It’s crazy just how different our interpretation of dinosaurs has changed over time!
Without a doubt one of the most iconic fight scenes in dinosaur movie history considering that it shows a T-Rex fighting and killing a Agathaumas. Add to the fact that it also kills a Pteranodon after it kills the Agathaumas makes this scene even more iconic and unforgettable.

The Tyrannosaurus attacked the Agathaumas shortly after the Agathaumas killed the Allosaurus, right? I wonder if someone has the clip when the Agathaumas killed the Allosaurus.
No The Allosaurus fought a Mother Triceratops. The Triceratops wounded the Allosaurus but the Allosaurus reappears in the movie later.

Didn't really like the scene, though. Why did I always hear that triceratops was one of the few dinosaurs that would fight the feared T-rex, yet every movie despict them as weak or losing to even other dinosaurs, sometimes in a pathetic way?
+MrDibara the makeup and design of the Triceratops probably made for more interesting scenarios for filmmakers to put the T-Rex up against a worthy foe. For all we know 65 millions years ago the T-Rex barely went for the Tri-tops since he had probably the best defense against him and since there were much easier options for the T-Rex to go for why risk it?. Why would it risk death, as depicted in so many clips, so easily going after the Tri-tops??
In modern times you have Lions as one of the top alpha predators out there. How many time have you seen on animal shows shots of them attacking say Rhinos or elephants? Not many, they are easily the hardest prey to bring down, unless they went after their young or one that sick or hurt. So would you see a T-Rex taking the bigger risk much more often going for a Tri-tops? Probably not. And I bet it would have lost in many more times then experts would like us to think.
armst012 Makes sense. Guess people just like seeing *"giant bad monsters"* fighting each other. Seriously, with kaijus like Godzilla, it's okay since they're monsters, they're not very rational when fighting. But animals? DINOSSAURS? Yup. People do over do it.

The dinosaur that fought the Tyrannosaurus rex after the plant eater killed the Allosaurus wasn't a Triceratops. This animal has a longer nose horn than Triceratops. The name of the animal here is Agathaumus.
MrDibara In the movie, the two scenes before this have an Allosaurus attack a trike and an agathaumas (the dino in this video isn't actually a trike, it's an agathaumas). Both times the Allosaurus loses. Only after the Allo loses, the T. rex wonders in and wins somehow. You could probably chalk it up to the Ag being caught off guard and tired

Stupenda pellicola, non è chissà che cosa ma comunque interessante e piacevole con ottimi effetti speciali di O'Brien per l' epoca in cui la pellicola usci', il 1925, ci sono degli errori come il fatto che uno scimpanzé è originario dell'Africa, non della giungla brasiliana, quindi stupenda e stupenda per me come valutazione è 8.

It’s not a Triceratops, but an Agathaumas. Not all dinosaurs with a frill, beak, and horns were Triceratops.

That's not Triceratops it's different Ceraptopsian. Triceratops showed later on. From Ceraptopsians first this Ceraptopsian Tyrannosaurus Rex attacks then later on attacks another Ceraptopsian a Triceratops with her young. She made her young hide by very gently pushing but Tyrannosaurus Rex didn't see it. Other Triceratops run away except female with young. When Tyrannosaurus Rex start fighting female Triceratops he gave up and run away before gets killed then young comes up where was hiding close by female.

This was 1925. Tyrannosaurus was identified in 1905. Thus, people only really knew of the Tyrannosaurus for 20 years.

@@greenveilgaming1149 oh okay, I have the version that came as a bonus feature on the 1960 version of The Lost World and while it had a few scenes put back in, it is still missing that scene as well as a few others so I just didn't see those scenes. I hope to get that Blu Ray they talk about on youtube.
