Hey Chris! It’s me, the one with the broken bolt in my Goldwing engine. Thanks for sharing my bad experience. It’ll definitely help others avoid buying those dodgy accessories.
Agree that it will take a couple of years for the economy to truly turn around. I think that softening demand for motorcycles, particularly in the younger demographic, will result in capping the price of large touring motorcycles and discourage manufacturers from increasing prices and moving manufacturing. In short, I’ll be surprised if Honda makes any big changes to the GW or moves manufacturing to the USA. Delay in announcing the ’25 model may simply reflect the uncertainty in the US election results. Just my 2c…
Another great Crown and Comments. I agree with your optimism about the future. No one outside of Honda really knows about the 2025s yet. Your maintenance videos are a tremendous value!
Cruise man, I hope the initialization procedure for the DCT is in your manuals. I did it on mine at 2500 miles after I changed the oil the 2nd time myself. It made my upshifts and downshifts smoother and quieter.
I got a new 2018 in 2019 and came across your maintenance videos. On my 2012 I only was brave enough to change the oil on my own. After your videos I have replaced the air filter 2 times, brake pads 3 times coolant and oil n rear diff fluid many times. Your videos gave me the confidence to dig into my own bike and have saved $1000s in labor fees. Scott
Nicely done, Cruiseman! A great job providing perspective and helping the folks understand the role of the dealer. My advice is to get to know your dealer and their service team. Work together to solve things and you can usually land somewhere that is fair. And, purchase your maintenance video series!
Love the slow pour of the smooth mellow bourbon at the intro! Sipped and enjoyed responsibly. Mac was a blast. Truly a great guy. He was immediately inducted by unanimous decision into the Cruiseman breakfast brotherhood. Would love to be in the caravan to Clarksville, Tennessee if that’s ever on the travel itinerary someday. DFW Honda Powersports in Grapevine, Texas are absolute Professionals. Starts with Service Manger Jacob and Tanner. Mark the Honda Technician is absolutely on another level. Other Powersports shops with challenging work will send it to DFW Honda Powersports and Mark will make the repair. $300 is nothing to save a bad experience. I’ll bet while that Gold Wing was in for service they checked other areas of the bike over. Guaranteed! Great show Cruise!
The economy has performed well this year, inflation easing a bit. Stock Market has been very strong, the election results barley moved the needle. 75 million people had a different opinion than the others. I'm always optimistic about what this country can do. But the best thing a President can do is not play economist. GW manufacturing coming back to Ohio? Highly unlikely. And I'm an Ohio native, id love for that to happen. GW sales are a blip on Honda's radar.
Greetings, As always another excellent video production 🇺🇲🍾🎉🇺🇲 Do you have any information about the new 2025 Goldwing. Thank you so much for sharing with us and keep producing more videos
Hey Cruiseman another fun C&C. Just traded in my 21 six speed bagger in for a 24 DCT bagger. Mostly because of the super deals out there and can’t imagine loving this generation Goldwing more but also if the 25 changes are too crazy that your videos may no longer be useful. Wing stuff, Fanttik, and Goldstrike are all brands that have never let me down and have customer service second to none!!! Also found out from Wingstuff that Michelin now make tires for 2018-2024 Goldwings. Michelin have always been my first choice for motorcycle tires.
Cruiseman, I also love the Break Free helmet light great safety gear, also like my Fanttik X8 and Bohn Armor offers great products. Thanks for all your product reviews. I am much more optimistic about the future as well.
I was watching one of those 2025 Goldwing videos, and I said to my grandson, why do these people keep making these fake videos? He said, for the clicks. He may know more than me.
If you want to save money on repairs don't go to the dealership. They have the highest labor rates. on top of that they might up the labor rate if you supply your own parts. So you think your saving a nickel on an air filter when they're going to charge you a dime an hour to change it. Find an independent shop (I know they're getting harder to find) or watch the videos.
Hi Cruiseman. I am with you on the possibility of some model updates for 2025 : when the yearly changes are limited to mainly a change in paint color, Honda is usually making the announcement at around mid October. The bigger trunk change of the 2021 model was announced on Januari 5, 2021. So, I am also anticipating some changes for the 2025 model. The new 2018+ model has been on the market for 7 years now : when looking at competition, it’s kind of time for a technical update. I do not think there is any need for an update in design and mechanics. My guess : a combination of a dash update and a replacement of the audio unit (from Harman, they stopped supporting it). Maybe also a radar assisted (“adaptive”) cruise control, and/or blind spot mirror detection, rear collision detection.
Great video but If there is tariff , maybe the price goes up by 20% .or more .......manufacturing could take 3 year to set up . We will have to see , not willing to put money in us market right now . Not trying to be negative but things do not move that fast and give good results. ... In Canada your closes ally people are getting nervous of tariff and are looking at different investment market. Already our canadian dollars is close to 40% lower than the Us dollar , does not provide incentive to purchase us products even if there are great. Love Breakfree , I got one .
Let's see how good it is when Elon cuts Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid and also foreign countries don't pay tariffs we will 🤷🏾♂️ @cruisemansgarage
My dealership which does work on both Honda and Ducati. The cost is $139.00/hr. for Honda and $149.00/hr. for Ducati. They have a schedule for work, for example oil and filter may be 1 hour. They charge for the full hour even though it may only take 45 minutes.
Thank you for the videos. Will the promo code work for to older wings video series? I have a 2015 Valkyrie and looking for guidance! Thank you . Regards!
Hey buddy,I watched your video on carplay.i have a 2021 dct touring. Followed all your steps for setup and got to last step and couldn't connect. Tried it in car and it worked. Is there a need to update software on bike.thanks
Why don’t they make the Helmet light for the top box (trunk?) of the Goldwing. That way there would be no requirement to dismantle the Wing to wire one in, etc. Simples! Maybe I should Patent the idea?
Good video. You mention better economy and tariffs - kind of mutually exclusive - yep, Honda will just increase their prices for us. As well as all those other suppliers that provide great motorcycle accessories. Don't fool yourselves.
Hey cruiseman love your channel, lots of info here but I totally disagree I believe the coming administration is going to do some major damage to this country but I’m not gonna not let that stop me from moving forward it is what it is. Be safe.
When I had my Can AM spyder rt-l (2022) the 3k service was $698-dollars and as I comment before I got rid of the machine after 50 weeks and went back to 2 wheels
Re the point about warranty not being covered if you do your own servicing, I have a 2019 Harley that I do my own servicing on, at 40,000 miles I needed a engine rebuild it was covered under the warranty, at 58,000 miles I needed a new transmission, it was covered under warranty, I was NEVER questioned about doing my own maintenance or told it would not be covered. However, IF I had used an aftermarket tuner like you can do with a BT Moto one then my motor work would NOT have been covered. Don't say you set it back to stock before Honda works on it as that is no help, as soon as you do an ECU change it leaves a entry in your ECU that cannot be reset and can be picked up by a dealer diagnostic tool. This happens on Harleys and your VIN is automatically blacklisted for motor warranty work.... be warned
