Its most basic powers allow one to TELEPORT themselves and others any place they can picture in their mind regardless of distance or preventive measures such as walls or spells. It can increase the speed of the user. Its more powerful abilities allow one to appear in multiple places at once or altering distance between objects. Red Skull isn't dead.
#9 - I always thought that Ronan's hammer acted like a "surge protector", keeping a majority of the power within it and that power could, in turn, be called forth by Ronan when he choices. When he first held the gem, you could see that he was basically torn apart by the power, until he placed the gem inside the weapon. IDK someone will probably comment saying how it actually works.

All of my knowledge of Ultron comes from the cartoons admittedly, but in the cartoons he wasn't making sarcastic comments, cracking jokes, and he was a lot stronger. I remember from Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes when Thor's hammer hit him and he had no reaction, or in Next Avengers when he beat Hulk in only a few seconds with minimal difficulty.

Two Face's dead was useful cause It showed that Joker isn't as crazy as he seemed. He proved that even good men can turn bad with a little caos. And after all his participation in the last movie would be pointless because he would not have a place on it.
Willem Dafoe's Norman Osborn/Green Goblin was actually amazing. He died in a meaningful way in Spider-man 1 and the consequences are felt in Spider-man 2 and 3 but Dafoe played it so well I always wished he would come back. Happy to see him coming to Justice League but I feel like the Norman Osborn character was such a good match for him.
The "Everything Wrong With X-Men: First Class" said it best in response to Shaw telling Darwin to adapt to this bundle of Shaw-energy: "Is there any reason why he couldn't?" Thus, I still hope Darwin shows back up. I like the character and I like the actor, who played an excellent villain on "The Blacklist."
The thing about Darwin is that in the comics, he literally did survive having his entire body destroyed (though it took him over a decade in-universe to come back from that). Unfortunately they probably won't do that in the X-Men movies, but it would totally make sense if they did.

Red Skull wasn't killed, he was transported away, the Tessaract (the blue cube you see him holding) is the Space Stone, one of 6 Infinity Stones Thanos is going to need come Avengers: Infinity War. So it's possible he'll be back then. Also Killian wasn't the real Mandarin, in the Marvel One Shot All Hail The King we find out that the REAL Mandarin IS out there and Trevor Slattery is about to meet him in a very non friendly way.
with regards to the Mandarin, there was a short scene featuring Ben Kingsley in prison. his cellmate tells him "the Mandarin requires that any imposters show his visage respect" and his fate is left ambiguous. Killian is not the real Mandarin.

The Mandarin is not dead. There's a short film Marvel created after IM 3 due to fan backlash in which they reveal the real Mandarin is still out there. & most importantly, Red Skull ain't dead either. You know it, I know it, we all do.
But the Mandarin actually does exist though in the MCU. In the Marvel One-Shot 'All Hail the King' the fake Mnadarin was taken from prison to meet the real one.
In my headcanon Ultron is definitely still alive. Damaged, licking his wounds, shut out from the Web, but very much alive. I mean, think about it - how did Vision know that the Ultron unit he was speaking with was the last one? Wouldn't it make the PERFECT distraction to send one towards the Avengers under the pretense of being "the last one" while another finds a safe spot to hide? I mean, come on, this is Ultron, the guy whose whole shtick is that you can't really kill him or stop him permanently, only delay the Age of Ultron. He's definitely going to show up in the future when the Avengers are fighting Thanos or another cosmic threat and let them know that they've got a friend in him (in a Disney song, of course).
I doubt it. He was blocked off from being able to transport his consciousness to another host, and his last body was destroyed. I'd be down to see him return, but I think it's highly unlikely

I still remember how I felt when they killed off Ronan the Accuser. I was even rooting for Ronan because I didn't want him to die, and I didn't want it to end.
Thanos had to have learned somehow that the Tesseract was on Earth. The Tesseracts whole gimic is transportation even though Hydra used it as a power source, Loki uses it to open a gateway for the Chitari. So how does Thanos learn about Earth? The Tesseract teleports the Red Skull right into Thanos's grasp in The first Cap movie. That's my theory anyways.
We agree! Death has always been very pronounced and definite in the comic book world. They would have been more explicit and showy about it if they weren't thinking of him coming back.
Basically it's a sound theory but let me say this. Thanos is old, really old and he traveled a lot thru the universe and gained a lot of knowledge. He is also a very powerful being with an extreme intellect - the guy is not dumb. He could have found a way to track down the energy signature of the Infinity gems/stones or at least the one that are not protected or shielded by something nullifying their energy signature. He could have pinpoint the locations of some of them. The Tesseracts didn't seem to be protected by anything that could have prevented its energy to be detected. The Mind Gem that was part of Loki's staff belong to Thanos and he entrusted it into Loki's hands to find the Space Gem/Stone which is what the Tesseracts is. However as it's explained in Guardians of the Galaxy the Infinity Gems cannot be hold by normal beings because they are too powerful and would destroy anyone who touches them directly. The only way is use them in non-living objects like a staff to use the power of the Gem. That's why Red Skull could be dead because he directly hold the Tesseracts in his hand. In order to use the full power of the Infinity Gems they all have to be hold together and that's why Thanos has the Infinity Gautlet, without it he won't be able to sustain the power of the 6 Gems combined. But it doesn't mean he can't return - Marvel made it a habit to bring back dead characters. Besides there might be a litle hope because as far as i remember Red Skull was wearing leather gloves when he took the Tesseracts so maybe, just maybe, he could still be alive somewhere in the universe. Lets cross our fingers for his return because it would be a shame to not see more of Red Skull.

Crossbones died WAY too early in the MCU. He survived having a goddamn building dropped on his face only to return in full iconic ensemble for the first 10 minutes of Civil War. This guy killed Captain America in the comics! What the fuck?!

Did you know that Nolan's third Dark Knight installment was to originally have the Joker stand on trial while Two-face go on a rampage in Gotham basically making the Joker and Two-Face the main villians of the movie? It was later shelved following Ledger's untimely death and featured Bane instead.
Red Skull isn't dead. The Tesseract (which looked like it killed him) houses the infinity gem of space. It allows the user to exist in any or all locations, move any object anywhere throughout reality and warp or rearrange space. It may also act as kind of a wormhole. When you watch the scene with Red Skull "dying", you'll notice the room shows various corners of the cosmos. Red Skull is simply pulled into another world.
We never see Red Skull "die"; if anything, he disintegrates in what could be considered a method of teleportation (especially in regard to other Marvel movies).
Red Skulls death in the first Captain America movie was a little ambiguous because I believe Marvel was going to continue using his character in future films but Hugo Weaving was not interested in reprising his role and I guess Marvel didn't want to cast a new actor to play him. The circumstances might be the same for Ronan the Accuser as well.
I don't know if Star Wars applies here, but killing off Mace Windu in that way was a mistake. He'd be a great addition in the Rebel series or as someone whom Luke went to study with in the upcoming movies.
It's currently being debated on whether Mace Windu survived that fall. I forgot who, but people who are apart of the Star Wars crew teased that he might still be alive. You should look that up
Not necessarily. The Rebel series takes place after Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith, so if he survived, he'd still be rather young. If he were to make an appearance in Episode 8, he'd be older but not ridiculously old by the Star Wars timeline. During Episode 3 and 4, Obi Wan appears to be in his 30's and then presumably 50-60 range. Mace Windu appears to be around the same age, thus he'd be old but still able to teach some things to a young Luke.
I saw the video and it's quite interesting. I think having Mace Windu in the Rebel series, which occurs between episodes 3 and 4 would be great. He definitely died too soon and can still contribute towards the storyline.

The actual Mandarin wasn't killed off. In the Blue Ray release there was a Marvel short where a reporter interviews Trevor (I think that was his name) and it turns out that (to para-phrase) "the man whose name you stole wants it back." This implies that there is a real Mandarin and that he could, possibly, show up.
This is why Marvel Studios should ignore the fans when they say "If the characters don't die then the stakes were never that high" I would've love to see more Quicksilver
I always wondered about the Abomination. Hulk was going to strangle him to death wiht the chain until Betty screamed for him to stop but then Hulk threw Abby to the floor, stepped on him, and gave a leg stopping crack to his rib cage which could have signified his death. At the very least, the character died in the Incredible Hulk right when he got interesting and he never was revived for an amazing Masters of Evil encounter the Avengers really needs.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only who has said this but clearly, no one stays dead in the Marvel Comics movie. Two examples, Loki in the first Thor movie and Pepper Potts in Iron Man 3. Loki basically fell into the abyss after the destruction of the Biforst. Thor even said so himself in the first Avengers movie that he mourned his 'death'. Add to the fact that Hemidall and his all-seeing gaze didn't see him until Loki reappeared in the Avengers movie, that creates the solid belief that Loki was dead. When Pepper Potts fell into basically a bonfire from a height that was easily not survivable, in Iron Man 3, even the Mandarian accepted the fact she was dead and he gave her the same serum that gave him his powers. Sure she showed up minutes later alive and ass-kicking but everyone including the audience made the assumption that she was dead.
Do I seriously have to explain Ronan's death again? He was strong enough to *wield* the Power Stone, but when the Guardians used it *against* him, he wasn't strong enough to survive it.
Decent list. All I would say is Ronan wasn't killed by the 2nd rocket attack but by the power stone wielded by the Guardians. Also as many have already pointed out Guy Pearce was pretending to be the Mandarin and was not associated with the "real" 10 rings group seen in the previous Iron man films.
I agree with most of your list but I'm okay with Electro, Mandarin (Killian), and Goblin #1 dying since the turn they made for the Mandarin was kind of dumb and the Goblin had already been overdone in the Tobey McGuire Spiderman movies. As far as DCEU (of which I am no expert), I'm assuming the Dark Knight set of movies is completely separate since Ra's is actually in TV show The Arrow (or at least, was). Could a DC fan explain this Ra's Al Ghul paradoxy thingy to me? Seriously though, this is one of the Top 10 Lists of anything comic book movies that I actually agree with for once. Red Skull & Ronan definitely killed off way too soon, along with the others you mentioned. Great job!

Red Skull isn't definitively dead. The Tesseract was shown to open portals through space so he is possibly alive out in the universe somewhere. The Mandarin never died as he never existed. Killian created him as propaganda to distract the world from his plans.
Venom, from Spiderman 3. I know, there weren't any more of those movies, but still, killing Venom, after just ONE movie, when Venom himself was only in the second half (if that)? No. Too soon. WAY too soon.
I think a good addition to the list would be Jigsaw in Punisher: War Zone. True, Mr. Skull Tee's films never seem to yield a sequel. However if I'm not wrong, Mr. Puzzle Face is one of the few foes of Frank's that seemed to elude death. At least longer than most of Castle's enemies. Might've made a good Round 2 fight where he kills Billy after another knockdown drag out battle. Perhaps denoting that Punisher has been doing his thing since their first war. And with The Beaut losing his brother James the first time, Jigsaw could be looking for some dark vengeance.

1. Did you even watch these movies or just google characters who died in movies? 2. It's explained fairly well in Guardians that prolonged exposure to the stone is what causes powerful beings to die. Ronan is powerful and could briefly hold the stone (for all of 3 seconds) before putting it in his weapon is different than having it's power shot at you and through your whole body. 3. Red Skull isn't even necessarily dead. He was sucked into one of the infinity stones and could easily be in there. (See Adam Warlock in the Infinity Gauntlet story). A big reason why he hasn't been brought back, Hugo Weaving hated the make up. So it's entirely possible they will eventually get him back with either a different actor or enough payola for Weaving to deal with it. 4. The Real Mandarin wasn't Killian. Marvel addressed this with the one-shot for Thor the Dark World, All Hail the King. Slattery ends up broken out of jail and kidnapped by the REAL Ten Rings run by the REAL Mandarin. The real Mandarin still exists and could play a role down the line.

Willem Dafoe's Norman Osborn/Green Goblin was actually amazing. He died in a meaningful way in Spider-man 1 and the consequences are felt in Spider-man 2 and 3 but Dafoe played it so well I always wished he would come back. Happy to see him coming to Justice League but I feel like the Norman Osborn character was such a good match for him.

The "Everything Wrong With X-Men: First Class" said it best in response to Shaw telling Darwin to adapt to this bundle of Shaw-energy: "Is there any reason why he couldn't?" Thus, I still hope Darwin shows back up. I like the character and I like the actor, who played an excellent villain on "The Blacklist."
The thing about Darwin is that in the comics, he literally did survive having his entire body destroyed (though it took him over a decade in-universe to come back from that). Unfortunately they probably won't do that in the X-Men movies, but it would totally make sense if they did.

Red Skull wasn't killed, he was transported away, the Tessaract (the blue cube you see him holding) is the Space Stone, one of 6 Infinity Stones Thanos is going to need come Avengers: Infinity War. So it's possible he'll be back then. Also Killian wasn't the real Mandarin, in the Marvel One Shot All Hail The King we find out that the REAL Mandarin IS out there and Trevor Slattery is about to meet him in a very non friendly way.
with regards to the Mandarin, there was a short scene featuring Ben Kingsley in prison. his cellmate tells him "the Mandarin requires that any imposters show his visage respect" and his fate is left ambiguous. Killian is not the real Mandarin.

Marvel/Disney has been watering down great villains from the Marvel Universe like crazy. It's ridiculous and sad.
In my headcanon Ultron is definitely still alive. Damaged, licking his wounds, shut out from the Web, but very much alive. I mean, think about it - how did Vision know that the Ultron unit he was speaking with was the last one? Wouldn't it make the PERFECT distraction to send one towards the Avengers under the pretense of being "the last one" while another finds a safe spot to hide? I mean, come on, this is Ultron, the guy whose whole shtick is that you can't really kill him or stop him permanently, only delay the Age of Ultron. He's definitely going to show up in the future when the Avengers are fighting Thanos or another cosmic threat and let them know that they've got a friend in him (in a Disney song, of course).
I doubt it. He was blocked off from being able to transport his consciousness to another host, and his last body was destroyed. I'd be down to see him return, but I think it's highly unlikely

I still remember how I felt when they killed off Ronan the Accuser. I was even rooting for Ronan because I didn't want him to die, and I didn't want it to end.
Thanos had to have learned somehow that the Tesseract was on Earth. The Tesseracts whole gimic is transportation even though Hydra used it as a power source, Loki uses it to open a gateway for the Chitari. So how does Thanos learn about Earth? The Tesseract teleports the Red Skull right into Thanos's grasp in The first Cap movie. That's my theory anyways.
We agree! Death has always been very pronounced and definite in the comic book world. They would have been more explicit and showy about it if they weren't thinking of him coming back.
Basically it's a sound theory but let me say this. Thanos is old, really old and he traveled a lot thru the universe and gained a lot of knowledge. He is also a very powerful being with an extreme intellect - the guy is not dumb. He could have found a way to track down the energy signature of the Infinity gems/stones or at least the one that are not protected or shielded by something nullifying their energy signature. He could have pinpoint the locations of some of them. The Tesseracts didn't seem to be protected by anything that could have prevented its energy to be detected. The Mind Gem that was part of Loki's staff belong to Thanos and he entrusted it into Loki's hands to find the Space Gem/Stone which is what the Tesseracts is.
However as it's explained in Guardians of the Galaxy the Infinity Gems cannot be hold by normal beings because they are too powerful and would destroy anyone who touches them directly. The only way is use them in non-living objects like a staff to use the power of the Gem. That's why Red Skull could be dead because he directly hold the Tesseracts in his hand. In order to use the full power of the Infinity Gems they all have to be hold together and that's why Thanos has the Infinity Gautlet, without it he won't be able to sustain the power of the 6 Gems combined.
But it doesn't mean he can't return - Marvel made it a habit to bring back dead characters. Besides there might be a litle hope because as far as i remember Red Skull was wearing leather gloves when he took the Tesseracts so maybe, just maybe, he could still be alive somewhere in the universe.
Lets cross our fingers for his return because it would be a shame to not see more of Red Skull.

Did you know that Nolan's third Dark Knight installment was to originally have the Joker stand on trial while Two-face go on a rampage in Gotham basically making the Joker and Two-Face the main villians of the movie? It was later shelved following Ledger's untimely death and featured Bane instead.

Red Skull isn't dead. The Tesseract (which looked like it killed him) houses the infinity gem of space. It allows the user to exist in any or all locations, move any object anywhere throughout reality and warp or rearrange space. It may also act as kind of a wormhole. When you watch the scene with Red Skull "dying", you'll notice the room shows various corners of the cosmos. Red Skull is simply pulled into another world.
We never see Red Skull "die"; if anything, he disintegrates in what could be considered a method of teleportation (especially in regard to other Marvel movies).
Red Skulls death in the first Captain America movie was a little ambiguous because I believe Marvel was going to continue using his character in future films but Hugo Weaving was not interested in reprising his role and I guess Marvel didn't want to cast a new actor to play him. The circumstances might be the same for Ronan the Accuser as well.
I don't know if Star Wars applies here, but killing off Mace Windu in that way was a mistake. He'd be a great addition in the Rebel series or as someone whom Luke went to study with in the upcoming movies.

It's currently being debated on whether Mace Windu survived that fall. I forgot who, but people who are apart of the Star Wars crew teased that he might still be alive. You should look that up
Not necessarily. The Rebel series takes place after Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith, so if he survived, he'd still be rather young. If he were to make an appearance in Episode 8, he'd be older but not ridiculously old by the Star Wars timeline. During Episode 3 and 4, Obi Wan appears to be in his 30's and then presumably 50-60 range. Mace Windu appears to be around the same age, thus he'd be old but still able to teach some things to a young Luke.
I saw the video and it's quite interesting. I think having Mace Windu in the Rebel series, which occurs between episodes 3 and 4 would be great. He definitely died too soon and can still contribute towards the storyline.

The actual Mandarin wasn't killed off. In the Blue Ray release there was a Marvel short where a reporter interviews Trevor (I think that was his name) and it turns out that (to para-phrase) "the man whose name you stole wants it back."
This implies that there is a real Mandarin and that he could, possibly, show up.

I always wondered about the Abomination. Hulk was going to strangle him to death wiht the chain until Betty screamed for him to stop but then Hulk threw Abby to the floor, stepped on him, and gave a leg stopping crack to his rib cage which could have signified his death. At the very least, the character died in the Incredible Hulk right when he got interesting and he never was revived for an amazing Masters of Evil encounter the Avengers really needs.

I'm pretty sure I'm not the only who has said this but clearly, no one stays dead in the Marvel Comics movie. Two examples, Loki in the first Thor movie and Pepper Potts in Iron Man 3.
Loki basically fell into the abyss after the destruction of the Biforst. Thor even said so himself in the first Avengers movie that he mourned his 'death'. Add to the fact that Hemidall and his all-seeing gaze didn't see him until Loki reappeared in the Avengers movie, that creates the solid belief that Loki was dead.
When Pepper Potts fell into basically a bonfire from a height that was easily not survivable, in Iron Man 3, even the Mandarian accepted the fact she was dead and he gave her the same serum that gave him his powers. Sure she showed up minutes later alive and ass-kicking but everyone including the audience made the assumption that she was dead.

All I would say is Ronan wasn't killed by the 2nd rocket attack but by the power stone wielded by the Guardians.
Also as many have already pointed out Guy Pearce was pretending to be the Mandarin and was not associated with the "real" 10 rings group seen in the previous Iron man films.

I agree with most of your list but I'm okay with Electro, Mandarin (Killian), and Goblin #1 dying since the turn they made for the Mandarin was kind of dumb and the Goblin had already been overdone in the Tobey McGuire Spiderman movies. As far as DCEU (of which I am no expert), I'm assuming the Dark Knight set of movies is completely separate since Ra's is actually in TV show The Arrow (or at least, was). Could a DC fan explain this Ra's Al Ghul paradoxy thingy to me?
Seriously though, this is one of the Top 10 Lists of anything comic book movies that I actually agree with for once. Red Skull & Ronan definitely killed off way too soon, along with the others you mentioned. Great job!

Red Skull isn't definitively dead. The Tesseract was shown to open portals through space so he is possibly alive out in the universe somewhere. The Mandarin never died as he never existed. Killian created him as propaganda to distract the world from his plans.
Also the same is true for everyone he killed with the Tesseract guns.

I think a good addition to the list would be Jigsaw in Punisher: War Zone. True, Mr. Skull Tee's films never seem to yield a sequel. However if I'm not wrong, Mr. Puzzle Face is one of the few foes of Frank's that seemed to elude death. At least longer than most of Castle's enemies. Might've made a good Round 2 fight where he kills Billy after another knockdown drag out battle. Perhaps denoting that Punisher has been doing his thing since their first war. And with The Beaut losing his brother James the first time, Jigsaw could be looking for some dark vengeance.

1. Did you even watch these movies or just google characters who died in movies?
2. It's explained fairly well in Guardians that prolonged exposure to the stone is what causes powerful beings to die. Ronan is powerful and could briefly hold the stone (for all of 3 seconds) before putting it in his weapon is different than having it's power shot at you and through your whole body.
3. Red Skull isn't even necessarily dead. He was sucked into one of the infinity stones and could easily be in there. (See Adam Warlock in the Infinity Gauntlet story). A big reason why he hasn't been brought back, Hugo Weaving hated the make up. So it's entirely possible they will eventually get him back with either a different actor or enough payola for Weaving to deal with it.
4. The Real Mandarin wasn't Killian. Marvel addressed this with the one-shot for Thor the Dark World, All Hail the King. Slattery ends up broken out of jail and kidnapped by the REAL Ten Rings run by the REAL Mandarin. The real Mandarin still exists and could play a role down the line.
The problem quicksilver had was we already had a better one in Xmen.
