@@cruisemansgarage so there was a border bill and it was nixed by Republicans further delaying any action. As a Canadian I can't comment on your medical coverage other than to say that I'm shocked, truly shocked, when discussing medical plans with my American family and friends. The amounts you pay on an annual basis is just incredible. There is often a comparison on how much more we pay for our taxes compared to Americans. Hello Cruiseman....yes our house insurance our car insurance our gas bill our electric bill our cable bill are constantly going up just as you stated and as soon as we get the bill my wife is on the phone calling that company giving them an ear full and trying to get the bill reduced especially the insurance because we have had these companies for 30 plus years without any accidents or home owners claims and they still keep going up... Sold my golf over a year ago, reasons, maintenance 175.00$ per hour, repair and tires cost, insurance cost, travel expenses, ( hotel bills, food ). Now credit and bank card usage, cost 3.25 usage fees .
Insurance rates have gone crazy! Yes, Chris, I have seen similar increases in our home, auto, and health insurance costs and it seems ridiculous. . . . until I watch the news and see the storms, destruction, and wildfires occurring almost continually, it would seem. Somebody has to pay for all that damage and guess who those "somebodies" are? All of us. The insurance industry is interconnected; a loss in one segment can affect the coverage and premiums in another area through "re-insurance". My motorcycle insurance has also increased. I am with you on the "home insurance conundrum"; our home is paid for so we are not required to carry coverage. I checked our policy here in Oregon and our deductible is only $1k, not a percentage of the home value. Whew!
Love your C&C videos. I’m struggling on whether to get a new Goldwing or to see how far I can push this one. My 21 bagger has 60 K but I took a 97 1100 Shadow to almost 100K. I am kinda sold on the DCT which my bike does not have and that green bagger color appeals to me though I have no idea how to maintain a mat finish. As for the 25 model if I was a gambling kind of a guy I’d guess that all your going see on the Goldwing will be a plaque or a badge or just some cosmetic thing- a - ma -bob. But what do I know. Thanks Cruiseman! Love your stuff!
We have a large Harley dealer in town that was sold about 4-5 years ago. We have sponsored many local charities together, however the dealer is now losing in excess of $100,000 A MONTH!!!! Sadly, regardless of size, that’s not sustainable and a Harley store that’s been around for 45 years is on borrowed time.
Good Afternoon Cruiseman, thank you for an excellent Crown and Comments and I agree with you 100% including some people probably should not vote. The fact that everything is more expensive all over the world (to me..) doesn't reconcile to a bi-partisan issue given that much of the insurance you're talking about are focused on total shareholder returns and EBITDA.
@@cruisemansgarage aging recipients, the effects of COVID and 2020, shareholders - capitalists wanting more, increased weather events, increase in drivers and with that accidents, and cars are getting more expensive. A lot of this can be negotiated at the local/state level - that’s where it starts. At the Federal level, if congress is split, nothing ever gets done. You’re upset at capitalism and by not communicating with your state reps your voice is not getting heard. I appreciate you not mentioning how you voted, but I suspect how, and while I can empathize with your reasoning, your solution leaves me disappointed.
Insurance has been a run away, we have seen all our insurance policies go up! You are correct I have seen many motorcycle accessory companies close down in very recent years (BushTec, Baker Wings and more). People cannot afford to have the things they enjoy in life. We need a change in the USA. income does not keep up with the cost of living..
The part of the higher cost that i fear is. You get the insurance pay it. Then they cancel and run with out insurance. Of you get in an accident with them it will have an effect. Not sure if the U.S. is the same as in Canada. In Canada. We need to prove insurance to get our vehicle tag. Once you have the tag You could cancel your insurance and chance not getting stopped.
My homeowners was going up like crazy over the last three years. We had a bad hail storm last year and I had to replace my roof. It was about 20 years old. I replaced and my insurance went down substantially with just a new roof. I put a class 4 hail resistant roof on and when I sent in the paperwork for that my insurance went down again, basically almost erasing my previous increases. I also live in DFW. Basically we are prepaying for new roofs due to the hail potential in this area. I have not seen big increases in the insurance for my Goldwing. It has went up but not that much since owning it. Cars are a different story.
I live in NC and my car insurance doubled from 2021 I also have a 2023 gold wing tour dct and that has gone up 50% from 2022 to now and I live on s.s food bill has more than doubled here i had to move in with a family member and can only afford to eat one meal a day now and you right I had to sell my second motorcycle I could not longer afford a second bike I am devastated over this so I also voted early based on these things that affect my daily life
You may want to check another insurance source---it's a pain, but different companies that handle medicare can have significantly different costs and deductibles. Example: my thyroid meds cost me $0.
Great to hear you voted Chris! Prices for things are on everyone's mind I think! There is one person that has said they will do something about price gouging, sorry but it's not trump! He just wants to do tarrif's, in other words even higher prices because consumers pay for tarrif's, not the country you're trying to teach a lesson to! Like you say what do I know. Politicians don't know how to tell the truth much anymore!
I am not buying the price gouging argument because the outrageous inflation only started after 2020-2021. Why was there no gouging prior to that? Check the financial statements of these insurance companies and you will see many are losing money. That’s why some, like State Farm are actually pulling out of various states. And why hasn’t the candidate talking about gouging done anything about it in the past 4 years?
@@cruisemansgarage there has always been price gouging, one form or another. Rich getting richer. Trickle down economics ring a bell!? Until they make them quit gouging, they will keep doing it, because they can!
You mean the inflation trump created, the deficit exploding economy of trump! It took a while for Biden to reign in the debacle of the trump economy! Inflation is way down now, but prices didn't go down because people are greedy! They jacked up prices during the pandemic because they knew people would pay it, & they never brought prices back down!
Chris Calienti implored folks to vote blue a couple weeks ago and I'm sure he instantly realized you should never mix business with politics. Almost every single comment he received was folks telling him that they unsubscribed.
Same here Cruiseman. I live in South Texas. Home insurance is now $6000 with a 3% deductible. Car insurance for 4 cars because we have 2 college aged daughters is $7700/year. That's for a 2010 F150, 2015 Kia Forte, 2020 Avalon, and 2023 Highlander. Only the Highlander has a note. It is getting ridiculous. I say what you do. This is NOT sustainable. We are going to move from Texas as soon as the kids are done with college. We will greatly reduce our cost of living and size of home. I dont' think we can ever really retire. I voted too. And I voted for Trump. I will say it. He isn't perfect. But the tax and spend of the democrats has gotten us here. I am done.

Who ever wins the election , will reduce your bills for insurance ^^^ that is the least of their concern...…I am happy we are in Canada but we are the same on these costs ... welcome to the new world order .......rich are getting richer and the rest of us are paying for it. Great work on your motorcycle video they are great. Putting my 3 wheeler away for winter and using a Speed way shelter from the us ( but manufactured in china)
The tariff game one of the candidates wants to play could make a Honda Goldwing unaffordable even if inflation stabilizes or backs off. The reality is the Motorcycle industry may be in trouble regardless. One thing I'm sure of, I don't want a politician to play part time economist. That's never a good result.
@@cruisemansgarage they won't, it would cost more than it's worth. They would just shut down production for the USA. As you've said many times, each year could be the last for the Goldwing.
@chadgruver4423 America buys most of the goldwings produced, if honda wanted to reduce tariffs they would either import more American goods or they would make these products here in the states (which they do alot of) cruiseman is right , if we keep buying the goldwing they will bring production back to their factory in Indiana.

@@goldwingconepatterns2565 I doubt there would be one. Besides, mine is bottled in the US.
How many are paying attention, the sweet free stuff promised is snowing people.
These insurance increases are just powerful insurance companies maximizing their profits and rewarding their stock holders.
VERY FRUSTRATING....we also voted early hope it helps but like I tell my wife...we have to pay for the people that don't pay and unfortunately that's not going to change 😡 enjoy your videos... Thank you and keep em coming!
Hello, what everybody need to understand, is we got here!
I do, in fact, carry a spare battery for my fob in that unlockable compartment, because that is just a really easy thing to do, and it's really small.

People need to get educated on the candidates, their policies and plans for this country and not because my family has always voted for this party or because of a particular gender, race, color, etc. All the Best.
I sold the pick up truck, boat,my trailers, and now considering selling the house keeping the car and bike for now...
Great video
I rode with guys who routinely put 100,000 miles on the Wings annually! Not me, but there are those guys and they won't be buying other brands.
The fact that everything is more expensive all over the world (to me..) doesn't reconcile to a bi-partisan issue given that much of the insurance you're talking about are focused on total shareholder returns and EBITDA.
But why such increases in the past 4 years?
As the world’s reserve currency, when the US experiences inflation and bad monetary policy, it reverberates all around the world.
@@cruisemansgarage and why is the US, and most of the world, experiencing inflation? And why is it worse in some other places?
My Goldwing insurance has remained pretty stable too.
Hahah i like dons beautiful blue truck. I can’t talk, I took my truck up there once. But my bike was in Portland. You having one tomorrow?
You need to better educate yourself.
Price gouging isn't the problem, it's the inflation that's bringing up prices.
I''ll vote on election day and yes I will be voting for my own best interests.
Did you see the video from i think wingstuff shows the guy that can fix the tft unit?
Chris Calienti implored folks to vote blue a couple weeks ago and I'm sure he instantly realized you should never mix business with politics. Almost every single comment he received was folks telling him that they unsubscribed.
not to mention the fact that he think he all that and a bag of chitluns
I am done.
It’s the same in uk too….and it’s going to continue getting worse…..
with my retirement income and rate of inflation I'll be home less in 7 years.
I get it.
Thank god for a rant Thank you for voting. all legal Americans should vote. I agree with the RANT on the cost of all the insurance for everything home auto, health, drugs hell just trying to live, for god sake. The { finance comety} Is going on medicare in November!. I voted early myself but I don't feel the need you say why..........
Cruisman, are your t-shirts made in the USA? I keep asking, you never answer.
How about, the cost of a gallon of house paint? Out of sight high, that’s what’s up!
@@johnsalvi9073 somewhat related to the price of petroleum.
Tariffs are a bargaining chip to even out the imbalance of our import/export relations with other countries.

Wow! The US healthcare system is really broken. Here in Ireland, we don't have these medical costs. My car insurance is €375 ($400). My motorcycle insurance is €300 ($350).nWhy is it so expensive in the US? It sounds like you voted for change (Trump, I assume). Not sure he or Harris can do anything about insurance costs.
@@DeniseBreen we have to get inflation under control and our national debt as it relates to GDP. The only hope is to GROW our way out of this nightmare by growing our GDP. You can’t do that by shipping jobs and manufacturing overseas. The Affordable Care Act (ObamaCare) tripled my health insurance costs and raised my deductibles. This is the most corrupt government on Earth. That’s why they want to kill or jail Trump.
And again I ask, where are your t-shirts made?? If they are not made in the US then you are a hippocite and part of the problem.

It won't matter who you vote for...neither one will fix this insurance issue..or will they even try to fix SS or Medicare that will have to cut back benefits in a few years from now
I did not get that at all. Things were much better four years ago then they are today. He was speaking about now who is in power now. If who is in power now has the next term, things will be getting much much worse. TRUMP 2024!

Medical insurance is expensive? You know why.
Maybe because of The Affordable Care Act?
@@cruisemansgarageFar from it. It’s insurance keeping up with what they get billed from hospitals and providers, and what pharmaceuticals and medical equipment suppliers charge patients and hospitals. Let us not forget the cost of doctors, specialists, nurses, salaries that they rightfully deserve, and what’s required to keep them on staff. The benefits of the ACA far outweigh any individual inconvenience. Don’t ignore that there are many states tapping into its benefits and your state too. I remember the days when pre-existing conditions disqualified you from getting insurance at all. Type 1 Diabetes. Breast Cancer. Prostate Cancer. Those days were rosy though.
