At the very least, I now grasp the concept of leverage.
Creating wealth and financial freedom isn't as tough as many people believe. Building wealth and remaining financially stable indefinitely is a lot easier with the appropriate information. Participating in financial programs and products is the only true approach to make a high income and remain affluent indefinitely.

Most people simply enter the foreign exchange market without comprehending matters like this. The first stage in building money is determining your goals and risk tolerance, which you may do on your own or with the assistance of a financial counselor who works with a verified Finance agency. And also you can learn the facts about saving and investing and create a clear plan, you should be able to acquire financial security over time and enjoy the benefits of income management.

I've been making more than six figures passively investing with John Desmond Heppolette, who showed me the right community to join and grow mv finances and I don't have to do much work. It doesn't matter if the market is crashing, I will always make returns.

The 85% of funds managers underperforming the index provided is for any single year. More impressively and importantly is to look at that figure over 5, 10, and 20 years, where it increases to 90, 97, and 99%. That makes for a more than compelling case for index investing, and how very rare the likes of Peter Lynch truly are.

@@billcresta Most of the people railing against passive investing also just happen to be active managers themselves. It is wise to look for a fiduciary CFP when starting out. I went with James Fletcher Brennan and I have had awesome experiences with him. Going from $25k to 90000 in 8 months. I can say that's over-performing the index and S&P 500

I’ve had majority of my holdings in tech stocks and irrespective of market changes, I’ve done pretty well especially with apple’s P/E(price to earnings ratio) gaining over 30% this past decade, now my questions is what stocks do you think will be the next apple in terms of growth for the next decade.

    • @BiancaSherly-qt6sb
      @BiancaSherly-qt6sb 6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

It might be difficult finding the next apple within the tech stock sector, apple has performed way better than the others, maybe look outside of tech stocks.

well things are different now, same market strategies applied over last decade wouldn’t apply to the current market, so to actually figure out how to outperform the market and stay afloat for the next decade, you should reach out to a financial advisor, that’s how I’ve managed to gain over $450k in profit this past couple years

Impressive video. I started a bit late (graduated from my doctorate program at age 30 in 2016 with 170k in school loan debt). Managed to pay off my debt by 2019 and currently have a house and 250k total in investments (combo of profit share, 401k and a brokerage account). I'm not very knowledgeable in investing, so I just have my investing currently in index funds mainly voo, but have been putting a lot into schd the past few months. I dunno if that's the optimal strategy, but psychologically it is very set it and forget it, and prevents me from obsessing over individual stock performance.

You need to hire a financial advisor to help you diversify your portfolio by including Mutual Funds, Etf's, the 11 GICS groups, inflation-indexed bonds, and stocks of companies with reliable cash flows rather than growth stocks, where prices were based on future prospective earnings.

Naftali Horowitz also has good videos on this. IMHO excellent books: Reboot your portfolio, Dan Bartolotti, Millionaire Teacher, Andrew Hallam and Beat The Bank, Larry Bates. All are Canadian but the books esp the first two apply to US and other countries, and all go into detail about index investing and hidden costs. Excellent books but prob won’t be covered by most on YT as they simplify things too much and make doing DIY too easy. Cheers

Instead of a total market index fund I decided to break it out each to a low cost S&P 500 fund, a mid-cap index, a small cap index and a total market international index. Divided between my SEP & Roth along with low cost value and blend indexes. The other 30% of the portfolio is a mix of short and intermediate duration low cost bond indexes. There's some slight overlap on the stock portion but I've enjoyed watching the difference results especially last year. I do a rebalance usually in the first quarter by lump sum and never sell off. Obviously way more complicated than it needs to be however no matter what is happening it's fun to see the effects on each fund. Thanks for all the work you put into the channel. I have shared many of your lessons with my son who has just started his investing journey. Good stuff!!

Although VFIAX is the oldest index fund, it is the one I have (almost) exclusively. I agree that the Vanguard Total Stock Market Index Fund is better because it covers the broader market, but it is only marginally so because the preponderance of their investments are identical. In fact, if you look at the charts of the two since 2001, they are almost identical

Glad I found your channel. I am trying to decide now between buying SP500 or Total Market via Index Fund or ETF. Still not sure, on the tax implications and what makes them different from a tax standpoint. I am not fully sure on the automated nature of Index funds vs. non automated on ETFS. Ugh. Not sure how to proceed. Specifically right now, looking at VTSAX/VFIAX vs. VTI/VOO. Or should I go fidelity? It's all very confusing and I want to start right away! I have some individual stocks in a TD ameritrade now but want to manage it more long-term and passive.

The answer to why there are two index funds is that the s&p 500 came first before computers were common place and trying to do a total stock market index fund would have been prohibitively difficult to do, at least cheaply. With computers so cheap that we wear them on our wrists and throw them away like they are litter, the dynamic has changed. I still have my first computer from 1980 and it is large and has a whopping 16 kilobytes of RAM... now get off my lawn :)

obviously only Tae can answer for himself, but I would say that when it comes to mutual funds the platforms provide no expense investing in their local funds, so if you are on a certain broker you should likely use their funds - if you are doing ETFs then it doesn't matter

Because at the current time, you cannot automatically invest in ETFs. (It would be cool though, and it may happen some day.) Tae mentioned automatically investing early in the video. I'm sure that he would feel that any broad-based low-cost ETF would be fine if you could auto invest (or are willing to do the extra work), just as any broad-based low-cost index mutual fund would work.

If you are looking for more in depth factor discussion look up Rational Reminder and Common Sense Investing. This channel is valuable as a general resource for beginners but SCV and factor tilts are a bit beyond that scope.

@@doug2731 I subscribe to RR already I'll look into Common Sense though, TY.
And I agree this was the first channel I trusted and subscribed to about finance, but soon found I wanted something deeper

    Hello,
I am currently investing through Vanguard UK. My portfolio is the following: 55 % VUSA ETF DIV (S&P 500), 20% VWRP ACU (FTSE All World UCITS ETF), 15 % VHYL DIV ( FTSE All World High Divident Yield UCITS) & 10% only Apple Stock). I am investing each month, once a month ( small amounts, total 200 eur/month divided through %). My goal is 30 years (long term)
What can I change in my portfolio? Or am I on a good path? What can I add/remove and is the ratio okay? My goal is 10-15% YTD and to also have some diversification to market outside USA.
    I am 28 years old
I would apreciate your help and advice.
    Thanks a lot!

Hey. I might be wrong I'm sure they'll be someone more insightful on this but your investments seems to have a lot of overlap in the U.S. Diversification is key as they say.

Buffet says (w/o seeing the will no way to verify) he left instructions that his heirs incl wife’s money to be held in 90% SP500 fund (Vanguard) and 10% Short term Bond index. From what I’ve learned bond funds w/mixed long and short term good govt maybe better. I would add equity fund for US, your country, and int’l plus one with sml % to overweight in innovation and or EMs (esp India, S. Africa, China) to 2030. But that’s me. Simple is best if still in building/working phase of life.
