- Back in Vermont today at Carinthia parks at Mount Snow! Took a rest day yesterday and listened to my body, then today took extra self care… workout, sauna, stretch, and got to the mountain ready to hike and learn some tricks I am not the best at. Only way to get better at something is to have self awareness and put those extra hours of work in, but make sure you know the difference between burnout and being a b****!!! Thanks for posting this! It’s nice to see the real side of the grind. I spent 4 hours yesterday working on a front board on a long down tube(trying to land back ti goofy) and couldn’t get it. I’m 31 and new to riding park/jibbing. It can be pretty humbling sometimes. Watching you have a similar experience is motivation to keep trying, so thank you!

That’s a really good point Casey. Sometimes I’m not feeling it and instead of pushing through it I sit it out and end up missing an opportunity to improve. Usually when I’m tired and the body needs to relax I get more juiced but sometimes that doesn’t go well and you end up getting hurt. So yeah, knowing when to push and when not to push is important.

Come to New York this winter should be a good winter for any resort. Usually not great on the east coast you should do Big Snow, Mountain creek, Windham, Hunter on the way to vermont

We were at Big Snow yesterday but we'll be hitting Mtn Creek in January fosho
Creek is 15 minutes from my house and the hour and a half drive up to Hunter is worth it

@@luxe8746I'm from SJ and if I'm driving that far north, I'd rather hit a Poconos resort or keep driving another hour or two until I hit hunter or mount snow. Bellearye is also a favorite of mine in the Catskills.

for the gate, i visit a bunch of architect offices that have these. hit the help button, tell them you are there to meet with/drop off/pick up from a business or person there. the help button will call someone who's monitoring the gate and can remotely open it for you! hope you get access somewhere!!

Committed to goin up and hiking park at squaw on thanksgiving wasn’t really feelin it but drive up there anyway hiked the down tube and was super stoked I went and worked on what I wasn’t as comfortable with! You motivate me to get out there man even when none of my homies are down to rip!

Ford Ranger: if you find someone to pull off that seized tire and then the brake drum underneath, the brakes will auto-fix itself and you'll be able to drive the Ranger again. Getting the drum off will be tough but once its off you are good to go and can put it back on and drive again.

I agree sometimes you got to push through it and then after you're happy you did. I just started a terrain park job at a vail resort in NH. It's not my first job doing this, but I am a little leery of Vail and thought you might know some of the guys at Mt snow or other Vail mts doing that. I was told that there is some no jumping rule outside of the park and we are not allowed to hit the features unless we are a "certified" tester and then even if we are certified we shouldn't be practicing any tricks, no spins just 50/50... And if we want to do tricks we got to clock out.
IDK if the supervisor who used to work at Northstar is actually going to uphold these rules or not saying 'yeah you could get fired for breaking those rules' and on the other hand 'saying I won't even be in the park during the day' since he'll be grooming. Anyways got another 3 days coming up this weekend to see how it goes. Any thoughts?

If the ranger wouldnt go forward but would go backward, I think those had drum brakes on the rear...chances are one of the springs for the shoes snapped and its fully engaging it when you go forward and does the opposite when you let off. i'd say its worth investigating if you have some time!

@@CaseyWillax for the 360 out surely it would be easier to stop looking under your shoulder unwrap your body than pop so you can spin with your upper body but it’s way less cool than what you are doing! 🫡

most likely the parking brake or the wheel cylinder is seized. A little brake service possibly some new brake cylinders and its good to go. And the tick sounds like lilfter tick caused by the engine just sitting and not running for so long the oil bleeds out not really a problem just super annoying
