I did 2 deployments in my 4 years in the Corps. Straight out of I.T.S.(Infantry Training School) I went to 2/9 a unit getting ready to deploy and the good thing is since I deployed quck I wasn't treated like a Boot too long. Bad thing was all the pre deployment shit. The MACRES HUMP and all the prep work for it. Got out in 89 and I got called up for Desert Storm in 91. Enjoy your last deployment at least you won't be a Boot.
@@ozone1894 I don't know really. I'm a Gunner and got my fair share of hazing. He'll as long as you're in the bush and you are a Boot. Then hazung in coming at some point. Hazing and Firewatch.
@@jdmopaw it was over 30 years ago, lol. It was mostly out in the field most of the hazing took place but in garrison as well. Nothing really too bad if your Marines like you. Racing up and down hills naked wearing only a gas mask and a machine gun. Psychological situps, put a dent in a dime, and pink belly. It's really endless and no way to prepare. Just take it for what it is. It's Tradition and The Corps is big on Tradition. Take the lumps like a man and bond with your Marines. They will give you plenty of shit💩💩 but they will teach you how to survive. Good Luck being a Rock N Rolla.
