I didn't know that triceratops mums were so affectionate towards their babies. I loved how courageously she fought the vicious tyrannosaurus in order to protect her calf
I love the little creative touches like the t-rex's eyes reflecting in the dark like a cat, and the dead dino rolling into the water after Rex kills it.
There’s another movie called Carnosaur from 1993 that also uses a digging machine at a construction site, but Dinosaurus is a more entertaining movie. Carnosaur is mostly boring.

After falling into a bog while fighting an Allosaurus, it was captured and taken to civilzation. Where it terrorizes the city.) Brachiosaurus (One of the rarest species in the Plateau. It escaped the Volcanic Eruption while fighting a Tyrannosaurus.) Edmontosaurus (Is preyed upon by an Allosaurus.) Allosaurus (Main carnivorous dinosaur seen.) Triceratops (Seen protecting a young triceratops against an Allosaurus.) Agathaumas (Seen with Stegosaurus before killing an Allosaurus and being killed by a Tyrannosaurus.) Stegosaurus (Seen while distrubing an Agathaumas and escaped the volcano eruption.) Tyrannosaurus Rex (Is seen to have little trouble in bringing down the Agathaumas and Pteranodon and Brachiosaurus in the volcano eruption.)

I remember watching this on TV in the early 70's on a black and white television.
