Divine Science minister, lecturer and author Dr Joseph Murphy (1898-1981) was one of the giants of the New Thought Movement. His most famous book is The Power of Your Subconscious Mind (1963). During the many years that Dr Murphy was Minister-Director of the Church of Divine Science in Los Angeles, thousands of people would crowd into the Wilshire-Ebell Theatre to hear his message, and millions tuned in to his daily radio program. Dr Murphy also lectured throughout the world, including making two lecture trips to my country Australia in 1955 and 1962-63 under the auspices of New Thought Centres, Australia.

Ahhh...the scapegoat! Thank you. I’ve never heard this lecture. I have come to believe it a bit sickening, that a God would desire sacrifice for missing the mark!
And even The Bible says, by David, I believe, that God does not delight in sacrifice or David would give it to God.
As I see it, we must recognise the allegory and sacred symbolism in Scripture. The Spirit of God is always being sacrificed on the Cross of Matter--and then rising again. Involution and evolution. We are part of that eternal process of life's self-givingness.

can be understood as, the Sun's reflection on water,
or a boat, ark, or now as water ski's.
It is a miracle, but Science does not dispute these facts.
All of life is a miracle of sorts. Consciousness is perhaps the ultimate mystery that is still not fully understood. Thanks for your comment and interest.

I will believe myself healed from this debilitating depression. I was one move away from being free and living the dream life and I made that wrong move that caused regret and depression to set in. That was like my Judas I guess.
That's a good way of looking at it. Our twelve powers are within us all, not just one person. I find it helpful to focus each day on the ONE Power and Presence that animates and sustains all things. Call it God, Omnipresence, Truth, Love, Life ... it doesn't really matter. What does matter is that we live in and through that Presence. All the very best to you--and thanks for your comment.

I don't have set beliefs, but I would ask: Is it possible that an evil entity (Satan or whoever) would've know what Christianity would be, so the entity created warped versions of it (virgin birth, God who dies and comes back, etc) to predate Christianity and cause ppl to reject it bcuz it seems like a copy-paste of other faiths?
If I wanted to undermine someone's work, and I knew they were about to publish an article or release a song or sthg, I might just do a slightly different version of that work and release it first, lol
It's a bit like the Devil supposedly inventing dinosaur bones to deceive us from our relationship with, or belief in, God. My fundamental belief in God as the Only Presence and Power active in the universe, and in your life and mine, precludes me from even entertaining such ideas. God is all there is. God is Omnipresence and Omnipotence. There is no room for any adverse power or presence. Keep well and thanks for your comment and interest in the subject matter.

I just watched a documentary on the seeming of the stopping of the Star of Bethlehem! It was the combination of 2 planets & 1 was in retrograde, so it appeared to stop! This is astronomy! I think the 1 planet was Jupiter that was in retrograde. Interesting.
