  • "Your Twelve Powers." Narrated by Dr Joseph Murphy, most probably in the 1970s. Originally released on audio cassette. All rights reserved.
Divine Science minister, lecturer and author Dr Joseph Murphy was one of the giants of the New Thought Movement. His most famous book is The Power of Your Subconscious Mind (1963). During the many years that Dr Murphy was Minister-Director of the Church of Divine Science in Los Angeles, thousands of people would crowd into the Wilshire-Ebell Theatre to hear his message, and millions tuned in to his daily radio program.
Dr Murphy also lectured throughout the world, including making two lecture trips to my country Australia in 1955 and 1962-63 under the auspices of New Thought Centres, Australia.
    _______________________
    What are the twelve powers?
According to Unity cofounder and author Charles Fillmore the twelve powers are the twelve fundamental attributes of Divine Mind (Universal Intelligence) that form our spiritual nature and express themselves through our minds and also our bodies as creative ideas, powers and faculties.
In his book The Twelve Powers of Man (1930), Charles Fillmore writes that each of the twelve powers or "department heads" has control of a certain function in soul or body, working through an aggregation of cells that physiology calls a "ganglionic centre" (or nerve centre). He states:
"Each of the twelve fundamental faculties of man has an ego that reflects, in a measure, the original man idea in God. In the body consciousness the twelve apostles, as egos, have twelve centres, or thrones, from which they exercise their power. The will expresses its dominion from the head; love, from the breast; and power ... from the throat."
Fillmore also writes, "These twelve powers are all expressed and developed under the guidance of Divine Mind." NOTE. The number "twelve," as Dr Emmet Fox has pointed out, is the number of spiritual fulfilment, and corporate completeness. The number "seven" is the number of individual completeness, perfection of the human soul, and fulness in the world of phenomena.
In his book Diagrams for Living (1968), Emmet Fox points out that the twelve tribes of Israel stand for the "foundation faculties of the human soul.” He goes on to write:
"... [U]nless all your faculties are oriented toward one point, you are not going to conquer the heathen within yourself. You are not going to win freedom, health, and spiritual development. If you allow any of your faculties to take the easy way, you are not going to get the victory."
The twelve powers are variously expressed by different authors and practitioners. In Unity, the twelve powers and their corresponding disciples and locations in the human body are said to be as follows:
    1. POWER - Philip - root of tongue.
    2. FAITH - Peter - centre of brain/close to pineal gland.
    3. WILL - Matthew - centre of left forebrain.
    4. DISCRIMINATION/GOOD JUDGMENT/WISDOM - James, the son of Zebedee - pit of stomach (solar plexus).
    5. UNDERSTANDING - Thomas - right forebrain.
    6. ORDER - James, the son of Alphaeus - behind the navel.
    7. PURITY/RENUNCIATION/ELIMINATION - Thaddaeus - abdominal region (lower bowels).
    8. STRENGTH - Andrew - loins (the small of the back).
    9. LOVE - John - back of the heart.
    10. LIFE/LIFE CONSERVER/REGENERATION - Judas - reproductive organs.
    11. IMAGINATION - Bartholomew - between the eyes (“third eye”).
    12. ZEAL/ENTHUSIASM - Simon the Cananaean - back of the head/base of the brain (medulla oblongata/hypothalamus).

The application of Kabbalah, a mystical Jewish tradition, to the history of America can be an intriguing exercise in exploring metaphors and symbolic interpretations. However, it's important to note that Kabbalah is primarily rooted in Jewish mysticism and focuses on Jewish teachings and traditions. The connection between Kabbalah and the history of America is not a direct or traditional one.
That being said, we can attempt to provide a broad, metaphorical interpretation of the history of America through a Kabbalistic lens, acknowledging that this is a creative exercise and not a definitive perspective:
Founding and Sephirot: Just as the Sephirot represent different aspects of the divine, the founding of America can be seen as an emanation of various principles and ideals. The pursuit of liberty (Gevurah), equality (Tiferet), and justice (Yesod) can be seen as foundational values that shaped the nation.
Spiritual Journey: Kabbalah emphasizes the spiritual journey of the individual. Similarly, the history of America can be viewed as a collective spiritual journey, with the nation evolving and progressing over time. This journey includes struggles, challenges, and transformative moments that have shaped the nation's identity and values.
Tikkun Olam: In Kabbalah, the concept of Tikkun Olam refers to the responsibility to repair and heal the world. This idea can be applied to America's historical narrative, as the nation has grappled with social injustices, seeking to address them and create a more equitable society. Movements for civil rights, women's rights, and other social justice causes can be seen as expressions of this principle.
Unity and Diversity: Kabbalah teaches that unity can be found within diversity, with each individual contributing to the greater whole. Similarly, America's history is shaped by its diverse population, where people from different backgrounds and cultures come together to form a unified nation, celebrating their unique contributions.
Transformation and Renewal: Kabbalah emphasizes the potential for personal and collective transformation. In the history of America, transformative moments such as the Civil War, the Civil Rights Movement, and other pivotal events can be seen as opportunities for renewal and growth, leading to the evolution of the nation.
It's important to remember that these interpretations are symbolic and metaphorical in nature, and they are not universally accepted within Kabbalistic traditions. They are offered as a creative exploration of connecting Kabbalistic concepts to the history of America. Individual interpretations may vary, and further exploration of Kabbalistic texts and guidance from scholars can provide a more comprehensive understanding of the tradition.

I think this has to be one of my favourite recordings of Dr Murphy. He was a brilliant orator - I love the command he had of the English language. Plus his knowledge of Thought Science was second to none. These works clearly demonstrate that he was an advanced Mason. In fact, he even mentions Jachin and Boaz in this session which are very important symbols in Freemasonry.

I don't put them there. I don't monetize the site. I derive no money from it. What you should do is--download the video and listen to it, commercial-free. That's using one's twelve powers. keep well. And stay happy.

DO You actually think it’s this channel that decides how many commercials? I’m sure you know it TH-cam/google that is the greedy one.
I heard a trick that if you slide forward all the way to the end, the commercial will showing and you can go back and you won’t get commercials. I forgot about that. Let me remember to try that as well. Maybe it only works for a shorter videos with one or two commercials. Let’s find out.

I’ve never watched a video with this many commercials! Sad!

See my answer above. You obviously haven't listened to too much on TH-cam. I have no more commercials than anyone else. I don't determine how many commercials or their length. Get wise. Find a lateral solution. They do exist. Cheers!

I’m not having the same experience as you. I’m wondering if the type of service you have has anything to do with it. I’ve never thought about it but maybe certain companies are on the take to allow TH-cam to put more commercials than others cellular/Internet services for financial gain.

Why don't you write to TH-cam about it. Say something positive. I don't put the commercials there. I don't monetize the site. Have a nice day.

Did you include the power I have to curse you?
    Mark 11:21
    Jesus taught me that.
You're supposed to bless your curse. Matthew 5:44 "Bless those that curse you" and your bloodline, and your entire mind game industry.

Thanks for your contribution. Yes, we should indeed bless those who curse us and pray for our enemies.

I did hear him talking about that in another lecture. He sites one instance where a woman’s Hawaiian husband’s father was the head of a tribe and did not like her and tried to curse her. She blessed him and he died of his own curse. Long story short.

Overboard with the commercials. Very distracting. DR. MURPHY wouldn't approve.

I don't monetize this channel. Take it up with TH-cam and move on.

@@drianejDr Murphy might tell you to Bless these commenters, and move on as well. I sense a passive aggressive tone in some of your replies. Maybe just say “TH-cam not I🙏”.
🙏 thanks for your channel 🙏
