This is a really well done remix and very dance'able to the people who listen to this type of music. The original is superb and makes me wanna dance with arms wide open... this remix makes me delve deeper into the night with a familiar vocal. I guess what im saying is... you dont always have to dance with a smile
In a certain way i agree with you. But the main idea for a dance remix is that, create a dance piece. The remix work is just a fun track. The original song is a masterpiece.
Thing is, the original would never be played at a dance music event, while this has just enough tempo to be mixed into a set as a downtempo track that comes in after several uplifting beats. Either way if Pete Tong hadn't played this on his show then I wouldn't have discovered Arctic Fire. And that would've been unfortunate.
I think the original actually has more dance potential than this remix. :P The remix is groovy and all, but the original makes me feel like flinging my whole body around dancing like a madwoman in the streets. The remix has the fancy beats and whatnot, but the original has a FEELING, or something, or whatever that is that makes me want to run in the streets. I could dance to this, I guess, but I can feel a little more in the original.
Sorry to say this, but what a terrible remix. The original is such a beautiful composition, and they completely butchered it with boring beats and no depth to it whatsoever. Also, especially with a band like Arcade Fire the lyrics are a very important part of the song, and with most of them gone it just feels empty
Whoever did the video editing should get an award.
true!
till this day ❤
my favourite Djs and my favourite band!!! does not get much better
