Based on the WR market lately, having a superstar TE as your first option is genius.
Assuming the OC takes adantage of said TE. I am excited and curious to see how Brady uses Kincaid and improves the running back pass game productivity in his offense. I do think the flexibility Curtis Samuel brings keeps defenses on their toes.
Of all the content on the Bills I watch, yours is tops. I have a couple others that are close, but yours seems to end up in the top 2 every week, and mostly at #1. Guess I don't have to say this, but here goes anyway. Keep up the great work and excellent content.

So glad to see a moneyball reference, I’ve been saying that for the whole offseason.
The perspective of the general media about the Bill’s WR situation is interesting. Basically, “Chase Claypool being the most productive WR in OTA’s thus far probably does not bode well for Josh Allen.” However, I like the versatility and game planning around player’s strengths. All eyes on Josh Allen.
The Bills have become America’s team, no doubt. So many people want to see these guys hoisting that trophy next February in a sea of blue and red confetti. Getting goosebumps here!

I'm firmly about paying top level talent if you find it, but with the money constraints of having the second best player in the NFL, I'm pretty comfortable with letting suitable starters walk. the bills are in a spot where they can attract free agent talent through josh allen and the allure of winning. we dont need to pay money to average starters to keep them here. draft and develop and if you find something special pay that man. this is obviously within reason and you want to feel comfortable without throwing all of your responsibility on rookie contracts, but you have to pick and choose, and i think the coaching staff can get suitable play out of draft picks but its hard to coach into gamechanging players.

Has a WR ever not been the second best paid position?
Moneyball was based on identifying inefficiencies in the player market through advanced statistics. That’s not how the Bills got to this juncture. Rather, they neglected WR in the early rounds of the draft for years. Thus they don’t have good established core receivers. They have either veteran question marks like MVS and Hollins or emerging receivers like Shakir and hopefully Coleman. There is very little evidence yet that the Bills have identified undervalued players through analytics, which is what Moneyball is about. It’s not simply hire the cheapest players, you have to extract excess value by finding some diamonds in the rough. Otherwise you paid for low value and got low value. Maybe it will prove out with Samuel, hope so.
The major dice roll is in a historically deep draft for WR's, they picked a project that probably would have been there in the third and got nothing else. We're relying on players off the scrap heap to go along with our drafted players like Shakir, Kincaid, and Knox who are all nice players, but there was an opportunity to get young, cheap, possibly game breaking talent and they went moneyball instead. Outside of Beasley and Emanuel Sanders for a minute, this approach has failed.

SVPG can definitely be the Shakir of this draft class. They're both players who probably dropped to the 5th because they didn't reach arm length thresholds.
Something no one talks about with deals is the money making side of football, not just the team value. Jj is the vikings best player, he's the best receiver in the nfl. The amount of revenue that he alone drives for the vikings is enormous. Same for a guy like tyreek hill or devante adams. Even tho the raiders suck you'd go watch him play or buy his jersey.
Who else has/had the money ball approach to WRs??? The two dynasties of the 21st century... Brady's Patriots and Mahomes' Chiefs... When you have QBs like that you protect them and build the defense...
Bishop seems like a great athlete. I would not be surprised if they let him practice kickoffs. We have all seen Tyler Bass try to tackle...it's ugly.

I hate that this is called a moneyball approach the Packers and Bills like it’s some intentional thing if they had Justin Jefferson or Ceedee Lamb they would pay them all the money. It’s pretty simple if you have a premium player pay them if you don’t look for good value.
You must not remember the packers willingly let Davante Adams go and we just let diggs walk. Its definitely a conscious choice. Hence moneyball.
They should have an incentive in Josh's contract. If he wins a Super Bowl, he gets 30 million.

Kickoffs out of the end zone start at the 30 yard line. If kick coverage has the potential to be a disaster for some kicking teams, I see coaches having no problem just kicking it out of the end zone.
Speaking of Tua, how is Miami able to pay 2 WR's combined about 60 million and then throw in Tua at about 50 million that's 110 million tied up in three players.
Well they did let some good defensive players walk with out paying them and they have have some young players on defense as well to hopefully fill their gaps for that fan base 😂
The cap is real but is also somewhat flexible. Expect a big signing bonus for tua prorated over 5 years+. Also expect his salary (pay per game) to be league minimum the first year or two.
IMHO- Diggs was a locker room and sideline cancer. In addition- he would disappear in games at a time. Why keep a guy who poisons your locker room and disappears- regardless of his contract. He had 4 years to take the Bills to the next level and didn't get it done. The wide receiver room looks like it does mainly because the Bills were DONE with Diggs. It clearly wasn't a move to save money, so I don't buy the money ball thing.
..and don't have your best player be your Punter... 2000's Bills.

I feel like your going to see the WR market change in the next 3-4 yrs as the WR position is going to be stacked and flooded with talent with all the 7 on 7' s and how much is being poured into the WR position.
I agree with the moneyball approach at wr, that being said next year depending on how many wr's they keep, they should take more swings at it in the draft. Pick 2wr's and a few edge players. We have QB, left tackle, let's draft the high dollar positions and get low cost free agents for other positions.
