t believe these people, these terms, stand for good things. I think these people use these terms as a pretense that they stand for good things; as a pretense for them to carry on their nefarious activities.”
In contrast … this is what the psychologist Phil McGraw perceives is his version of truth. … “Cleveland Clinic did a study on transgender brains, and when they did the study, they found that the brains of transgender people, their brain is actually more similar to the gender they identify with, than the gender they were assigned at birth. There is an actual brain difference. That is a neurological fact. There are fifty years of empirical evidence here. And there are distinct differences in the transgender brain versus the non-transgender brain.”
From the book … When the Body Says No: The Cost of Hidden Stress … Author … Gabor Maté M.D. Studies in psychology-an art trying desperately to dress itself up in pure science-often find only what the particular researchers have the eyes to see.

@@maryjibara A psychologist with whom someone agrees ... has simply said what the "patient" believed "before" the therapist began to speak.
Are you aware that psychologists prefer the word "patient" ... rather than the word "client?"
The word “patient” suggests that the psychologist is mentally well … and that it is the patient that is mentally ill … which (when it comes down to it) might not always “be the case.”
And are you aware that psychologists do NOT agree with each other's type of counsel.
For instance ... Jordan Peterson does not believe that people can BE transgender.
On the other hand ... the famous television star psychologist Doctor Phil McGraw DOES believe that those who are transgender not only exist … but that “THEY” have every right to respect and dignity.
Concerning that subject of transgender … as a "patient" ... which psychologist's type of "counsel" would YOU support?"

I wish with all my soul that my youngest sister was able to allow herself enough experience to learn how to face her fears and challenges. She was 18, recently married and had a new baby. She was facing depression, debt, conflict, new responsibilities, and many other things which she should not have kept secret.

It took me going through hell to learn to say no. Agreeableness, a terror of confrontation - trauma - and a surprising amount of patience, tolerance and care for others, were definitely part of it.
And then, when my life crashed and burned, I set about looking into why.
And it's as simple as saying no, I don't like this or I don't want to with or without a more or less eloquent elaboration into why not.
I rummaged for years on how to kindly and respectfully explain to x or y why it was I would prefer not to have this or that done to me in such a way, and evidently in that time in which I have not found a such a way to express myself more happens with which I am not pleased about. All along forgetting about myself, my boundaries and my respect for myself.
Decades in, it's no fun learning how to say these things, especially after all the built-up resentment, anger and rage, and I really do not like sounding like a child who can barely string a sentence together.
But I've started, and I seriously hope it'll help me map new ways out of what has frightened me for so long.

The amount of finesse I feel the need to use to discuss any objections I have with others with them makes it clear I have a problem with confrontation. Also working on/through this, but I will be lucky if I'm ever able to address my family on an adult level. I deeply wish to do so, but I've been practicing all this in my outside of family life in the mean time, since family healing may not be possible. Find a memory you think is a cornerstone of some undesirable behaviour you have to confront. Maybe its being shy around your crush in 5th grade and ever since you’re too shy around someone your attracted to and its affecting your ability to form a relationship, next time you see a someone you like go right up to them and start some small talk. Even if all you can do is just ask their name and you walk away awkward, at least you took a strike of a pick axe to that corner stone. Your beginning to form new memories to overwrite the old ones that define that experience.

Jordan, I've heard you talk about trauma and memory quite a few times in your TH-cam videos, but I've never quite understood it the way that I just did in this video, thank you.
I've been very actively working on 'fighting the dragon' for a significant event that occurred in my life two years ago - something that still haunts me today - and hearing you speak about the alarm system was very relatable and beneficial. In all my efforts, at times I have thought that I'm probably overthinking it, probably trying too hard, or going too deep, and maybe I should just stop doing anything about it at all, but every time I do actually do something about it - with a great deal of effort and discomfort - I come out the other side and realise I've figured something out, even if it's small, and it's started to put together the 'map' you talk about, and I'm a little less haunted by it all. Not only that, but it has often started a chain reaction of events in my life elsewhere, too, and usually for the better.
I've realised I've faced something difficult enough that I'm willing to go to a place where most people don't want to go; the darkest place, where I hope to find the brightest light. Your words have helped give language to the things I knew I needed to do but didn't quite know how. Thank you, for continuing to share your knowledge on what you have learned so far, it has been invaluable.

If there's something I learned from life is that confronting bullying is an esencial part of growing, a hard way you learn to strength yourself against malevolence. No one like it, that's for sure, but you cannot hide for ever from that neither. I know it could be harder for some than others and in some cases that could even get to the point to traumatised some, but you'll need to face the thing somehow someday anyway.

Maleficent is a portmanteau of malevolent and beneficent in that the bad act will somehow result in good.
Perhaps drastic acts aren't necessary but for us to know something is good, we have to know what the alternatives are.
Hatred and love require energy but indifference is desensitised void. Neither hatred nor indifference is desirable but I believe one can only know true goodness if one has touched the void and experienced the bad.
It's unfortunate that the bad can lurk in our memories but the reminders serve as warnings of the unpredictability or perceived threats so that we strive to stay in a safe, constructive and meaningful area of goodness, where we build villages of peace and prosperity in our mental landscapes, seeing the moments of sadness and woe as periods of bad weather.
Sometimes, it will rain, hail, thunder and snow. Sometimes, your village will have been pillaged or wrecked...but it's still your village with its unique history. You can abandon it to be a ghost town or you can rebuild, welcome and decorate until another season of prosperity.
The weather won't always be good but your wisdom through experience will support you through those times.

I grew up in Poland where I never grew up with the concept of “bullying”. After coming to the UK because I had no concept of this, whenever I was faced with what the west considers a “bully”, I learned to solve the issue without parental/teacher intervention, instead of victimising myself and running for help to adults.
I often think that this is why I could never be bullied. There were plenty of attempts to tear me down by fellow girls in school but I’ve never had an issue in de-escalating the issue. I grew u poor too so it’s not pike I wasn’t an easy target.

To teach me to fear god. Well after 47 years on this planet I faced that fear years ago and it will never hold that power over me again. I found out what and who I am. I AM. Tat Tvam Asi. I told god to get bent and my life has never been more beautiful. I walk this beautiful earth knowing exactly who and what I am and not many can say that. Namaste my brothers and sisters. A Life of Service
I was born to grow into a hunchback man
    I’ve been starved beaten denigrated
And left by the side of the road
    Friend
There’s nothin’ you can tell me
To make me change my mind
They sell their minds and their bodies
    And all their earthly time
I write poems to the future
    Where I won’t be
    They left me alone
    My mind is free
    It’s lies
No matter what the books all say
    They can afford to help
    They spend it all away
    You are the descendants
Of the wicked and the weak
They hide their shame and lack of courage
They spit venom when they speak
    They were born to slave
    By someone else’s hand
    All they ever knew
    Was getting screwed once again
    All bound in chains
They breed babies for the streets
    They sign papers
They sell their lives for their meat
    All the debt slave demons
    All with mouths to feed
    They smile right at you
    While they watch you bleed
I was born a hunchback baby
I was adopted off at birth
    I walked through the pain
Down here on prison planet Earth
This poem is for the future
They’d never let me carve it in stone
    So I’m hiding it here
    Where they’ll never know
    All demons
    All bound in chains
When I get back to Heaven
    I might not volunteer again
