As soon as adult Franklin and Valeria Richards arrive on the scene, they are faced by the Mad Celestials. But Franklin is not one to back down from a challenge. Knowing what's at stake, he summons all of his incredible powers and wages an epic battle against the Celestials. As the two sides clash, the very fabric of the universe shakes. Franklin unleashes a wave of energy that warps the Celestials across the cosmos, leaving them stunned and disoriented. But Franklin is not finished yet. With the Celestials momentarily distracted, he springs into action, unleashing his ultimate weapon: a trump card that will determine the outcome of the battle once and for all. And Son Son SON.... You are not ready for this one!

The team debuted in The Fantastic Four #1 (cover dated November 1961), helping usher in a new level of realism in the medium. It was the first superhero team created by artist/co-plotter Jack Kirby and editor/co-plotter Stan Lee, who developed a collaborative approach to creating comics with this title.

Rob x Jonathan Hickman stories will always be Beyond Omega Levels of Hype. I know we always get happy when rob gets excited but man o man you can’t say you don’t get hyped when rob gets hyped.

I agree this is the greatest moments in Marvel comics. I wish they could make this an arc in the MCU. Even if it takes us 10 years to get there.
Definitely one of the real well written stories from Marvel.
It would take a lot of time. To have the most impact, you would need Galactus to be a big threat in an earlier movie, so that Franklin calling him would be impactful. And considering how that went last time, I think they will avoid it. They will probably work this story in, somehow, though. They have already changed some stories around successfuly.

@@clintonleonard5187 Agreed it would take a long time. The good news is that they are bringing the Fantastic Four and X-Men back. It could take some time to develop that arc but we already have established the multiverse and celestials. If you have established the celestials, your next step is Galactus. If you have the multiverse, you can introduce the mad celestials. There is alot of stuff they can cut out such as the Inhumans, Kree and Annihulus to stream line the entire story. The core story is just so amazing.
Rob for almost 10 years you have built excitement in my life going over some of my favorite stories created. I appreciate you Fr you got me through a lot of hard times.

I've waited all week for this story and for a moment I felt like a 12 year old boy picking up the next issue of my favorite comic when it first comes out. For the fantastic four to make as much of an impact as possible into the MCU the best moments of this series needs to be put into the next big event of the MCU otherwise I don't think movie goers who arent die hard comic fans will garner enough respect for the fantastic 4 but these moments transcend through the pages onto the screen pure relatable emotion.

I reckon it's more about a father making the choice of actually being there... Being a father. So many go away for work, to make things for the world, but they leave behind the best thing they could make- their family. By choosing his family, this Reed was able to create a great son who would end up saving them all because of it.

This is still one of my favorite stories in comics. It had everything from family drama to action. It was great. Glad you remastered it.

I don’t often get moved by a comic story, but the panels where Reed tells Franklin to not accept trying, and being ok to be afraid, then flying. That made me look up from the page and say to myself “damn, that was awesome”.👏
I love this story, and listening to Rob tell it is just awesome. The energy and excitement in his voice gets me pumped man! Love it!

As a parent that's one of the hardest things to understand. Your children's entire life you do your damn best to raise great kids to be great adults, and there comes a point when you have to step back and let them go because you did your best and you have to watch them live their life.
I LOVE this story SO much! This moment is the reason I started collecting this series and the rest of Jonathan Hickman's stories. As a parent, this is one of the most important things I tell my kids: It's okay to fail, but it's not okay if you don't try at all. THANK YOU for bringing it to life with such enthusiasm! 🖤🖤🖤
There are so many top billing moments (made just as special bc of how Rob relates them to us) that are as monumental and multiversal as this to something as street level but impacting as Peter Parker beating Kingpin to a pulp in his own cell. This, definitely should be touted as one of THE greatest moments in marvel history.

This was a great story, one of my faves. Franklin and his Herald, take the Celestials DOWN! The second time child Franklins power was used to resurrect Galactus, it was also done when they fought Abraxas.
Every time he does a fake cliff hanger. It restores a little bit of my faith in humanity. God bless Rob.

Greatest thing in DC comics is KIngdom Come. This is the greatest thing in Marvel comics. A multiversal story that is really about a father and son (and grand father, mother, and daughter). Simply brilliant.
