Rissa and Quan, this is a grownup conversation. Communication is a mature love language. When you spoke on do not elevate your voice, do not say hurtful things, do not let it escalade where you can't hear one another and you do not have to say anything but marinate on what was said then speak about it later when you both are able to sit down like grown people. Great advice for couples and people in general. This is how you love one another. Also, this builds a strong relationship and marriage.

Actually, this shows maturity. Great points made. Communication is the KEY to being in a happy/healthy relationship. I've been married for 33 years, and found that whatever we argue about, we break off for about 15 mins to just chill/collect our thoughts, talk about it and afterwards it's a done deal. Alls good!

Very good advice on that. Arguments should never be the last type of communication for the day. Don't go to sleep mad at each other. Always figure out what the problem is, talk it out and apologize at the end of it. Especially if something is said that shouldn't have been said.

I think one of the important things in relationships is preferring one another over yourself. I loved in one of your videos seeing how Quan simply got up without fussing or complaining while watching his boxing but showed his care for you @Rissa by getting up and leaving to get you something to eat because you simply had a “craving.” C’mon! How to avoid arguing with your parents
My husband & I have been together since we were 17(almost 12 years) & arguments over petty things, things you just cannot change & differences will ruin your relationship. While I believe communication is a big key, listening to understand instead of react is one of the biggest! You & your spouse may not agree on everything(nobody does), but you can still express your opinion & understand why the other feels that way then go on about the conversation.

Our relationship haven’t been perfect, but with God being in the center of our relationship it has held strong. Our love for each other have grown even more over the years because it has been tested and proven with time.
