I actually really appreciate the hopping around the house projects roll out you have going on here. Much more realistic view of how a huge project like this functions. And when you are doing as much of the work as you are doing by yourself (in conjunction with working around supply issues and contractor schedules) it just makes more sense to skip around to the parts of project that can be done right then. The accent wall looks great! I love how the exposed paint behind it almost looks grout like on camera giving it a big tiling effect!
I love this look! I had a very dark.brown bathroom for many years, which everyone in my life said would make the room look dark and ugly, and everyone who saw it in person said that it was just so sharp and modern. I love the dark blue with the panels, and the fact that the panels are all random, it's just so new and contemporary.

At first I thought your color choice was too dark...but on seeing the accent wall installed...I think you did really well in color & stain choices...the overall feeling is very peaceful and calming...a good thing for a bedroom...once again Good Work!...can't wait to see it complete. (Hope the bike shop is doing well!).

I love the color! That's perfectly my style. I might have even done a different color opposite the plywood. I dunno...I have thoughts LOL! I definitely approve of the reveal between the plywood panels. I thought it would be too much at first but it's perfect. No shame about the former landline telephone box. I probably would have done the same. AT MOST I would have used some Great Stuff foam to fill and insulate it but definitely no drywall patch and plaster. For a wall box it would just be a waste of time and materials.

What is your experience with spray mist? And doesnt the sprayer get quite heavy in one hand over time?
Thank you! I’m honestly obsessed with my sprayer. I use it for so many projects, even when they are not sponsored. I love using it for wood finishing especially when I can’t get my hand on store-bought wood finish. It can, but you don’t have to fill the whole chamber if it’s too heavy. You can just fill it in smaller increments!
1. This room is gorgeous. 2. It has never been more clear how fiercely petite you are until you spend an extended period of time standing in front of a 4x8 in a big empty room. 😂

I live an apartment so painting and wallpaper is not an option but I want an accent wall (2 actually) but I'm not sure how I want to do it. Screws are allowed because I can fix them when I move but I'm tired of boring white walls any thoughts?
Would removable wallpaper be an option? They make really pretty temporary ones now! You could also do something that screws or nails into the wall without adhesive and then patch the holes when you move out?
Coming from Europe I'm struggling to understand why people in US are so in love with dark brown tones of the wood. It make space smaller andit's aesthetically attractive. In this case it even create less contrast which is the basic element of things that we perceive as beautiful.

You should get either a ring light or some type of bright lighting to help you with projects when it starts getting dark
