I don't care what anyone thinks, This is a GREAT song writtin by Jani about something very personal, and that's what makes it great !! who cares bout trends and all that other Bullshit, R.I.P. Jani . We are goin to Miss you !!!
god i miss jani lane. i kept up w/ him through the years because he was an amazing beautiful song writer and i do believe the person he was had to have come out of music so powerful.all these blogs about his death,&people not helping him .some have demons and they leave this life according to a different plan.why don't we celebrate what he gave us here on earth?listen to these lyrics for cryin out loud. jani, (john) you were/are amazing.rest very very peacefully, no more fights w/ your demons.
jani was one of the best heavy metal ("Hairband") singers and an amazingly talented songwriter. i almost wrote him on his blog about a month ago just to say i appreciated all he had written over the years. i was saddened to hear that i waited to long. (to write him) blessings to you in Heaven, jani. *mel
Good to hear again this beutiful ballad song from jani. It reminds me playing russian roulette 5 years ago when i found out my wife was cheating on me with my friend. It makes me stronger Now when the bullet get stuck in my head and put me in a coma for a year. So folks that's how Warrant reminds me. Welcome to the club Jani.By the way my wife used to fantasize you!
@jmitchell67060 There are 2 situations that this song helped get me through. One of them was the death of my father; (Although, he DID "love me back!") The other one, was the end of the relationship with my ex-fiance. Jani Lane wrote some very inspirational lyrics here: "It's right to set it free, hurts to watch it fly away" Those words are picture perfect for all our broken hearts. In the end, of course, we do feel stronger for our loss. This song captures that wisdom completely.
No. I think Jani is through with Warrant (ref. VH1 Where Are They Now?). He has a new single album out called All The Way Down to One. It's pretty good. The new Warrant has a video out on youtube. It tries to bring back the hair metal days, but I don't think it succeeded very well.
Have you heard the 'new' Warrant? I have the CD, but haven't heard it yet. Kind of ironic that Jani Lane really hates the song that he wrote that put Warrant on the map. He wrote the best ballads. When my wife told me that she was sleeping with someone else one month before I was to return from overseas, I made a video with Warrant's I Saw Red.
I agree. Unfortunately, the song came out when 'hair metal' was no longer cool. Heck, even G'n R' aren't getting any airplay and it was 12 years since their last album.
Yeah...D.E.D. was one of the better ones. I did not like Belly-To-Belly. It came out when other hair bands like Dokken, Stephen Pearcy from Ratt, and Queensryche, tried to change their musical styles to match the current musical trend of the time(mid 1990's). Naturally, the new sound albums pretty much blew. Only George Lynch, who combined industrial rap, grunge, and metal seemed to find some success with Smoke This.
Great song. I'm not sure I agree with the sentiment of this video. It's been a couple of years since you uploaded this. So do you still feel the same way? That you'll never forget her? Has time put more perspective on it? I'm curious.

@80smetalking3 Hey, Thanx for the very kind words. You Rock!
Yeah. Unfortunately, the biggest killer of our boys overseas is not enemy fire. It's the heart breaking Dear John Letter.
the strings are killing me.
RIP Jani Lane
Yeah, sad. I don't suppose you'll ever make a clip for the song Undertow off this album will you? Thats a badass song!
No I haven't let me know how it is! Is Jani singing?

I agree. Unfortunately, the song came out when 'hair metal' was no longer cool. Heck, even G'n R' aren't getting any airplay and it was 12 years since their last album.

Whats the title? I think overall I liked Dog Eat Dog the best.

a few observations:
"All The Way Down To One" is NOT new.
Warrant kicks ass.
