Yes, I absolutely agree. Fleece-lined tights are an absolute game-changer! Perfect for staying cozy while still enjoying the winter vibes outdoors. Thank you so much for your sweet words - they truly made my day. So glad you enjoyed the video 🥹💕
Let the hacks flow my dear. We need these hacks instead of buying extra clothes we never end up wearing because they just don't work!!! Great job let it come you naughty girl.
Thank you so much! I’m so happy the hacks are helpful - that’s exactly why I make these videos. I’m all for making the most of what we already have. More hacks are definitely on the way!🖤
I'm in Cali and I'm already freezing! That heatwave we had a few weeks ago is making this week feel extra cold. This video is right on time. I love the hack of wearing two layers of outerwear. Now you can take off your overcoat but still be cozy when visiting friends or doing indoor activities. Thanks.
Ugh, Cali cold hits so different esp after a heatwave 🥶 So glad this video came at just the right time for you :) And yesss, the double outerwear trick is one of my faves and a lifesaver too - I've been to restaurants recently that seem to only have one setting: arctic freeze 🥲 It's definitely handy to have those extra layers indoors sometimes. Thanks so much for watching & sharing your thoughts. Please stay warm out there 🫠🫶🏽
Ooh the leg warmers and the cropped sweater will be added to my repertoire. Thank you for those! My fave is the layering of dresses. I wear dresses year round (the only pants I own are pajamas), so always looking for ways to stay warm in the winter.
Love that you’re a fellow dress-all-year queen!👑 Layering dresses is a total game-changer, especially for winter. So glad to hear you’ll be adding the leg warmers and cropped sweater hacks to your wardrobe - those are staples for me too. Stay cozy and fabulous this season ❄️🩵
I thought I'm the only one who does the scarf thing. An extra reason for putting a scarf over your head, it doesn't mess your hair style. 99% of your hair will stay in place depending on the hairstyle. It always works for me.
Yes! Scarf squad unite!🙌🏾 I swear it’s such an underrated hack - saves the outfit AND the hairstyle. You’re so right, it really keeps the hair in place too. Glad to know I’m not alone in doing this 🤭❤️
Yay, so happy you loved the hacks!🎉 The leg warmers are such a game-changer, right? And men’s coats - ugh, the oversized fit is *everything*. Who says we can’t raid the men’s section and slay it?!😉💕
Omg, what an amazing find!🥹 Thrifting really is like a treasure hunt, and a solid WOOL coat for $10????!!! That’s incredible! I thrifted mine for $30 and thought I’d scored big, so you definitely won that round!😂 So glad to hear it’s still going strong. Thanks so much for sharing - I love hearing about thrift success stories!💛
Thank you so much!🫶🏾 The clippy belt is linked in the description bar. Check under “Hack 3”. It’s linked on the “elastic resizing clip belt”. I hope this helps - lmk if you need anything else 💕
Get a 90 inch mustard yellow scarf, and a maroon or brick red scarf and gloves. You and i have the same skin tone and these colors pop on our skin and go so well with both the long wool coat aswell as the moto leather jacket. I adore these fits, they look like things i already have. Except for the skirt and button up outfit, which i can't wait to wear now!❤
Ooooh a mustard yellow scarf sounds like something I NEED. Any recs on where to get one??👀 And also a brick red scarf AND maroon gloves - I basically need to buy everything you’ve just mentioned 😂 Thanks so much for sharing these tips and I’m so glad the outfits inspired you - knowing you’ll be rocking the skirt & button-up look makes me so happy! Please lmk when you try it as I’d love to hear how you style it 💕 You’ve got an amazing eye for fashion and I can’t wait to keep sharing ideas with you 🥰💛
@FashionWizardry girl, you just made my whole day. Oh my goodness ♡ I got my scarves on eBay, lol. Reason is bc I need my scarves in the fall and winter, but I can't with scarves that leave lint all over. I suggest faux cashmere and knitted for fluffy thickness and pashminas, if they are long enough, they are all great. The length is important for me just bc I love to wrap around the neck and still have length on each side. Either way, yes, girl, those colors are all you. I am an all black everything new yorker lol, just as long as textures and even different shades of black. The pops of colors always give. Xox love your work!
You just made *my* day with all these amazing tips! I love how you described yourself as an all black everything New Yorker - there’s something so effortlessly chic about all black, especially when you play with textures and I’m all here for it 🙌🏾🖤 I’ll defo be adding those pops of color this season thanks to you (stay tuned 😉) Thank you for all the love and inspo - you’re seriously so sweet. I can’t believe I have sweet gems like you watching and engaging with my content - it truly means the world 💛
@FashionWizardry blushing here girl you deserve to go far with your attitude, talent and baseline engagement. God bless you and your endeavors you little sweetie pie 🧡 💛

I love the shoelace/ribbon hack for the cropped jumper! ❤ I love legwarmers look too, definitely in ky arsenal. Thank you from a new subscriber.... you won me over and the "we have decorum here Jessica" 😂 I love your sense of style and sense of humour, you're great! ❤
Currently in the process of making myself two dresses and two coats. The two coats are going to be to be wool coats, one really long, and the other long. One of the dresses will be wool, and the other dress is its summer counterpart. Freking cold in Northern California! Thankfully all of them can be layered to keep me warm, or lightened in layers to keep me cool once summer comes back around.
Wow, that’s amazing! 🥰 Those coats and dresses sound so versatile and perfect for layering - you’re killing it with the handmade wardrobe 🙌🏾 Northern California winters can definitely get chilly, so it sounds like you’ll be set for both seasons. Thanks for sharing and good luck finishing your projects! 💕
I’m so glad you loved the hacks! 🥰 And yes, exactly - that’s what I was going for! It’s all about making the most out of what’s already in our closets, especially if we don’t have a ton of cold-weather pieces🧣✨ Thank you so much for watching!❤️

I love that wool coat, Matilda! I hope I can find a black one soon. The sleeves do look too long for you...here's my tip: Find a good tailor! You can have them tailored from the bottom of the sleeve for around $20, maybe a smidgen less/more depending. Your thrifting will really pay off on some good pieces that you may have had to pass up. ❤😊 Your tips are so so good that I've subscribed! Thank you! ❤
Aw, thanks for the tip 💕 I actually love the long sleeve look rn, it’s part of the coat’s charm for me. Maybe I'll change my mind further down the line and have the sleeves tailored but I like them this long for now - I think it adds a touch of drama 😉 That being said, I appreciate the advice and the kind words. So glad to have you subscribed, welcome to the wizardry family 🥹💕

Thanks for watching and sharing your thoughts 😊 I’ve actually been doing this hack for years, and I’ve never had an issue with circulation - it’s all about using flexible, stretchy bands that don’t feel tight. But of course, everyone’s comfort is different, so it’s always good to adjust to what works best for you! 💕
Yes, you definitely can :) Please enjoy modifying my examples to suit your style - I actually like to encourage this as these things are never one size fits all 💕

OK, that zip - check it. It might just need waxing or there is a bit of thread or fabric in the way getting caught in it, but it might be that the fabric it is on is ripping. I ignored a sticky zip once and ended up wearing a skirt held together with safety pins for the day when it broke half way up (wouldn't go either way) and I didn't have the time to seam rip myself out of it because I had to leave for work in 5 minutes.
Thanks so much for the suggestion! I checked and it zips up perfectly when it’s not *on* my body 😂 That must have been so frustrating with your skirt - props to you for the quick safety pin fix though. Super resourceful (but also, what a hassle 😭) This brand is kind of infamous for tricky zips - probs because the dresses fit like a glove and can be a workout to get on 😅

@FashionWizardry I'm considering permanently moving into my Oodie for the rest of the winter. I got merino wool and a fleece layer on just to stay comfortable at work. 😩
Ripped Jeans have been around for 35 years now. I wonder when they are going out of style. The fashion industry takes old denim and sells it back to customers for a high price what a killing they are making while we have holes in our knees. It's really not a pulled together look.
Thanks for sharing your perspective. I totally get what you mean - ripped jeans have defo been around for a while, and it can feel like trends come and go in cycles (fashion is mostly cyclic as we can see from the recent resurgence of old trends). I love how fashion can be so personal and expressive though and what works for one person might not for another. Depends if you live in a cold environment. Moving from Chicago to Dallas, showed me not everyone knows how for dress for winter. Too many here are still in shorts & flipflops in December LOL
The scarf is so that the white top isn't stained by the makeup on the face
You’re absolutely right 🤭💕
Also your Hair doesn’t get messed up 😊 That’s why I do use a scarf over my head sometimes when getting dressed
That’s true :) It helps keep the hair in place as well 💕
Clever!

Idk what wool coats you’re buying love because that is literally what wool is designed to do 💀💀
@FashionWizardry everyone I know says the same tho 😭 all my friends and I wear big puffy jackets to get through the winter
Check out Quince - my friend bought a wool coat from them and she swears by them 💕
Once you find a good wool coat, I promise it’ll change your life 🤭
Amazon has devices to zip up your dresses.
Oooh really? I didn’t know about this! What should I look up to find them? 🤔
