Harbaugh told everyone....we're gonna run the ball, we're gonna play great defense, take the pressure off of Herbert, and we're gonna play solid football. That was the most Harbaugh game ever. At no point in the 2nd half was I at all concerned the Chargers would blow it. Buckle up NFL, it's gonna be a fun season
Its definitely Harbaugh football. But the lack of depth on passing game is going to be exposed with good teams. You can’t just run the ball with someone like Herbert and itchy fingers to throw down the field.
And what happens when KC goes up by 2 scores early and they have to abandon the run? That being said, I actually like the Chargers and have since the Natron Means and Tolbert days. Love a smash mouth back
@@sriramkaushal226 It'll definitely be a conversation right? The Raiders were flying high because they went into KC last year and beat them. Yeah, they have Adams, but still, they did it with smashmouth football. Not sure what Harbaugh has in store for them but the defense looked great and even though the Chiefs have Karloftis and Jones, the Chargers took care of business in the trenches against the Raiders D and that is very promising. Who knows? Maybe the Chargers have more time to throw when they meet the Chiefs and McKonkey looks like the second coming of Keenan. I'm just stoked that Harbaugh called his shot and it worked. Chargers won, so well done to them. But - Raiders should have won this game. Giving away three turnovers, poor O line play and lack of Minshew pre-season practice with the one's, affected the Raiders. I think the Chargers team were helped by this.
@paulcooper7715 I know how you feel. The Chargers lost moat of their games last year by a field goal or less. If the ball had bounced right for them one more time in each of those games they are playoff contenders, Staley gets an extension, Kennan Williams Ek are still here. But that's the NFL. Put up or shut up. BTW, Bosa peanut punched that ball out for a fumble so that wasn't sloppy play, by the offense, that was excellent play by the defense. And Minshew did throw that awful lateral pass that the Bolts benefited from. Crosby did get stonewalled by a rookie OT and the Chargers won an ugly close game for once. And so long as Harbaugh is in town I expect that to be the norm. Good coaching matters

2:03:49 Jayden missed him wide open for what would’ve been a 65+ yard TD and wide open across the field a couple times. Kingsbury kept him on an island with zero motion to help and they didn’t even design any plays for him specifically until the 2nd half. What is he supposed to do when they’re not even trying to look for him and when they do, the QB misses?
I'm a fan of your podcast and always listen to it, but now allow me to make a major criticism. The comment about the pitch in Brazil being "horrible" is false and ignorant. The pitch is not horrible; on the contrary, it is wonderful and one of the best in the world. The fact is that in São Paulo, there's a lot of dew, and since the game was at night, the pitch was wet-NATURAL CONDITIONS, NOTHING TO DO WITH THE PITCH ITSELF. The stadium management informed the players about this and recommended a specific type of cleat; some chose to stick with their usual ones and slipped, but during halftime, everyone switched. What bothers me is that because it's a Latin American country, you automatically say the pitch is horrible without even researching. In 2018, the NFL played in the mud at Wembley, and I don't recall hearing you complain about it. We had a fantastic event and it was by far the best game of the round. Show a bit of respect to those who love this sport even from afar.
When did they say that? Please show me. I listen to this podcast almost every week, and I've never heard them complain about the pitch at games in Wembley or Munich. Until then, I’ll indeed suspect xenophobia, because I've seen a lot of it this week, unfortunately.
