This Is Easily the Most Important Speech Jordan Peterson Has Ever Done

  • Dave Rubin of “The Rubin Report” shares what he believes might be Jordan Peterson’s best speech ever. This the closing speech of the Alliance for Responsible Citizenship (ARC) conference in London. The conference was attended by 1500 invitees from over 70 countries, including dignitaries, politicians, and media people, all aiming to solve current global issues. Peterson's speech delved into the concept of identity and its connection to faith and responsibility. He argued that a proper identity is the union of faith and responsibility, and it is through service to others that we find meaning in life. He criticized the current trend of teaching young people to focus on their immediate needs and self-interest, arguing that this leads to misery. Instead, he advocates for a life of responsibility and sacrifice, which he believes leads to a meaningful and fulfilling life. He ended his speech by encouraging the audience to adopt this perspective and use it to make a positive impact on the world.

In each and every area of your life that have experienced loss, may God fill each area with His presence, comfort and strength. After his suffering and loss, Job said: "I had heard of You by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees You." (Job 42:5). It's in our greatest loss and suffering that we finally see God.

I'm a registered nurse. There is nothing that I've done in my life that is more fulfilling, and, that is more healing- for me - more than my patients!! Doing this takes me out of my own selfish wants, needs and desires. And my experience as a nurse is right on point to what Jordan is talking about. I became a nurse to make a living, not to be praised as a wonderful person. But despite my own selfishness, my purpose is no longer the money but knowing I'm helping others get through another brutal day in this brutal life!! Deciding to be responsible for another person's well being is a powerful way out of chaos. Thank you Dave and thank you Dr. Peterson for reminding me how I'm supposed to live.

Completely agree. I'm a software developer and I often sit there thinking: when I'm dead and buried, and my product has long been consigned to the dustbin, precisely no-one will ever think "that guy made a difference". It's a very empty feeling. It's odd that as I near the end of my professional career, I'm thinking about things I can do to contribute something useful.

Jordan Peterson is a moral basket-case. He believes that anything that seems to have to do with the Bible is good, without question. He is a psychologist, but can't see the Evil Skeletor inside Netanyahu? I met Bibi many times when I worked at the UN in the 1980s, and he came across to me as a lying psychopath. Why didn't Jordan pick up on that, with all his training? Because Jordan has his head up the Bible's ass, and anything that seems to be associated with the Bible is good. It wasn't me who took the hardships and came out the better person....it was him, my son did it. I was only on the sidelines cheering his self made wins. Give credit where it is due. We prepare our children for the day they can live and thrive without us.

    • @independentinstallations8419

Yes your son has learned to thrive despite the hardships he has faced and that is either a stroke of good luck or its the result of you accepting the responsibility to prepare him to exist and thrive in the world without you. There are many people growing up today who's parents either one or both did not accept the responsibility at the expense of leaving this Childs existence and their ability to thrive in the face of challenges up to luck. We hear this man speaking what sounds like common sense but today these ideas aren't so common and most certainly good idea to remind us that there is no difference between thinking about ourselves and misery. I dont believe he would include that idea if he was promoting that we take credit for our children's wins.

Jordan Peterson’s video’s, speeches, and lectures helped to change the trajectory of my life. As a once misinformed and misguided female adolescent I was almost rendered completely hopeless after being fed poison; whether it was through social media, toxic family upbringing, teachers, and so on. His clear and concise way of putting things and passionate expertise really struck me. To see someone get emotional at times talking about the struggles young men face in modern society, or going down the fallout of having a devouring mother (which was a story very close to home), all felt like the hug I so desperately needed to not feel so alone in this world. His voice is a voice for hope in these times. Truly, sir, I know you may never see this- but thank you. I am so grateful I made it through to the other side.

More than you know my childhood was emotionally stunted with little affection, over control, little social interaction, depression. It took years and the help of an advanced fraternity brother to open my eyes about the human personality, another 10 years to forgive my parents. As a believer in karma and reincarnation, I understood the rationale for the emotional struggles. Big changes dont occur unless something big prompts them. I actually joined the army during Viet Nam War to escape my bad life and I came out mature, calm, motivated. My life continued to be a series of shocks, tests, disappointments, but I discovered the world of Spirit, studied metaphysics, found my own understanding of God and life. Personal relationships were not in my life plan so I remained alone, intellectual and wondering, observing people more than relating to them. I think Peterson is the answer to a lost, confused generation who need much guidance.@@kippered

He is a noble channel for Divine messaging and his clarity, insight and depth are spellbinding and sincere and touch hearts heretofore unreached because he is able to embrace being one of us. He does not speak "at us", he includes himself and presents us with what's possible for a human being to emanate into their world at many levels. Its easier to keep the jhabitual unk and get lost in the trashy values of contemporary culture, which we are being reminded to sacrifice ... which in truth is hardly not only no sacrifice at all, but an honor and privilege to recognize and set into motion!!!
