Yes! The power of now really helped me with detaching the ego and meditating properly. You have to not judge the thoughts either. Now I like to imagine helper ninjas running and jumping in to take my thoughts and run off in a flash... found it more fun and faster than imagining you're a mountain and thoughts are clouds...could be ADHD idk

@@intersect5041 Literally what he is saying is this : during our life, we have conditioned ourselves to feel certain emotions : frustration because you're caught in traffic, annoyance at your coworkers, anger, guilt, fear etc. Everyday you feel those emotions, so the body craves them, essentially it takes dominion over your mind and your brain. When you sit down to start your meditation, your body takes control because it wants to feel those emotions again, he's essentially addicted to the chemical release that follow them. Therefore it starts projecting you images, thoughts, body sensations that will trigger those emotions and release the chemicals he's addicted to. That's not when you stop. Keep at it, don't give up meditating because your mind is wandering and you feel pain in your legs or whatever. Take a moment, become conscious that your body is forcing you to live in the past (old emotions he is addicted to), observe that, let it past and settle your body by telling it :" I am the one in control, I'm staying here and I will do something else."

Meditation is not just extreme pleasure. Meditation is the realization of immortality and the realization that everything is heaven. When you realize that, it's so good, it's infinitely good. It's not just good. It's good to the infinite degree. It's so much goodness that you can't contain it. your body can't hold it. Your entire body shakes and shudders in a cosmic orgasm of bliss. It's perfection. It's total peace. It's absolute love, that's truly meditation.

Just remember, when the brain slips back like that, it means it’s working normally. It’s just doing what it’s been trained to do which is actually a good thing. All it needs is “a little” help to learn a new path which, with practice, is totally doable! 😊

Explains why this morning i felt so anxious, knowing i had nothing to be anxious about!! I used to suffer from anxiety & panic disorders (narc abuse) so thats all my body knows what to do...PANIC!!! SO now we (body & I) aren't doing that any longer. Every morning you have to remind yourself that 'today, i'm not thinking about those things!! I am safe & protected.' It helps to write down whatever it is you're worrying/worried about as well. This stuff takes time so give yourself GRACE!!! Youre doing the best you can (even when you aren't) We are all healing one step at a time

There are many forms of meditation.
Some years ago, I took a free weekend course at the Mind's Eye Museum on Busch Boulevard in Tampa. The visiting yogi was a Puerto Rican woman. Smiling, she gave each of us a raki on our foreheads.
Raja Yoga isn't Hatha Yoga, the stretchie sort. In Raja Yoga, you sit still and focus your vision on a single bright point. A candle is often used, but even a poster with a bright point will do.
It's an open eyed form of meditation. Raja is the Eastern Indian word for king, and it was thought that a king should be opened eyed at all times.
Once trained, a person can meditate at any time, even while driving.:)

It's really hard for the first time to meditate....unnecessary thoughts arises everytime we sit for meditation. But when we start getting awareness to get ourself back. Meditation is not going into your mind and body and not leaving for 20 min. That doesn’t have the benefit of when your brain leaves for a min, you realize it, and you bring it back to the present. That’s the meditation. Keep bringing yourself back over and over and being at peace with it
