GREAT video. A lot of times we only hear a great song, without understanding it. This video was a excellent way to be able to understand what Jani, and Warrant was trying to say in it. Most videos are a hit and miss. This was a big hit, at least for me. R.I.P. Jani.
Hair bands are so versatile! They can write/perform grunge songs without a sweat! Now let me hear a grunge band write/perform a hair metal tune! 80's forever!!!
Haha, this video is pure 90s. I didn't know there was a vid for this either, I'm glad there is. I really love this song, it almost makes me want to forget about Cherry Pie.
I was playing guitar to this just last night, and man, Ultraphobic rocks the roof off! Anthemic, that's what I say: Anthemic. It doesn't just rock, it's MOVING! YOU BETTER FIND... OUT! WHICH ROAD YOU'RE ON... YOU CAN'T CHANGE WHO YOU ARE BY THE COLORS YOU PUT ON! YOU BETTER FIND SOMEBODY TO LEAN ON! MAKE UP YOUR MIND.... CHAMELEON! Straight from the borderline... experience. It's a RELATIONSHIP album! Alas... I can relate to it... from experience.
This is not AIC, Soudgarden or any of the many other grunge bands. It's the change that Warrant made to introduce a better sound. I liked this album a lot. It is underrated because people wish to stay in the past but even when moving forward bands can miss the mark but Warrant nailed it with this. And in a final note; it's all choice. If you don't like it then don't listen.
I remember giggling a bit to the idea of a song called "Family Picnic" on a rock album but then I heard the lyrics and was like "O.O this is not about a family picnic at all... this is pretty heavy stuff". Nevertheless, a great song with an equally powerful music vid. Jani Lane was a genius songwirter. R.I.P buddy :'(
Belly to Belly and Ultraphobic are the best albums Warrant made. It's too bad they couldn't play like this and write like this when they were getting airplay.
I say I love all the warrant /Jani albums..and when a band love every album and song Jani wrote it stands on its on ..no feelers like some bands all great tunes..vocalist power and more emotion than most vocalist dream to have..my faves dog eat dog..ultra phobic ..belly to belly..and the song subhuman and face ..off cover album...vocaly dog eat dog and defenetly ultra phobic vocals are bar none amazing ..rip Jani ..song & dance man
I picked this cd up for .99 @ Best Buy in 1997 not expecting much -- boy was I surprised at how GOOD it actually is! The look and musical direction nearly deprived me of an excellent addition to my collection. Jani Lane is so fucking talented, it's a shame he can't keep his demons under control...Is he in anyone's 2009 Dead Pool?? ;(
Hey same thing I did for Enuff z Nuff Strength cd...99 cents. That cd had some great songs like the rocker Long Way To Go, the ballad Goodbye and the title track. Best 99 cents I ever spent!
@msteryman31 You're not I did too so that makes two of us! I was too young to remember their 80s heyday so for me the Ultraphobic LP was the first I really heard from them. And it rocked!
If you were a music video programmer in the mid nineties, they would of hauled your ass to jail for airing this video! I was the ONLY person I knew who bought this album.Too bad because it was a excellent record.
Dude no you was not and are been warrant fan since beginning..love all the albums pretty much any thing Jani put out..such a songwriter and vocalist ..he was awesome
Yeah man it totally sucks MTV and radio turned thier backs on these guys and some of the better hair bands in the mid 90's. Why can't all forms of rock music live together harmoniously?
Too bad Clear Channel and every other fuckin' radio station companies didn't play anything off Dog Eat Dog, this cd, or Belly to Belly. Same goes for Winger Pull, Skid Row Subhuman Race, Dokken Dysfuntional, and Ratt Ratt. Alot of good music lost to those that rely on the radio for music, or "current" mustic.
i hate that rap and grunge rock because it fucking ruined music, it caused mtv to change into fucking reality, and show nothing but rap videos and it is fucking horrible.
i dont like it cause is too much alice in chains... i like changes, but not to copy someone else... Look at dog eat dog, is a change, but for better :)
@@wakawakacody - Some will never let this band off the hook for anything. They do "hair metal," get slammed for being soft posers. They get a little heavier during the "grunge era," they get slammed for chasing trends and selling out.
Liked this song, when it came out. Nobody else did. Still like it ... It has power, and Jani's voice makes it Warrant
I liked too.
warrant was one of the most underrated acts to come out of the 80's. Thats what a lable gets you...

To this day the warrant ultra phobic album is still badass and one of jani s best ..still don't sound dated sounds killer
I love all the music Jani had to offer....a real talent and good soul. I miss my friend dearly.
I totally agree! He was soooooo much more than the "Cherry Pie guy"!

I love this album!!
what an apt song to hear at the moment only just found out! RIP Jani!!! Will miss you tonnes!!
I liked this cd when it came out. The last good cd they released with Jani.
This is really a great song. LOVE the instrumental tracks. Heavy lyrics.

RIP JANI LANE, You were a HUGE talent and will be really missed man.
This album is so underrated.
Loved the band - DED is a great album - just discovering Ultraphobic... love it!!
That's a really good video. Ultraphobic is a great album.
Great song by warrant!
Great Cd Different Style Love It too!
I can't believe that this has over 28 thousand views but so few ratings..
Belly to Belly and Ultraphobic are the best albums Warrant made. It's too bad they couldn't play like this and write like this when they were getting airplay.

A great album, a great achievement, considering their glam background. And a great drummer.
Poppin a cap on dirty dad was the climax
We all die alone
All my respects to Warrant!

I got this complete on 3/4" U-matic Tape. Bad ass video!
Jani Lane. May he rest in peace x
I agree! The people who said too bad are the fans who cannot accept growth.
Crawl Space carries more weight than 32 Pennies!!!
GREAT VIDEO!
Its funny how you can listen to a song, countless times. But the vid of the song you build up in your head, is actually nothing like the real one.
Wow, fuckin intense. Nice job, Warrant.
hey sillynuts, how about putting "UnderTow" on here, also a really good song?
@chabadoogi at that time Steven Sweet left the band for a while, he was the first one then the others.
@msteryman31 You're not I did too so that makes two of us! I was too young to remember their 80s heyday so for me the Ultraphobic LP was the first I really heard from them. And it rocked!
I see some Luis Buñuel influence in the video.
Killdozer's right Ultraphobic is a great album...
If you were a music video programmer in the mid nineties, they would of hauled your ass to jail for airing this video! I was the ONLY person I knew who bought this album.Too bad because it was a excellent record.
Shit I bought it and every one of my friends had it...it should of been played..everywhere..hell if played now it would be a hit
Why is it that it seems like I am the only one to like Warrant in the 90's???
Dude no you was not and are been warrant fan since beginning..love all the albums pretty much any thing Jani put out..such a songwriter and vocalist ..he was awesome
RIP James Kottak's hair
Wait was this the same band from the 80's. Is that Jani and everyone in this song or did they get new people?
Yeah man it totally sucks MTV and radio turned thier backs on these guys and some of the better hair bands in the mid 90's. Why can't all forms of rock music live together harmoniously?
This to me sounds like King's X.
Funny you said that. I saw Warrant on this tour in Houston and Members Of King’s X was there!
Ultraphobic from 1995
They should have stuck to the Dog Eat Dog style.
Bubbatha Ohio The song Ultraphobic shoulf have been a single! Cmon A&R!
This album is HIGHLY under-rated. Their follow-up, Belly to Belly Volume 1, was a disappointment. I wish that they had made a video for "Undertow."
Lo que es tener un arma en la casa cuando los chicos son niños-------------por favor!!!!!!!!! my God
last good music of warrant.
This reminds me of AIC, but it's not so bad
Jani Lane sounded Dio-ish on this song!
i really like there first three albums i think they lost it after that :( rip jani lane

Sounds alot like Alice in Chains.
The father looks kinda like Nicholas Cage.
warrant
who else?
@hukkunut because they are not so good
Yeah -- that BELLY TO BELLY cd was pretty bad ;(
i hate that rap and grunge rock because it fucking ruined music, it caused mtv to change into fucking reality, and show nothing but rap videos and it is fucking horrible.
i dont like it cause is too much alice in chains... i like changes, but not to copy someone else...
Look at dog eat dog, is a change, but for better

ehh.. songs alright.. but KICKASS video
This isnt warrant, warrant makes happy songs,or songs that have anthems. This sounds alot like grunge, which fuking sucks! hair metal needs to come back!
Sellouts
Really? This album is killer. It's something new, I rather them explore different musical styles instead of just stick to hair metal.
